Every Breath You Take

Chapter 7

Hung up the phone, Madrigal Jane went downstairs restlessly. Yale Guo was watching TV in the living room, "Are you going out?"

"Mom, Quarmy is in the hospital now."

"What happened?" Yale Guo became nervous, too.

"I don't know. He wouldn't tell me even when I asked him. I'm a little worried."

"Madrigal, don't push too hard. This will push him away." Yale Guo persuaded.

"I know, but I'm just worried." Madrigal Jane hesitated for a moment. "Mom, I saw Monica today!"

"Where did you see her?" Yale Guo was shocked.

"She doesn't look very good in the mall. I'm very worried." Madrigal Jane sighed.

"Are you worried that they will get back together? Don't worry, Monica is very vengeful. Quarmy Huo's abandoning her and not giving her a penny has already destroyed her heart. She will never have anything to do with him again." Yale Guo wanted to comfort her daughter, "I think that Quarmy has been getting better and better with you recently, and you are going to get engaged soon. She can't make any trouble." "Mom, why does she come back now? I can't help but feel something sneaky."

"Didn't you say that she was not doing well? Maybe she couldn't make ends meet, even if she wanted to get back together with him, Aunt Huo would not agree. Don't worry."

As the mother and daughter were discussion, the car's voice came from the door. "Your dad is back!" Yale Guo immediately stood up and walked out. Madrigal Jane followed her to the door. Zoe Jane came in with a smile. Seeing Madrigal Jane, he reached out and touched her head. "It's rare to see you at home."

"Dad!" Madrigal Jane smiled coyly. Yale Guo took the briefcase from Zoe Jane skillfully. "Did you drink today?"

Zoe Jane nodded. "A little!"

"I'll make tea for you!" Put the briefcase on the sofa, Yale Guo immediately made a cup of tea for Zoe Jane.

Zoe Jane took a sip of the tea and gave a sign to Yale Guo and Madrigal Jane to sit down. "I saw Moni today."

"Really?" Yale Guo smiled gently. "Where did you see her?"

"During dinner." Zoe Jane leaned back. "It seems that Moni doesn't hate me so much. She actually finished the food I gave her."

Yale Guo's smile did not change. "In that case, why don't you bring her home?"

"This can't be rushed! We have to take it slow!" Zoe Jane sighed. "Yale, if Moni is willing to come back, you have to be kind to her. Even if she gives you a hard time, you have to endure it." "I know." "Madrigal." Zoe Jane looked at Madrigal Jane. "You should also treat Moni better. If she is angry, let her let it out. You can't take anything from her if she wants it."

"Dad, don't worry," Madrigal Jane replied.

Yale Guo glanced at her daughter and looked at her husband. "Then what about Madrigal and Quarmy's engagement ceremony?"

"I'll talk about it with Madam Huo!" Zoe Jane answered.

Yale Guo breathed an obvious sigh of relief. "I'm just worried that Moni will feel uncomfortable."

"It's not Madrigal's fault. It's all my fault actually." Zoe Jane sighed. "But I have to make it clear to you that I'll leave all the property of my family to Moni after Madrigal and Quarmy get married, as compensation to her."

"I am not with you for those properties, and Madrigal will never compete with Moni." Yale Guo promised ignorantly. His family's property was nothing compared with Quarmy Huo's. Only a fool like Monica would give up Quarmy Huo.

"Dad, I only want Qi Ming, and I don't want anything else." Madrigal Jane also made a statement. Zoe Jane was very satisfied with the understanding of his wife and daughter. "I failed to satisfy you!"

"As long as dad and sister are happy, it's worth for me to do anything." Madrigal Jane looked like she was sacrificing her whole life for fairness. Zoe Jane was even more moved. "During this period of time, I have more free time. You can inform Quarmy to set up a meeting for both sides of the parents, and discuss the engagement!"

Yale Guo and her daughter looked at each other, their eyes were full of complacency.
