Escaping my arranged marriage with Alpha Prescott Chapter 85
Chapter 85
Matilda
Doctor Zach and Owen had helped to empty the hospital. Luckily, there weren’t any wolves who needed treatment right away so it was easy for them to move out of the hospital.
Mason was guiding his pack members to follow him to the den in the forest part of the pack from where the tunnel began. The path led directly to my pack which was quite surprising but I remembered the Alphas making secret paths to reach out to the Alpha King’s pack in the first war they had with the witches.
Sadly, the history was repeating itself and this time, my people were counting on me. It was my duty to protect them and fight the foes like Venus did. Perhaps people were right. I was born to finish Venus’s task. She wanted to harbor peace between all the supernatural species but before she could do that, her mate died and she couldn’t bear the pain of losing her mate.
There were many rumors about her death. Some said that she was brutally killed by the enemies. whilst the other said that she was betrayed by her mate and murdered in cold blood.
‘Luna, can you cover the east side?” Caleb’s voice brought me out of my reverie and I saw the rogues coming towards us with howling and growling.
‘Yes, Caleb. I shifted into my wolf form and held my sword in my paw. My wolf wanted me to fight with the weapons and I didn’t dare to go against her gut feeling, because wolves’ instincts were always right and stronger than the human part.
I unleashed my aura and the flames of fire started circling me in raging flares. All of the five rogues halted, glaring at me in awe and fear.
I howled, looking at the moon in the sky, and marched toward them.
“Catch this in your mouth, Queen,” Owen’s voice echoed and I turned to see him throwing a dagger at me. I swiftly caught it in my other paw and placed it in my mouth.
“Shift into your human form, Beta. Fight in your human form and make sure that you don’t touch. them. They have gone feral. They are no longer werewolves, they are the monsters and sla ves of the Witch King,” Owen warned us in his deep baritone voice.
I didn’t wait for them to attack me, I raised my dagger and put it right through one of their heart, and before his companion could jump at me, I lifted my sword, and his snout was thrown away. I protected myself from getting their blood on my b*dy as they smelled of wolfsbane.
They couldn’t attack me because of the fire and I used it to my advantage and killed all of them one by one. I sought Caleb to know if he was safe and needed my help but I was relieved to see three rogues’ collapsed bodies lying on the ground beside him while he stood there n*ked.
I turned my gaze away from him and heaved a sigh of relief after seeing no sign of more rogues coming in our direction.

“You should head to the tunnel, Owen,” I suggested, seeing his hand trembling slightly. He was still weak and needed time for recovery but still, he was trying to help us.
“I will be the last person to close the door of that tunnel, my Queen. That’s my duty.” His eyes as he flashed a smile at me, assuring me that he was fine.

The booming resonance of paws thudding against the earth prompted me to turn my attention. back to the borders and I found ten rogues barreling towards me with a fierce, predatory glare.
“I’m coming to your side,” Caleb said but before he could come, I heard the rogues’ howls from his side and saw five rogues sprinting in his direction.
‘No, stay there and fight them, I commanded through the link before advancing on the rogues who now surrounded me. They bared their fangs at me and tried to attack me but hissed in pain when the fire burned them.
I was skilled in using weapons in my wolf form so it wasn’t that hard for me to put my sword and dagger through their hearts and split their throats. The toughest task to do was saving myself from getting their blood on my b*dy.
There were only two of them remaining when a rogue with a powerful aura rushed toward me and. threw a dagger in my direction because none of them could stand closer to me, let alone touch me. I ducked my head and the dagger fell to the ground.
“All of you are f ucking useless,” he roared after shifting into his human form. Suddenly a sharp pain shot through my b*dy and my wolf was agitated, she was getting restless and
I tilted my head to find Caleb struggling to fight two rogues at a time. They had grown really feral and more powerful than a werewolf could be.
Ignoring the n*ked rogue, I killed the remaining rogues and rushed to Beta’s side but a dagger hit my paw and I winced in pain.
F ucking wolfsbane… It burned my flesh and forced me to stop. I tried to mindlink Prescott but he didn’t respond so I reached out to the Gam ma who said that Prescott needed me.
I felt a knot of unease in my stomach as an ominous sensation gripped my heart. Something had happened to him, I could feel his pain through the bond.
“Pathetic Queen,” the man who earlier attacked me stood in front of me and smirked. I didn’t let my gaze drop to below his chest. I f ucking hated how he stood there n*ked unbothered in front of
me.
Despite him being the rogue, he was obliged to respect the Queen but he had no ounce of shame left. I wondered why my aura didn’t force him to submit or even flinch. He was strong but he wasn’t a born Alpha, I could tell from his nasty scent and aura.
I emitted a threatening snarl and bared my elongated canines at him furiously. The pain in my leg was getting worse but I mustered my strength and leaped in the air, charging at him with my sword.

and dagger.
He was caught off guard, he didn’t expect me to attack him after being poisoned by wolfsbane so it was easier for me to put my sword through his chest and cut his throat with my dagger. He couldn’t guard himself because my fierce fire aura burned his flesh.
“Finally, he got what he deserved,” Owen murmured, sighing heavily. “The rogue Alpha is dead.”
Owen came forward with a bowl of green paste and applied it on where I was wounded. It burned for a while before bringing instant relief. Caleb had managed to kill the rogues but there were severe wounds on his b*dy and most of his bare skin seemed burned.
‘Please, heal him. He is losing his consciousness, I requested Owen, noticing Caleb’s eyes threatening to shut. ‘I need to go!”
I trusted Owen so didn’t wait for his response and went inside the packhouse to grab my clothes. and change into them before shifting into my human form. With a pounding heart, I scurried. toward my mate. My b*dy trembled with rage when I saw him lying on the ground and a bit ch caressing his chest.
“Stay the f uck away from my mate, bi tch,” I roared at her before pulling her away from Prescott and slapping her hard. “How dare you touch him?”
My nails drew her blood out and it burned my flesh. Prescott warned me about the poison in the rogues’ bodies through the mind link before passing out.
“How could you come here?” She screamed in frustration after I let go of her hand. “You should have been dead by now.” She clenched her jaw.
“But I’m not, seems like your plan to kill me has failed miserably,” I smirked though I was having a burning sensation in my entire b*dy. “Your father and all of your minions are dead.”
Her face drained of all color and she gasped, her hands covering her mouth. Her expression pained before she broke into a fit of laughter. “I knew that he would be dead. He should have been dead a long time ago. He was such a useless father. He never listened to me but now with him gone, I can. finally do as I please.”
She wasn’t just evil, she was sick. I hadn’t expected her to be happy about her father’s death. No daughter in the world would be so heartless and cruel
“Well, Alpha Queen,” she pouted, making a puppy face. “Your mate is poisoned and he will lose his life unless he gets the antidote which happens to be me,” she pointed a finger toward herself with a devilish smirk on her face.
“I asked him to mark me and save himself but he was so stubborn,” she tsked.
I wouldn’t let this b itch manipulate me. I was the blessed wolf, I could heal my mate. Although I was in pain and my b*dy was burning with a strange sensation, I focused on my healing powers and channeled my powers to him but all my efforts went in vain as his b*dy didn’t respond at all.

“It is the poison created by the dark magic. Your healing powers can’t save him,” she rolled her eyes.
