Chapter Ten

As much as I hate shopping I'd do anything to please my beloved and if Tasha thinks for a second that because we had a thing over the centuries I won't kill her, boy does she have it coming. If my beloved is uncomfortable, I'll fix it and if Tasha is causing the discomfort she's got to go. I may not be is as rough as Stone who wouldn't hesitate to rip her head off but I can be a monster when it comes to Anna.

I'm sitting hear waiting for Stone to finish dressing when I hear the doorbell ring.I get up to see who it but Anna said she is gonna answer but me being protective of her I still go to check. Anna is standing at the door with a note in her hand.

"The bitch just doesn't give up" I hear her mutter

Oh boy.

"Babe, let me see" I said while taking the note from her.

Stone get down here. I said knowing very well he his mind open.

Stone and I are not blood brothers but we have grown together as family. On our 1800th birthday in 1532 the council made the decision to pair us together to share a bond with our beloved. Of course at first i didn't like the idea but a few centuries down we learn't that it may just be the right thing to help calm our beasts. Stone and I are not leaders or council members but we are purebloods.

Purebloods are vampires that are born instead of bitten but instead of being born to a human and a vampire, we were born a pure vampire blood family, that is why we are considered purebloods. Anna doesn't know this as yet but we plan to tell her after we returned from shopping.

Although Christian and Christopher are Stone's brothers they are not purebloods. They were born before their mother was turned. After the twins birth she was dying which resulted in their father turner her. Six centuries later she conceived Stone thereby making Stone a pureblood. This is why the council decided to pair us off with one beloved, because in human or vampire stage he or she will produce purebloods.

I was snapped out of my thoughts hearing Stone descend the stairs. He seemed genuinely happy which is difficult to see on Stone's face but of course that smile disappeared as soon he read the note.

"This is bullshit. I'm involving the council." was all he said.

"You take her while I drop this to the council. I'll also notify Sean." I replied.

"Who's Sean?" Anna asked

"Sean takes care of the Coven while Stone and I aren't there." I said

"Coven?" she asked

"The coven is a society of vampires living together. A coven is ruled by a Duke also known as the leader. The vampires live under the command of the Duke. He or she decides when they feed, where they feed and permission to turn a human. Living under the coven means living under the protection of the Council and the Coven Duke. There are 14 covens, two in each continent. Stone and I run the eastern coven here in North America. This is our house but when doing business it's done at the coven."

By now her mouth must have touched the ground.

"Careful babe. You might catch flies" I told her

I watched as her cheeks colored changed to a light pink indicating that she's blushing. She looks so cute. Her face suddenly changed to that of realization then confusion.

"Wait. How did you two end up together if you are not related?" she asked

"Purebloods are vampires that are born instead of bitten. They are stronger, faster, intelligent and live for decades even millenniums compared to vampires who are turned by being bitten. In order to strengthen the bloodline of vampires the Council decided to pair two purebloods with one beloved so the off-springs will be more powerful than not only bitten vampires but purebloods as well." Stone answered

"So you're....." she trailed off.

"Purebloods" I finished

"How old are you too?" she asked curiously.

"2024, in human years I'm 24" Stone answered.

To say she was shocked speechless would be an understatement. We expected a 'what the fuck' or 'I am young and you are too old for my liking' but instead we got_

"Pedophile!!!!! Technically I'm 22 but you're what? 2000 years older than me. What did you live through? Oh my god?? I had sex with a pedophile.Wow, 2000........2000.........Wow. And you? How old are you?" she asked turning towards me.

I think I visibly paled at that question. I mean I knew she was gonna ask me but seeing how she reacted to Stone's age she'll probably pass out when she hears mine.

"Well?" she asked.

"Bet you $200 she flips?" Stone asked through our bond.

"She is not gonna flip. She'll understand" I replied

"You gonna bet then Mr. Confidence?" He replied

"Deal" I said.

I took in a fresh breath of air.

"Babe. Promise not to freak out?" I asked just in case.

"Is it that bad? How old are you?" she asked panicked

I can see Stone's smirk playing on his face. He probably won this bet already judging by the reaction she has before she spills.

I give up. She's so gonna freak.

I sighed.

"I'm 4525, in human age 25"

20 Seconds

50 Seconds

One minute.

One minute 50 seconds.

"WHAT!!!!!!" she shrieked.

Oh my sensitive ears.

"I had now not only had sex with a pedophile but I had sex with two pedophiles?!" She shrieked

"6000!!!!!"

"I need a drink" she said totally breathless.

We followed her into the bar room and saw that she was pouring three shots of Henessy. She slid one over to Stone, slid one to me and downed the last one in a flash. Thinking she was contended with the one shot was stupid. She put the bottle to her head and started drinking down the whole bottle.

When she finished she started swaying, a clear indication she was drunk.

"Kyle I got her, you get that letter to the Council" Stone said.

I nodded before heading to the door leaving my drunk beloved in the hands of the one I trust the most.

That bitch Tasha is so going to regret interrupting my vacation.
