Chapter 58 Trying To Go On A Date
I closed my eyes and forced myself to stop thinking about these things. Because I had been too tired recently, I soon fell asleep.
The next morning, when I woke up, the sun was already up. But because it was the weekend, I could have a good sleep.
I took a look at the alarm clock on the bedside. It was already 10 o'clock in the morning. I stretched on the bed and still didn't want to get up.
All normal workers like me liked to sleep in during the weekends.
However, just as I was about to go back to sleep, my phone suddenly rang. It was another call from Dylan.
I frowned slightly. There were still two hours left before we agreed to meet. Why did he call me so soon?
But even though I was a bit annoyed, I still answered the phone.
"Mr Moss, it's not time for our date yet, is it? Why are you calling me so soon?"
After I answered the phone, I asked lightly.
"No, no, I just wanted to ask you if you needed me to pick you up."
Hearing my words, Dylan was obviously a little nervous on the other end of the phone and somewhat expectant.
"It's fine, I'll take a taxi later."
As soon as I heard that he wanted to pick me up, I couldn't help feeling a little disgusted and refused without hesitation.
"Okay then, I'll just wait for you at the appointed place."
When Dylan said this, I could feel the disappointment in his tone, but I didn't really care.
After hanging up the phone, I didn't feel sleepy anymore. I got up directly and began to clean myself up.
I put on a light-colored dress, put on a light makeup, and went out.
As I left, Evie kept reminding me to behave well.
I rolled my eyes at her, exasperated, and went to the place I had agreed with Dylan.
We met at a coffee shop. The decor was very nice. When I entered the shop, Dylan was already there waiting for me. "Sorry to keep you waiting."
I sat opposite him and smiled faintly at him.
"That's alright, a lady has the right to be late."
When Dylan saw me, I could clearly see a trace of amazement in his eyes.
Hearing his words, I smiled faintly at him and said no more.
The atmosphere became a little awkward. After a while, Dylan looked up at me and said nervously.
"Miss Hunter, I think we are quite suitable. We can try to develop a relationship. What do you think?"
Dylan's words were expected. When he contacted me again, I already knew what he wanted.
I didn't have much feelings for him as he was still just a stranger to me. But in terms of marriage, he was a suitable candidate.
So I hesitated for a long time and finally decided to agree to have a try with him.
"I'm dating with marriage in mind. If you're on the same page as I am, then I think we can give this a try."
I looked at Dylan and said this seriously with no extra expression on my face.
Maybe he didn't expect me to agree so quickly, Dylan's face froze, and then he looked at me in surprise.
"Of course I'm dating because i want to get married. Miss Hunter, don't worry, I'm a very reliable person."
Dylan promised me anxiously. Looking at his excited face, I didn't feel anything, and I even felt a sense of pressure.
After the two of us drank a cup of coffee in the cafe, Dylan proposed to go shopping to spend more time together so that we could get to know each other. I didn't really want to go, but I had no excuse to refuse.
In the end, I agreed. The two of us walked on the road together. We were still strangers. For a moment, it seemed that we could not find a common topic to talk about, and the atmosphere became a little awkward.
"Wait a minute."
Just when I was wondering if I should find an excuse to leave, Dylan suddenly spoke.
I looked at him in confusion. When I saw him staring over my head, I frowned slightly and looked at him in confusion.
Dylan did not answer my question. He reached out his hand to me. I looked at him nervously and did not know what he was going to do.
"There's a leaf on your head."
After he took a leaf from my head, he explained.
I breathed a long sigh of relief. I thought he was going to do something intimate. We were still strangers now. Although I wanted to try dating him, I couldn't accept it if he wanted to do something intimate now.
"Thank you."
I smiled unnaturally at him and thanked him lightly.
Dylan seemed to be a gentleman. He didn't try to touch me on our first date. He was polite to me.
I looked at Dylan's elegant face and was about to say something, but a familiar male voice sounded not far away.
"Hollie, what the hell are you doing?"
Hearing the familiar voice, I suddenly looked towards the source of the voice. Brandon was standing by the car, staring at me fiercely.
I haven't seen him for many days. When he suddenly appeared in my sight, my heart trembled violently.
I looked at him in a panic. I didn't know why he was here.
As I was in a daze, he strode towards me. He stood in front of me and looked down at me.
"Miss Hunter, he is..."
Dylan, who was beside me, also noticed that the atmosphere was abnormal. He frowned slightly and looked at me in confusion. "He... he is the boss of my company."
I explained guiltily. My relationship with Brandon was more than the one between a boss and his employee.
Our relationship was not something to be proud of, so how could I tell my blind date about it?
It wasn't easy for me to find a suitable person, so I naturally couldn't let him know my relationship with Brandon.
"Hollie, am I just your boss?"
After hearing my explanation, I clearly felt that Brandon's anger was burning more vigorously.
He looked at me closely and asked coldly.
I looked away in a panic and didn't dare to look into his eyes. His eyes were so intense that my heart was beating wildly.
He did say that he didn't want me telling people about our relationship. But why was he here today? Wasn't he afraid that someone will know about our relationship? "Brandon, why are you here?"
I looked at Brandon in a panic and didn't know why he suddenly appeared here.
