Chapter 36
Every Sunday I would ask my mother the same question.
″Why can’t I go to Church with you?″
″You were born sick.″
I never really knew what that meant. Maybe there was an illness that banished you from going to Church? Maybe I had an illness my mother didn’t tell me about?
One day I finally asked her what that meant.
″God doesn’t love you.″ She told me.
″What have I done, mama?″
She hesitated at my words. Her gaze at me made me want to hide under the bed and never come out. She was looking at me like I had committed every Sin imaginable.
″There’s a part inside of you that is waiting to pour out... it’s going tear it’s self out of you one day. You’re going to rip the hearts out of the living... you’re full of hatred. One step in that church and you’ll burn, baby.″

TW: BRUTAL VIOLENCE AND BLOOD. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
3rd Person POV
He couldn’t explain the pain. He couldn’t put it into words. Every bone in his body ached, his body felt like it was on fire. It was definitely worse than the pain that Avel inflicted on him; The worst pain you could ever feel is losing your soulmate. He felt as Jaxon left this earth. He felt his pain. He felt his soul try to grasp onto this earth... but it couldn’t. He couldn’t escape death.
He only had one thing running in his head over and over again. The thought of shedding blood. The thought of running Avel’s blood into the gates of hell, the sound of Avel begging Seth for his life... but he won’t. The sound of his cries will be music to his ears... He will pay for taking what he loved most. He could strip Seth limb from limb... but once you mess with what belongs to him...
Run.
Avel stood at the top of the stairs with Jaxon’s body in his arms. He had the proudest smirk lingering on his lips as he gazed down at Lilith. This isn’t the first person he’s killed. He’s known as a murderer. He felt no remorse as Jaxon begged for his life, he felt nothing when Jaxon screamed out in pain. He always got what he wanted.
Seth pulled himself off of the ground abruptly, his black wings extending out from his back. He gazed up at Avel with obsidian black eyes; his jaw shaking in anger. He wasn’t there anymore... he fed into his dark side. He didn’t care.
He liked it.
He slowly made his way up the stairs. The undead tried everything in their power to pull him back down from the stairs; but all he did was raise his hand up in the air, pulling the souls from their body with no remorse. He knew what he was now... the Grim Reaper. He was not only going to take Avel’s soul... he will torment it eternally. He will make sure of it.
Avel slowly put Jaxon’s body down in terror as he approached him. He went to run back into the castle... but all you could hear was the howls from the werewolves on the other side of the door. They were aware of what Seth was going to do to him... they boarded the doors up.
Avel thrust his hand forward. He expected hell’s fire to attack Seth... but there was none left. Lilith knew it wouldn’t last... she knew that Seth would murder him. It’s all apart of her plan. Her sick, twisted plan...
″Avel... do you remember that time we spent together?″ Seth whispered to him. His voice... it was demonic. His black wings dragged behind him as he approached Avel; his black eyes gazing at him with murder in them. Avel backed himself into the large doors... the tears poured down his eyes. God’s voice was ringing in his head over and over again...
″You’re going to die a miserable, painful and brutal death at the hands of Seth Lenior.″
He knew now that he should have just stayed in heaven. Not only was he going to die a painful death... there is a place in the fields of punishment just for him.
″I...I’m so sorry, please spare me, please...″ Avel said in a cry. Seth now stood right in front of him; his power was leaking off of him like mad. He had a black aurora around him; his hands leaking black smoke. He had the biggest smirk on his lips as Avel begged for his life- it matched Lucifer’s mischievous smirk.
″You tore me limb from limb... you listened to my screams as I begged you to stop. It must have been music to your ears...″ Seth said to him. He leaned in closer to Avel; tracing his arms, his throat, his jaw. Avel wanted to pull himself away from the grip Seth had on him... but he didn’t. He didn’t want to make things worse.
″I should return the favor, shouldn’t I?″
Avel’s eyes widened in realization, a desperate scream leaking from his throat. Seth wrapped his hand around Avel’s throat tightly, lifting him up in the air. Avel struggled against his grip, pulling at his fingers. Seth didn’t flinch as he struggled against him- he liked it.
″I’m going to tare you apart like a little doll.″
You could hear Avel’s screams for miles.
He started at his arms, pulling at them like they were nothing but dolls limbs. The pulling of flesh and bones popping at the seams caught the attention of the thousands of warlocks and undead. They watched in horror as Seth ripped every limb off of his body. His face didn’t flinch as blood spilled onto his face, ruining the outfit that he wore.
″STOP!″
He didn’t stop. The sound of warlocks and vampires gasping and growing sick at the sight didn’t stop him. He only heard one thing repeating in his mind over and over again.
Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill.
He finally stopped once he finished. He carelessly threw his body down the flight of stairs like a ball, his blood splattering against the wet stone. The warlocks, vampires, and faeries gazed up at him in horror- Avel’s arms and legs were no longer attached to his body. How he did it? How did he have the strength to pull limbs off of a body like they were nothing but toys?
Lilith gazed up at him with amazement in her eyes. He did look awfully ravishing- his black curly hair rested on his head perfectly. His black wings spread around him almost like blankets- they were awfully big. By now... they were bigger than his father Lucifer’s. His black eyes were boring into her lifelessly.
He looked exactly like Lucifer... which she liked.
″My husband... My love.″ She started as she made her way up the stairs. He stayed still- emotionless. She swayed her hips with every step she took; her voice boring into his ears like honey. The demons at her feet whimpered in fear at Seth- They knew he wasn’t done. She was next... but she didn’t know that. She was too wrapped up in the love she had for him.
″Mm... a King also? You’re the whole package, my darling...″ She said to him as she finally made it up to the stairs. His lips slowly turned into a smirk once more as he stepped closer to her, their noses barely touching. She could feel his hot breath on her neck... she craved the touch of another living being since Adam.
″Kiss me, my love...″ She whispered, bringing her hand up to his cheek. She slowly grazed his pale skin tenderly, gazing into the black eyes he had.
He sunk his hand deep into her chest, grasping onto the beating heart that laid in her chest.
Her black eyes widened as he pulled it out of her without a word, his face remaining emotionless.
″I..I love you...″ She whispered, grasping tightly onto his arm. He crushed her heart in his hand, blood splattering onto both of their clothes.
″I don’t love you.″
She perished without another word, her body disintegrating and flowing away with the storm’s wind. He didn’t have to use the scythe to kill Lilith... he could kill the immortal with his bare hands.
He lifted his head up towards the undead. They were gazing at him with absolute fear in their eyes as he clasped his hands together, his long black Scythe appearing in his hands. He slowly raised his scythe up in the air, the sight of blood running down his hands making their stomachs twist in pain.
Within a few seconds, the undead perished from the earth. He collected each and every soul; returning them back to the fields of punishment where they belong. They will be tormented for eternity... they deserve it.
Lilith didn’t even go down to the fields of punishment or hell... or chained to some unknown part of hell.
She doesn’t exist anymore.
He finally turned back to the love of his life’s body. He was slowly returning to his old self- his eyes were flashing between the black and the neon green.
He sunk to his knees, pulling Jaxon’s head into his lap. He ran his nail slowly across his soft skin- he was still warm.
He placed his hand over Jaxon’s chest, inhaling deeply. There were a million different things he could do... he could bring him back to life with necromancy, he could command him around as the undead... but he didn’t want that. He wanted Jaxon back completely... and he could do that. Ariel made it so he could do that... that’s what Avel wanted from him all of these years. He didn’t quite know how to do it... but he has to try. He needs him back more than anything... he cannot go on without his soulmate. He just simply can’t...
″Rise,″ Seth whispered to him. He watched as his body still laid limp at his words; the color was drained from his face. He didn’t know if he had to say certain words to make him rise from the dead... he didn’t know if there was a certain spell to use Ariel’s power. This was all he could do.
He had just killed Lilith and Avel with his bare hands... this would be one of the easiest things he has ever done.
″Please... Rise.″ He repeated himself. Seth’s voice lingered with desperation... his eyes finally resting at the regular neon green. Tears threatened to pour from his eyes as he clenched onto his soulmate’s shirt...
A gust of wind suddenly surrounded both of them. All he could see is Jaxon’s body radiating a light green... it reminded Seth of the angel Ariel.
″I need you...″ Seth whispered out to him, the tears breaking free and flooding his vision. He didn’t notice how Jaxon’s chest began to rise up and down, his bright yellow eyes breaking open. All he did was sob over his body, crying out for Jaxon over and over again...
″I need you, please come back...″ He screamed out louder, covering his face with his hands. His body shook with sadness... all he needed right now was the embrace of his lover. The rain began to pour harder on top of them, thunder abrupting over all of them.
″Angel... I-I’m here.″ Jaxon cried out. Seth suddenly stopped crying, taking the hands from his face. Jaxon was gazing at him with tears lingering in his eyes, his facial expression twisted in silence.
″Oh my god, you’re okay...″ Seth said in a rush, pulling him up into a tight embrace. They both began sobbing as they hugged each other, desperately trying to cling onto each other with everything they got. The marks on their wrists burned, sending a satisfying feeling throughout both of their bodies.
Little did they know, Leviathan and Lucifer were standing off in the distance. They saw the whole thing... they saw how Seth killed Lilith and Avel. They were going to help... but decided to stand back and let Seth take care of it. They didn’t know how to react... they didn’t know if they were scared... sad... proud?
″...He did it. But how?...″ Leviathan whispered to Lucifer.
″...I don’t know.″
