Chapter 72 hours
Several Dreadnoughts arrived at the Steppe, with cannons trained on the floating continent shrouded the land below in darkness. Back at the Council Chambers, Roisin and Keegan watched as hundreds of Crystalliam Knights marched out of the front doors of the gigantic building.
"Hey, Roisin" Keegan said, as he leaned against the balcony.
"Hm?" Roisin smiled, as she looked at her brother.
"We need to get you to Jorvik, as soon as possible" Keegan replied. "I came across some intel while I was there, there's a Life Crystal there" He revealed.
"A Life Crystal?" Roisin raised her eyebrow. "That's impossible, there isn't one" She added.
"Apparently, our ancestor made one, and hid it in the realm of the Lacermen, away from the eyes of Lumina and Abyssia" Keegan explained. "The legend that surrounds it, also claims a 'Little Rose' will come and collect it" He continued. Roisin smirked slightly.
"Is this a long-winded height joke, again?" Roisin scoffed. Keegan chuckled and shook his head.
"Roisin means Little Rose, in old Ishtallian" Keegan explained. "That means the power is waiting for you, and given recent revelations, I think it is only for you" He nodded.
"This was all pre-destined?" Roisin pondered.
"Probably some prophecy created by that guy who pulled out of the teleport beam, back in Sanctuary" Keegan suggested, as he looked down at the last of the Crystalliam Knights leaving.
"You will have to take an airship down. While I want to come with you, it would be for the best if you took one of the Fighter Ships, they can get you there and back within hours" Keegan explained.
"Right, we're running on limited time here" Roisin nodded.
"There is another thing..." Keegan said, as he looked back at Roisin. "I still have the Dark Crystal's energy left to transfer into a Crystalla Host... or however it all works" He continued.
"I still have the Light Crystal's energy too" Roisin nodded.
"If we want to have a chance to win this, we need those Crystalla ready" Keegan sighed. "So, if you can find a way to channel the energy into a Crystalla, do it" He added.
"Hopefully the Life Crystal will trigger a reaction" Roisin said, as she stood up and looked at her watch. "We have just over 71 hours left now to prepare, lets get to it" Roisin nodded as she headed to the stairwell.
"Roisin, good luck!" Keegan smiled, as he waved to her. Roisin nodded and waved back, before descending the staircase. Keegan looked down to the great hall and watched the people working away.
Meanwhile, in the Sanctuary Lab's holding cells...
An alarm rang throughout the facility, as Hazel stepped out of the cells, and summoned a Celestial Blade in each hand. Soldiers ran down the stairs and opened fire on her, she somehow managed to block the bullets by spinning the blades in front of her. After the soldiers stopped firing, she summoned several Celestial Blades behind her and raised her hand in the air.
"Reloading!" The Guard Captain said, but it was too late, the swords flew into each and every guard's chest, they fell to the floor as blood began to cover the white glass floor of the corridor. Hazel rolled her eyes as she knelt down, and picked up the Captain's comms device. It was locked, Hazel shrugged, as she inserted a small chip into the device and unlocked it.
As the comms device switched on, she opened up a 3D holographic map of the Sanctuary facility, and located the teleportation chamber. Hazel grinned as she pulled the chip from the device and stood up.
"I'm coming for you, Roisin" Hazel whispered, as she did, she felt a sharp pain coursing through her brain, after a few moments it seemed to pass, she growled as she threw the comms device to the ground and headed out of the cells, leaving behind the bodies of the guards.
The red flashing lights in the cells illuminated the pool of blood that now covered the floor. As the alarm beeped away, loudly.
