Crowley Cove: The Royal Healer

Chapter Chapter Two

“Well, my dear, that is very admirable of you and we here at The Golden Light Academy will help you understand yourself more and reach your true potential within yourself,” The headmaster strongly said giving the young girl a soft smile.

“These two professors are in charge of teaching the speciality classes of magic for witchcraft and sorcery where you will attend Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the other days you will have regular school mixed with magic and academic classes,” Liliana nodded understanding her timetable as the headmaster introduced the two professors who both agreed to keep her secret safe from prying eyes.

Liliana bid her father goodbye, with her timetable and books I her hands to followed behind the two professors who are taking her to her first classes and showing her around the academy.

“Over there are the training grounds where I will be teaching how to utilize your offensive and defensive magic,” Professor Jericho chirped out, taking his leave to go teach his class full of students.

“That idiot has never changed,” Professor Julie whispered shaking her head in annoyance, motioning for the young girl to follow her to her first class which was mathematics.

After Professor Julie knocked on the door, she spoke with the other professor gesturing for Liliana to follow inside and Liliana tightened her books to her chest trying to keep her fears at bay.

In the far back of the room a young man was sitting in his seat, when he looked up to see the most angelic, beautiful female he has ever seen in his life, and for once his felt his cold heart, beat against his chest staring at this little beauty next to their professor.

“Everyone, listen up! This here is Liliana Lockhart, she will be joining us,” Professor Leon said with a strong and stern voice, clapping his hands in the process.

The young man stiffened in seat, slightly narrowing his eyes in thought, when he saw the innocent pure angel take her seat at the front of the room with the other warlocks and witches.

Liliana sighed out after taking her seat and pulling out math textbook and starting on the assignment to not be behind in her class work. “So, Lily, where were you before coming here?” the girl on her right spoke with a playful smile, with her curly red hair, freckles and bright green cat like eyes.

“I was homeschooled for a little awhile, seeing how my papa and mama adopted me when I was little,” Liliana softly explained to her fellow warlocks and witches.

“Oh, I was also adopted, and that is so cool, my name is Layla,” Layla happily chirped out along with a few others chuckling at the red girl’s happy exposition.

After a while Liliana was able to get through her first day of school, and now she was waiting for her mama to come pick her up seeing how her father was busy working at the local police department in Crowley Cove, as he works directly with her grandfather.

She took a seat on the bottom steps waiting with her messenger bag close to her body, and she started to hum a soft tune when she saw her mama’s car pull up, stopping in front of her, getting into the front seat without realizing someone was watching her.

The young man watched the little angel from his place in the shadows with hos three close friends all wondering what was going non with their cold silent friend seeing they have never seen him try and protect anyone that was not family or them.

“Lucien, what is going on man, and who was that girl?” Leonardo worriedly asked his close friend who shrugged and walked off with his hands in his pockets, and the three other young men all were stunned running after their childhood friend.

Lucien could not get the little angel out of his not even when he was working on his fighting skills along with his magic seeing how he will one day take over his father’ position as head of the family and the baron of the Bianchi Clan of sorcery.

“Son, what is going on, talk to me?” Lucien shook his head to try and get rid of the little angel he silently followed in the shadows making sure she was always safe and that was confusing him.

“Father, how did you know mother was your everything?” Lucien asked his father in a monotone voice.

The elder gentlemen raised one eyebrow in thought seeing his only child aggressively attack the dummies with force that was being used shattering the training dummies in one piece.

“Son, the moment I laid my eyes on your mother, I knew she was the one for me seeing how she was the only one who made my black heart to beat and feel emotions I thought was never there,” Lucien’s father gently spoke forcing his son to take a seat on the bench and handing him a towel to wipe away the sweat.

Lucien thought about how one look at the little angel he felt at peace and the only thing he wanted was to see her smile with happiness. “There is a new girl at school, and she arrived today, I don’t know why, but every time I would see her, her beauty would shine with her shy smile when she speaks with anyone. It’s like watching an angel brighten up the room with such grace, I don’t know what to do or how to feel,” Lucien aggressively said with a longing look out towards the window of the training room.

His father smiled at his son, watching him finally show emotion ever since his mother passed away a few years ago when he was only twelve years old from cancer. “Son, if this young girl, is who you have chosen, then you need to speak with her and become her friend and go from there,” Lucien looked at his father with a piece of his long hair falling inti his eyes from his man bun.
