Chapter 76
Chapter 76 Get Me Another Cup of Tea
The office was very quiet, with only the sound of Quincy flipping through
papers.
Renee stood still, not knowing what to say. As time ticked by, she saw the man subconsciously reach for the water cup, but then put it back down.
She thought for a moment, turned around and made a cup of orange tea to clear the heat and reduce the fire.
When she placed the cup on the table, the man finally stopped, took the tea and took a sip. The frown on his face relaxed considerably.
The tea she brewed, whether it was the temperature, sweetness, or acidity, was all to his liking.
Quincy, still wearing a stern expression, put down his cup, “What’s the matter?”
Renee’s face stiffened for a moment, she asked knowingly, didn’t he already know why she was here?
She didn’t lose her temper either, and said in a businesslike tone, “The Design Department needs the data of the stone you photographed yesterday.”
“Oh.”
Jerk, what are you oh–ing about? Will you die if you give a straight answer?
Renee held her temper, “If Mr. Patel has no objections, then I’ll proceed with Morris,”

I won’t deny it, then I’ll take it as your agreement.
She was just about to turn around and leave when a man’s voice came from behind her, “What, won’t Owen from DK Jewelry even buy you the same stone?”
His deep and pleasant voice carried a strong hint of mockery.
“Things between Mr. Morton and I were completely innocent, not as sordid as you thought. It was just because he saved me last time and wanted me to design a piece of jewelry for his mother’s birthday. That’s why I went to the auction with him, and also for work, to see stones of the same material. Unlike some people, huh.”
Some people – Quincy looked up: “So, did I misunderstand you?”
Hearing her explanation, his emotions became complicated.
Was it really so? Not for the sake of hooking up with a rich man?
“Anyway, in the eyes of some people, no matter what I did, I was always scheming, regardless of whether it was a misunderstanding or not. I just wanted to finish this job and clean up the mess someone had left.”
Renee was like a firecracker, her words carried the scent of explosives.
She let it all out and immediately regretted it. She hadn’t even gotten the stone yet. What if the jerk got angry and didn’t give it to her?
However, the office was very quiet, the man spoke softly, “Bring me another cup of lemon tea.”
Renee came out holding a cup, a bit puzzled, was it done?
When she came out of the tea room, Morris was walking towards her with a document in his hand, “Madam, it’s already signed. I will arrange for it to be delivered. You will be fully responsible for the safe, and I will send you the password on Line.”

“Good.”
Renee breathed a sigh of relief, yet felt immense pressure, for this was a stone worth twenty million.
The capricious man casually threw out so much money.
Morris paused, then said, “Madam, regarding the matter of the two bodyguards, it was actually for your safety, not to monitor or track you.”
He felt that this matter should be explained clearly.
“Protect me? How strange. He wished nothing more than for me to disappear from this world, to stop being a nuisance in his sight. Why would he send someone to protect me? Besides, I’m just a nobody, I haven’t offended anyone.”
Renee simply didn’t believe this reason.
She placed the teacup in Morris’s hand, “I have to go take care of something, you bring it in.”
Morris sighed quietly, the misunderstanding between these two was getting deeper and deeper.
He resignedly carried the tea in. The man looked up and saw the cup in his hand, snorted coldly, “A woman who burns bridges after crossing the river.”
Got the stone, and turned a blind eye immediately.
He had just asked the bodyguard who was tracking Renee, and indeed, they had only gone to dinner together yesterday afternoon. Owen had just returned from a business trip. While discussing the design, they both went to the auction.
The Design Department also only found out in the afternoon that there were stones of the same material at the auction, and Riley had inquired
about the auction tickets.
It must have been Renee who needed the tickets, hence she asked Riley for help inquiring about them.
In that case, everything was connected.
Quincy’s mood had improved somewhat, and as he thought of Owen, his slender eyes narrowed. That man, who appeared to be clean and upright on the surface, changed women very quickly in private. Was he now setting his sights on Renee?
Ha, I had to find something for the other party to do.
Quincy looked at Morris, “Leak some insider information about DK Jewelry to the owner of Luxe Jewelry. Since Owen is so idle, let’s give him something to do.”
Morris understood instantly, was this to teach a love rival a lesson?
In the following days, Renee had been working overtime in the Design Department, striving to produce the design drawings earlier to correct previous mistakes.
She was so tired that she couldn’t even open her eyes, and sometimes her stomach would react as well.
She looked at the computer while gently touching her belly, “Be good, baby. Mommy is working hard. It will be over soon.”
She had to finish the design today, so that it could be sent to the factory with the data tomorrow, allowing professional craftsmen to repair it and then manually recreate it.
Finally finishing late at night, Renee fell asleep directly on the office desk.

“Renee, the design document you sent last night was empty.”
In an instant, Renee was no longer sleepy.
