Chapter 30
Chapter 30 Beg Me With What?
“No. I’m busy.”
Renee refused him without hesitation.
Yet Josefina stuffed her into the car. “Renee, stop being such a kid. Be with Quincy well.”
The car door closed, shutting out everything outside.
Renee looked back at Quincy. “Having fun?”
“More or less.”
Quincy pulled away his fake smile and looked cold again. “You want to make things fun, don’t you? I might as well give you a hand.”
He thought, “I gave you so many chances, and yet you didn’t take them, Renee.
“You used Grandma to bring me a drugged drink and then used Mom to let you off regarding your resignation. You’ve done so many things. Do you think I’m a fool?
“This time, I’m gonna make you cry and beg.”
Renee took a deep breath. “I quit already. How come you’re still unhappy?”
She thought, “I didn’t ask anyone to take the headline photo.
“You fired me to vent your anger, and I said nothing. What are you doing now?”
“I’m far from being happy. Do you think everything is over, just because
100%
you quit? I call the shots in this game.”
Quincy stared at Renee and thought, “Don’t think you get to get away with your man after using my mom to quit!
“As long as I don’t let go, you’ll never get away!”
Renee ran out of patience, “Psycho, let me off!”
“Sit tight. This psycho is going to take you to a good show.”
When Renee met Quincy’s cold eyes, her back shivered, and she had a bad feeling.
After an hour, they came to somewhere.
Renee looked outside and felt that the place was unfamiliar. “Where are We?”
She got out and stepped back, ready to run away.
“You’ll know when we get there. Your beloved is there.”
Quincy walked inside without looking back. She dwelled on his words and suddenly, her expression changed. She thought, “Is Riley here?
“What does Quincy want?”
She walked in and saw Quincy surrounded by people, high and mighty. He looked back and parted his thin lips. “Come here.”
In an instant, many people looked at her. The eyes of those who had seen the entertainment headlines and gossip were meaningful. They realized that the gossip was true and that there was indeed a mistress.
Someone deliberately said, “Mr. Patel, aren’t you going to introduce her?”
“She’s my special assistant,

“Special, you say? Well, hello there.”
Renee bit the bullet and grinned, uncomfortable with the look in the man’s eyes. She felt that the word “special” suddenly meant something else when it came out of his mouth.
Quincy turned and went the other way. She hurried along and walked into a venue where many people were already sitting.
She sat beside him and saw the file on the table. It was a bid book for
some land.
Then she remembered that Riley had mentioned to her that he was going to invest in real estate, and it was this piece of land he was going after
Riley took the project seriously and invested a lot of money in it.
She was short of 8 million dollars, and yet she didn’t ask Riley for help, because she knew he was going through a tough time.
She was confused. Why did Quincy take her here?
She lowered her voice. “What do you want to do?”
“Watch a show.”
His response was concise, yet it frightened her
Renee lowered her posture and said, “Mr. Patel, if you have any grudges, take them out on me. Don’t implicate those close to me.
Quincy leaned back in his chair, looking relaxed, as if he hadn’t heard
her
Renee was nothing but anxious. She took out her phone and tried to call Riley, but no one answered.
Meanwhile, Quincy’s assistant delivered a thick stack of bids.

288 Vouchers
Renee was utterly frightened. “Such bids are nothing for Quinjoy Group. You don’t have to be this ruthless.”
With Quinjoy Group’s participation, no other firms would stand a chance.
In terms of strength or financial resources, Quinjoy Group crushed all the bidders present.
Riley had no chance of winning at all.
Quincy looked down and said, “You can’t bear to see this happening to him?”
Renee patiently pleaded in a low voice, “Mr. Patel, please. I am begging you. Don’t bid.”
Riley put all his energy into the project.
She didn’t want his efforts going to waste because of her.
People like them who were with nothing at the beginning had tough lives. Every effort must be made with all their might.
Yet those who were born in the purple such as Quincy wouldn’t get it.
“Beg me?”
Quincy chuckled and leaned close to her ear. “With what?”
