CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery

Chapter 1669

"Don't say such things! You're not going to die!" Nina held back her tears, fearing that once they started, she wouldn't be able to stop.

Pharaoh smiled calmly. "Life and death are natural parts of the world. Everyone has to face it eventually. But I've been lucky. I found you, reunited with you, got to be part of your life, and even earned your forgiveness. I've already lived a fulfilled life. "All right, let's eat. No more heavy talk." Pharaoh seemed wary of his own emotions, not wanting his words to bring him to tears.

"Okay," Nina agreed, swallowing her emotions and putting on a brave face. She made sure the two children stayed close to Pharaoh, their laughter a comforting distraction.

The next day around noon, Micah and Freya arrived. Seeing them, Pharaoh immediately guessed they had come at Nina's urging.

"You both came? The Yaren Tribe is so busy right now, especially during this critical development phase. Didn't I tell you to focus on the important work first?" Pharaoh said with a slight frown.

Micah stepped forward, noticing Pharaoh's pale complexion but choosing not to comment on it. Instead, he replied with a lighthearted smile, "I know, but we missed you and Nina. Besides, Freya still wants to have a child. The medical facilities here in Birkham are much better. And let's not forget, you're here, too."

His cheerful tone lifted the mood. Pharaoh chuckled. "At my age, I can barely hold a scalpel anymore. But Wilfred is a fine doctor. If you're serious about having a child, talk to him."

"Of course," Micah replied, using the suggestion as a way to steer the conversation away from Pharaoh's health.

Despite the lighthearted exchanges, everyone in the room knew the truth. Pharaoh still had the strength to eat, sleep, and care for the children, but the signs of his decline were evident.

The following day, Pharaoh insisted on accompanying Micah, Freya, and Nina to Wilfred's hospital. Wilfred, though extremely busy, was caught off guard by their unexpected arrival, especially with Pharaoh in tow.

"You all came together today?" Wilfred asked, setting aside his work immediately.

Pharaoh gave him a meaningful glance. "Freya wants to have a child, but I'm not in the position to assist anymore."

Understanding the implication,

Wilfred realized they were considering in-vitro fertilization. While not his specialty, Wilfred responded thoughtfully, "Pharaoh," that's not really my area of expertise. However, I can recommend some excellent specialists at our hospital. Rest assured, they're among the

best in their field."

"Then please start with a health assessment," Pharaoh said. "We need to ensure Freya's ready for this."

Pharaoh knew how much Freya

wanted to give Micah a child. While Micah appeared wholly focused on his work Pharaoh was certain his son quietly longed for a family. He had been tough on Micah growing up, but he understood his son's deeper desires.

Besides, with Micah and Freya's relationship thriving, a child could only strengthen their bond.

"Got it," Wilfred said, moving swiftly to arrange Freya's health check.

The results came back quickly,

showing that Freya was in excellent

health-a testament to her

disciplined lifestyle and training. One of the specialists even advised against IVF, saying, "Your body is perfectly prepared for natural conception. There's no need to pursue IVF unless absolutely

necessary."

Freya, however, remained firm. "I've experienced a miscarriage before, and I don't want to risk waiting too long. I'd prefer to move forward with IVF and take control of the situation."

Her determination was evident, and she was prepared to endure any challenges, even the physical pain of egg retrieval, to achieve her dream of starting a family.
