Chapter 19
Chapter 19
Finley saw light suddenly.
That was the goal of Bryan!
Bryan acknowledged Finley as his wife to arouse the hostility from the servants.
"I thought you were a private doctor of Mr. Turner. It is a lie! I was a fool to worry about you and take care of you," Kate muttered.
She felt that Finley had betrayed her.
Since Finley was Mrs. Turner, Kate didn't dare to scold her. Kate left with a poker face.
The others said with fake respect, "Mrs. Turner, let us know if you need anything. We will get back to our positions now."
"Okay." Finley nodded.
The servants left the living room and had a meeting in the courtyard.
"No way! This ugly woman is actually the wife of Mr. Turner! What is so good about her?"
"Isn't f
the daughter of the butcher, who sells pork in the wet market, more beautiful than her?" "Isn't Mr. Turner a gay? Did he do so to fool Mr. Alton Turner?"
"I think so!"
"If so, we don't need to dread that ugly woman. Mr. Turner doesn't care about her anyway!"
"Okay..."
Soon, all Finley's stuff was packed up and sent to a guest room on the ground floor.
This guest room was simple and rough, no better than the dormitory of those servants.
Finley didn't bother to find out who had made such an arrangement.
Finley wanted a good rest now. She had a new task tomorrow.
After a shower, Finley lay on the cold bed and fell asleep soon..
This was a bedroom on the third floor.
Bryan in a bathrobe leaned against a French window with a goblet in his hand elegantly.
It was past 12 o'clock in the evening.
Bryan lowered his head, glanced at the goblet in his hand, and then squinted at the doorway. He was waiting for Finley.
Finley shouldn't miss the opportunity tonight since she was anxious to bear Bryan's child.
Bryan had waited for one hour, but Finley didn't appear yet.
Did Finley play hard to get again?
Bryan lost his patience. He opened the door and called the maid on duty over. "Where's Finley?"
"Mr. Turner, Mrs. Turner went to bed early."
Finley was asleep?
Bryan turned livid.
Bryan had been waiting for a woman, who was fast asleep now!
"Mr., Mr. Turner?" The maid looked at Bryan discreetly. "Are you all right?"
With a cold face, Bryan shut the door behind him without saying a word.
Finley was busy bullying Bryan in her dream, and a sweet smile appeared on her face. Finley had a good sleep.
Early in the morning, Finley got up and walked out of her room, feeling refreshed.
In the dining room, Bryan, in a well-cut suit, had breakfast by the table elegantly. There was a cold aura around Bryan, and nobody dared to look him in the eyes. Finley stretched herself and walked over carelessly. "Morning, honey."
Bryan did not answer, and his face darkened a little.
Finley ignored the sullen expression of Bryan, walked around the table, and stopped behind him. There was food in front of Bryan only.
There were toasts, sandwiches, and a glass of milk.
Finley sat next to Bryan, took that glass of milk, and took a slug of it. Then, she put down the glass and licked the milk around her lips. "Well, yummy!"
Gasps of horror echoed in the dining room. The servants looked at Finley with pity as they did to a dying man.
This rude, big-mouthed, and ugly woman drank milk of Bryan! She must be tired of living.
Didn't she know Bryan's mysophobia and hatred toward women?
Bryan sharply stared at the hand of Finley, who was reaching for a sandwich, and said in an emotionless voice, "Does it taste good?"
"Yes," Finley said in a muffled voice because of the sandwich in her mouth.
"Sorry that I can't keep you company now. I have something at hand," Finley said as she got up with a sandwich, "Tell the cook to bring you some food if you are not full yet." "Stop!" Bryan became sullen.
Finley stopped and looked at Bryan with confusion. "What's wrong?"
Bryan got up and slowly approached Finley with a cold and dangerous light in his eyes.
Finley looked at Bryan with wide-open eyes and had a bad feeling.
She turned around to flee, but Bryan grabbed her wrist and pinned her against the wall.
