(Devil's Marriage Trap) Ace & Nina - Chapter 60 - Limited to him...!!!
His eyes fell on the person behind Mike, and the words didn’t dare to leave his tongue.
Mike also sensed his brother's sudden changes of expression, turned his head, and saw Nina standing just behind him with a complicated expression.
“Miss Xiver, do you need something?” Mike asked. Since she had come to his brother's door, she had something to say: Should he stay or be cut off from there? Before he could decide, his brother looked at him with fiery eyes.
"Go downstairs and see if Noah is ready.” Ace knew his overthinking brother would start his foolish brain again and overthink nonsense.
But it didn’t matter, since he would do it, anyway.
Mike slipped away; Nina awkwardly looked at her toes and didn't dare to look straight at him because she felt too afraid to even be in his presence.
Ace patiently waited for her to say whatever she came to say; Nina gathered her courage and raised her head; she fisted both her hands and finally spoke up,
“Mr. Welsh, I want to come along with Noah; I don't want to leave my son alone.”
Both of them were silent after her sudden outburst; Ace looked surprised, while Nina looked nervous and waited for his answer.
“Miss Xiver, doesn't you trust me?” This was the first thought that came into Ace's mind; after what he learned, he knew he was a stain of terror in her mind.
Nina again lowered her head, thinking he was getting angry because he felt she couldn't trust him and saying this.
“No.” Then she heard his answer, which stunned her. She raised her head again and looked at him with a frown between her brows.
“What do you mean you can?” Weirdly, Nina sounded a little angry at his rejection.
“Miss Xiver, since I'm taking our son with me, then it means I can protect our son, and to assure you, I won't let even a stretch come to our son.” Unlike usual, Ace's eyes were still calm, and he sounded so gentle that even Nina was left speechless.
But when he said our son, Nina's heart skipped a beat. They always talked about my son, but this was the first time Ace said our son, which felt strange to her. Not in the wrong way, but still, she was not used to it.
“Mr. Welsh, it's not that I don't believe you, but in Noah's matter, because all my beliefs and patience are limited only to him,
I know my son is going somewhere where he can be in danger. I can't even trust myself. It's not about whether I believe or not.” Nina tried to sound calm, but only she knew how much courage she needed.
“If the person were your brother, would you still say this?” Ace asked something unexpected, as if an unfamiliar emotion had pushed him to say this.
Nina's eyes opened wide when he asked this question, but no words came out of her mouth because she knew the answer wouldn't be pleasant to this man, her brother. She would blindly let Noah go anywhere her brother wanted to take him because even her brother would take him to hell.
She knows, no, she believes for the sake of Noah, her brother would turn hell into heaven, but in Ace, she doesn't know if she believes him or not.
She knows Noah is his son, but she might never believe in another man like her brother because they broke her in every worst possible way, both Andrew and him, even if he did nothing to her if he hadn't spent the night with her when she was unconscious, she wouldn't be so broken.
But then, remembering Noah's existence, she couldn't hate or forgive this man.
Ace stared at her face carefully, and the answer was clear. He glanced at the woman coldly again. He knew she had no reason to believe him, but her answer somehow affected him, and suddenly, his mood turned sour.
“Miss Xiver, Noah is also my only son; if I have to sacrifice the world for him, I will do it, so you don’t need to worry; now you go on your way; I need to get ready.” Without giving her a chance, he shut the door on her face.
Nina was speechless. She wanted to talk to him peacefully, but it seemed this man had no sense of a gentleman; otherwise, he wouldn't act so rudely with her.
But the tension in her head was still going on. Then, an idea came to her, so she turned back and left. Ace, who stood near the door, heard her footsteps and gritted his teeth in anger. The girl, but when he remembered the file, he calmed down. She was so afraid of the men and crowd, yet she dared to come and offer to accompany them.
He had to admit she was brave enough to do this, but he was not in the mood. His mind and heart were in a mess, but for now, he needed to deal with his vicious father so that he wouldn't mess with him again. After half an hour, Ace appeared downstairs while a few men were waiting for him. Adam looked furious since he couldn't come along with Noah. That ba*tard Damian Welsh has crazy rules. No one outside the M country can enter Welsh’s mansion, and only a few people he knows are invited.
Only Mike and Theo could come along.
Ace looked at Noah; his son was as handsome as him, which made him a little proud.
“Son, come.” Ace carried Noah with one hand, which was usually difficult for anyone since Noah was a chunky toddler, but Ace doing it with one hand impressed everyone.
Noah clung to Ace’s neck; anyone could tell they were father and son without any DNA tests; both looked like identical twins.
Noah waved his hand toward his uncle. “Uncle, Bye-bye.”
As they were about to leave the villa, a voice stopped them from behind. “One minute...........
