Chapter 15 Buy You A Diamond Ring
II followed his thoughts and recalled it for a moment. Then, I suddenly smiled happily. Christopher was my first love. Our first date was just like a date between ordinary people, which was just about eating, shopping, and watching a film that I didn't even remember what it was.
"It's probably just for eating, shopping, and watching movies!" I said flatly.
Vincent looked back at me speechlessly and knew that I was making a careless answer. So he deliberately teased me and asked. "Didn't you sleep together at night??"
His words made me blush immediately. "We are not as mean as you are!"
Vincent chuckled, but he didn't take it seriously. The car continued to drive, and then he took me to the shopping mall.
I just promised to go shopping with him, but I didn't want to spend his money. So I wandered around and put the card he gave me back in his hand.
He was surprised that he would give the money back to him, so he looked down at the card and asked in a faint tone."Haven't you been short of money recently?"
"I'm short of money, but I won't take other people's money for nothing!"
As I spoke, I walked forward, not giving him the chance to entangle with me. Maybe Vincent was also a little embarrassed. When he came up again, he did not force me to take the card. Instead, he suddenly pulled my hand and went straight to the jewellery shop on the second floor.
He stopped in front of the largest jewelry store. The sales thought that we were a couple, so she quickly greeted us warmly and said. "Sir, do you want to buy a ring for this miss?"
Vincent calmly lowered his head and looked at the diamond wedding ring on my ring finger. He said to me with a mocking tone. "Looks like Christopher couldn't bear to spend money on you. Look at your ring, doesn't even have a diamond!"
I withdrew my fingers awkwardly and defended for Christopher. "Christopher's family has not been doing too well in their business in the past few years, and since we have also eloped to get our marriage certificate, so..."
"So he bought you a silver ring to fool you, right?" Vincent sneered and glanced at my embarrassed face. He also reminded me. "No matter how poor a man is, he shouldn't scheme on this matter, right? If he didnt't buy you a diamond, at least you should buy a platinum one?"
"Enough!" Hearing Vincent's words, I was so embarrassed that I glared at him and muttered.
Where did he get such a sense of superiority from? Wasn't it just that his family was rich? But he was very dissolute and had slept with countless women.. In terms of capablities, he didn't even deserve to pull shoes for Christopher.
The sales next to me looked at them with embarrassment. She was probably guessing in her mind the relationship between Vincent and me.
Vincent saw that I was going to be annoyed again, he quickly smiled apologetically and surrendered. "Okay, I'll stop. To express my apology. I'll buy you a diamond ring, okay?"
My face turned green on the spot. Did this guy know what wedding rings mean? Can rings be given away casually?
"I already have a wedding ring! Thank you!" I raised my hand and waved it in front of him as if I had sworn an oath. Although the ring was indeed a bit shabby, it was still proof of Christopher's relationship with me. There was nothing that couldn't be seen!
Not only did I want it to be shown to other people, but I wanted it to be shown to Vincent and shine his alloyed dog eye to dazzle!"
Vincent smiled awkwardly, but turned around and said to the sales who was still guessing the relationship of us in a daze, "Please give me this!"
As he spoke, he pointed to the most special place on the counter. The diamonds on it were four-carat heavy.
Probably, it was rare to see such a diamond ring tried on by others, so when the sales heard this, he immediately took it out and showed it to Vincent.
Vincent took the diamond ring and grabbed my right hand. He didn't give me a chance to refuse and decisively put it on.
"Well, this one looks much more pleasing to the eye than your shabby ring!"
