Broken 'N' Loved

Alpha Michael POV

It has been almost two days since we took out Alpha Jack. Kelly is healing fast with her wolf now fully matured. Christy and Amy are trying to put a last-minute party together for Kelly since her birthday was spent in bed healing her broken leg. She told them not to fuss over it, that it is just another day but of course they won't take no for an answer. Ryan and Darrick have been helping around the pack house as well, they are trying to stay close to Kelly just in case she needs something, and I am not around.

I am not too far from her usually. She has been staying in our room on bed rest for her leg to heal faster, which she hated because she was away from everyone. We have pushed off our mating and marking till she is fulling healed. The doctor is supposed to be coming up soon to see if she can start getting up and walking, she is excited to be able to move again. As I am sitting in my office working on some paperwork, I hear a knock coming from the door, "Come In" the door opens to Beta Nick and the Doctor. I stand and walk over to them, "Ready to see the Luna to be." The Doctor bows his head in respected, "Yes, Alpha."

I smile at him, "Good, because she is driving me nuts. She has been begging to get out of the room since you put her there." Both of them laugh, then you hear Kelly scream down the hall, "I heard that" I shake my head with a smile and head to the bedroom. When I open the door, she is already in the sitting position. I look at with a raised eyebrow, "You were supposed to wait for me to sit up, Kelly." She rolls her eyes at me, "I had a broken leg, Michael. I can move without help. The only thing the Doc said that I could not do is to get out of bed. Which I did not." I shake my head at her look back at the Doctor, "She is all yours, Doc." He nods his head and moves over to Kelly. He feels her leg, which I have to swallow a growl at due to another male touching her, he asks her a couple questions and then, "Ok Luna, everything looks good. You can get out of bed. You may be a little weak at first due to the fact that you have been in bed, but that should only last a little bit. Please, do take it easy for a couple of days. Make sure you shift to Snow every once in a while, to be able to stretch the leg properly." She nods her head and says ok.

They shake hands, I look at the Doctor, "Thanks Doc." He smiles at me, "No problem, Alpha." He leaves and when I look over to Kelly, she is already trying to stand, I run over to her to help. She loses her balance for a little bit, but it comes back, and she is walking around the room, she looks over to me, "Want to go for a run, Michael?" I smile, "Sure, let's go." She starts to fast walk out of the Alpha chamber. I laugh at her and Beta Nick slaps my shoulder, "Welcome to the life of having a mate, Michael. She will the pain in your ass, but it is all worth it." I agree with him, "I will be back in a few hours link me if you need anything." He nods his head and I head out to catch up to my mate. When I finally catch up to her, she is talking to Ryan, Darrick, Christy, and Amy. I walk up to them, "Well if you guys do not mind, I would like to Kelly on a run." They all smile at me and nod, Kelly smiles and runs out the door, "Catch me, if you can" Nyx purrs in my head, "Does she not know that we love a good chase." I laugh and run after her.

When I get outside, she is already shifted into Snow, she is rolling around in the grass. I shift into my wolf, by the time I am done, she is up and getting ready to run from me. I play bark at her and she does the same, she takes off into the woods. I follow close behind her, but she is able to go under trees and branches where I have to jump over of go around do to our big body. We do this for hours till we come to one of the clearing on our territory. She lays down to catch her breath. I lay down right beside her, she lays her head on my paws, and I lay my head on her shoulders. At that moment, all I could think was that I was the happiest wolf alive and I would not change this moment. She is my everything and I just met her two weeks ago.
