Chapter 31 Again
Gavin had been taking care of all things at hospital for a few days. I had mentioned using my own money, and he had not objected. Gavin, for some reason, has softened his ways.
I've also figured out my relationship with Gavin. He knew so many of my secrets, he's my friend anyway. There's nothing wrong to accept care by friends.
We had a good time together these days, and his care for me became more intimate. Of course I had not forgotten what he had once said. But I could not believe it, nor would I believe it. I think it's good as it was now. I was not greedy and didn't dare to dream of anything too extravagant.
Gavin was getting more random in front of me. Although he was not a reserved person in the first place, now he was very different from before.
Gavin was with me. He often bought some non-practical care products, saying that my health was not good and needed some supplement. I laughed at him and said. "You bought them again, didn't you? I dare not eat."
Gavin rolled his eyes at me in disdain and said. "I asked Janet about this. I'm not a fool."
I grinned and said. "But why do I feel that you are like a fool now, standing around me and doing nothing all day long."
"Does Darcey have a conscience?" Gavin said discontentedly. "I took care of you so well. I bought you food and drink, but in the end, I gave you such an ungrateful evaluation!"
"Then I'll give you money. That's easy."
"Well, do you think I'm short of money?" Gavin became a bossy president again and looked down at me. "However, I never make a loss. I've spent so much time, effort for you, and.... You have to pay me back, right?"
"What?" I asked, feigning ignorance.
Gavin was a little angry. He was unwilling to say what it was. I was really a little curious.
"Tell me what it is!"
"That true heart of mine!" Gavin held my shoulder and looked straight into my eyes. "I've given you my true hearts. What about you? Are you going to give me a reply?"
Gavin's eyes were like a bottomless pool, sucking me deeply into his eyes. Just when I was about to be confused by him, someone suddenly pushed the door open and came in. I was so scared that I pushed Gavin away. Fortunately, there was a sofa behind him, so we didn't turn out to be akward.
Gavin pretended to be calm and sat cross-legged on the sofa. It was the nurse who came in yesterday. She held back her laughter and asked, "It seems that I've came at the wrong time. Shall I come back later?"
Gavin got up and walked out, saying, "No. I'll buy some food. You can continue."
After he left, the nurse smiled even more brightly. Blushed, I smiled at her. This stupid Gavin. It's just after dinner time. How could he buy food!
Nurse's personality was straightforward. The things between Gavin and me soon became a joke between them. Most of the time, they said that we treated each outher like first love. Gavin looked cruel and merciless, but in fact, he was very lovely.
Hearing this description, I couldn't help but shudder. I didn't expect to hear someone describe Gavin like this in my lifetime. I've lived so long that I haven't seen it.
