Chapter 805
Chapter 805
Seeing this, the bodyguard raised his leg, trying to kick the gun out of Adrian’s hand.
Adrian seemed to know what they wanted to do. With a turn of his wrist, he passed the tranquilizer gun
from his right hand to his left.
When Simon saw what had happened, he immediately ordered, “Get them!”
At his order, bodyguards swarmed toward them. However, a few bodyguards behind fell down to the
ground, immediately attracting Simon’s attention.
All of a sudden, Simon saw several people with guns showing up out of nowhere. They were glancing in
their direction.
“This is bad. They have outside help.” Simon took out his walkie-talkie.
“We’re at the entrance of the bride’s dressing room. Everyone, get over here to assist us right away.”
Caroline wasn’t afraid to see them wield guns. Instead, she struggled even harder against the bodyguards’
grip.
Then, she actually broke free from their grasp. She didn’t know whether it was because the sudden
change in events had caught those bodyguards off guard or because she had become stronger.
After breaking free from them, Caroline didn’t even dare to catch her breath.
She was about to run away, but Adrian grabbed her wrist.
“Let’s go!”
At this moment, Caroline dared not delay and followed Adrian. She dodged the hail of bullets and headed
toward the door.
After they went down the stairs, they were about to reach the door, but the large door slammed shut. The lights turned off,
plunging everything into darkness.
Caroline instantly felt suffocation welling up in her chest. She gripped the railing in fear.
With the flick of a switch, a light appeared in the darkness.
Under the faint lights, Caroline saw Eddy standing at the door. Behind him was a large crowd of people.
Caroline shivered at the sight.
“So you still want to leave, Caroline.” Eddy looked straight at Caroline.

“I just didn’t expect that the person who would take you away would be him and not my second uncle.”
Caroline frowned at his words, feeling the pain in her head return. It was like countless needles were
jabbing her brain.
“Eddy, I’m sorry. I can’t marry you.”
Caroline looked down at the ground and said miserably, “I don’t know why, but there’s a voice in my head
that keeps telling me that I can’t marry you.”
Eddy’s expression became gloomy. “The voice in your head? Hah! But just a year ago, you wouldn’t marry
anyone but me!”
“You’re right. I did want to marry you before, but-”
“Why?” Eddy loudly interrupted her.
“How the hell am I inferior to him? Both of us have money and power! He’s handsome, but I’m not bad-
looking either! Why, Caroline? Just tell me why!”
Eddy walked toward Caroline step by step.
Even though it was a carpeted floor, Caroline still heard his shoes stepping on the ground, and her body
trembled.
As Eddy got closer and closer, she shook even more.
Noticing this, Adrian stepped in front of Caroline, stopping Eddy, who was getting closer. “I’ll answer that
question instead.”
Eddy’s vicious gaze landed on Adrian. “Get the hell out of the way. You don’t have the right to talk to me.”
Adrian wasn’t bothered by his intimidation in the slightest.
“Don’t you want to know the answer to your question? It’s very simple. Kirk loves Caroline wholeheartedly. He would even work
with his rival in love for her sake. But what about you?”
Caroline’s head hurt even more at the mention of Kirk’s name.
She held her head and added pressure with all her strength, but the pain still spread throughout her body.
However, neither of the men noticed the change in her behavior.
“How did you treat Caroline when she wanted to be yours? You only came to the realization after she
stopped loving you.
“Ha! Let me tell you something. It’s too late for you to acknowledge your love for her.”
