Chapter 82
Frederick did not know what to say when she was clingy. She would cling to him no matter what. It was still early, yet he was already overwhelmed with emotions! She must be a snake! She was soft and cool, and she was even hugging him. But it was so comfortable!
Looking at her arms on his body, Frederick could not specify who he was mad at!
Alicia also did not understand why it turned out that way. She slowly got away and bit her lower lip apologetically before retreating half a meter away. "Sorry, I didn't mean it!"
She was fiercely scolded so early in the morning. She felt like a miserable little girl. She secretly glanced at him from time to time, but she did not dare to make a sound or move. Obviously, she had not fully woken up yet. Seeing her in such a dazed condition, Frederick couldn't control his temper.
"You brainless thing! How can you still be in the mood to sleep?"
Suddenly, he lifted the quilt and strode towards the bathroom. His movements were swift. Obviously, he was in 'that' mood. Alicia watched the quilt fall from the bed. At this time, the sound of running water could be heard. She was in a daze for two seconds but instantly woke up.
Then, she slapped her left hand with her right hand, then did the same to the right with her left hand.
"How dare you disobey me! I messed up again..."
Alicia grabbed her hair. She had already concluded that her bright weekend was going to be miserable!
Then, she got up, picked up the quilt, and dusted it. After Frederick cleaned himself, she quickly went to clean herself for fear of being caught by him again. She did not put on makeup. The moment he turned around, she followed him.
They walked down the stairs one after another, but Alicia did not dare to stand too close to him. Ever since they got out of the bedroom, Frederick's face had obviously calmed down a lot. He did not walk too fast either.
As soon as they reached downstairs, he inadvertently glanced and saw Penny coming out of the kitchen. Hallie's voice could be heard coming from the dining room.
Frederick and Alicia had gotten up very early this morning, but they did not expect the other two to be earlier than them.
What a coincidence!
Frederick suddenly thought of how Carson mentioned the usage of birth control pills, and his eyes darkened slightly.
Seeing Frederick suddenly stopped, Alicia thought that she was too close to him and that it made him unhappy. She took two small steps backwards to keep a distance from him. Frederick came back to his senses when he heard the shuffling sound. He looked at her from the corner of his eyes. He was extremely exasperated. He turned around.
He said with a low voice, "What are you doing? Do you want Grandma to scold me?" Was she afraid that the others would not notice that they had quarreled? After being stunned for two seconds, Alicia understood what he meant. She quickly moved two steps forward, held him with her hand, and lowered her head. "I didn't mean that!" she said.
He was sometimes cold and sometimes passionate towards her. He would constantly change his actions. How could she know what he was thinking?
Frederick turned around and continued to move forward. The two of them also entered the dining room. Their eyes glanced around the room, then they took the initiative to speak. "Good morning, Grandma!"
After greeting Mrs. Clements, Alicia also greeted Penny before sitting down, "Good morning, Aunt!"
"Morning!"
Mrs. Clements glanced at Frederick with slight dissatisfaction as she drank some water. She remarked, "You are so impolite!"
At this time, Mr. Clements entered with Mason. They greeted everyone one by one. Then, Mr. Clements sat down. He was obviously in a good mood.
"It's a good day today! It's rare for you to get up so early! I have invited your uncle's family to play tennis at 9 o'clock. We will then go for a swim in the afternoon and have a barbecue at night. You can join us!" Mr. Clements said.
He was talking to Frederick and Alicia. Alicia had no objections, but she could not make the decision. She smiled and did not say anything.
Frederick took a piece of bread. He did not even raise his eyes as he replied, "I have a club event today!"
There was a sense of sadness on Mr. Clements' face. He then looked at Alicia and asked, "What about you, Alicia?"
She did not expect him to ask for her opinion. Suddenly, she did not know how to answer. It did not seem appropriate for her to stay, but if she did not stay, it would seem like she was disrespecting the elders. After all, this was her first time being invited!
Fortunately, at this time, Mrs. Clements suddenly replied on her behalf.
"Of course Alicia will be with Frederick! It's just a club activity, right? Can't you bring your family members along on weekends? Alicia can use this chance to know more about the club. Introduce her around too. No one should break the rules of the Clements family! Come for the barbecue tonight!"
It was obvious that there was a hidden meaning in Mrs. Clements' words. It was like a tone of command. Frederick understood immediately. Those words were aimed at him and that Mrs.
Clements was biased towards Alicia!
Although he was a little upset, he still nodded. "Okay, let's go together!"
At this time, the servant served the drinks. There was juice, milk, and coffee. Mrs. Clements would usually eat oatmeals in the morning, and the men either drank coffee or juice. Hence, there were only two cups of milk prepared.
After everyone took their drinks, Alicia took the milk. After all, she had been here several times. The kitchen staff had a rough idea of her eating habits and preferences.
She glanced at the table and found that it was a casual breakfast. Everyone could take whatever they want. She liked all kinds of milk, and she liked to add sugar to it too. She had done this several times, and Frederick had noticed it. The attentive people there had also noticed it too.
Hallie and her mother both took the juices. Frederick did not know whether it was his imagination, but he felt that Penny eyed Hallie when she was taking the juice. Anyway, Frederick took it all to heart. Frederick and Alicia did not frequently come back here, and they had limited time with the others. They did not have much time to have meals together, and they only consumed a certain amount of food. Frederick's instinct told him that Hallie and Penny would tamper the milk instead.
Alicia liked drinking milk very much because its white color was pleasing to the eye.
As soon as she picked up the cup, Frederick's fork hit the table with a snap. "Are you still a child? You have the smell of milk all over you!"
He had unexpectedly scolded her, and Alicia was shocked. Everyone looked at him in surprise.
Mrs. Clements frowned instantly and said, "Frederick, what are you doing? Is Ally provoking you just by drinking milk? You are getting bolder and bolder!"
The atmosphere was a little awkward. Being so despised by him, Alicia suddenly began to doubt if she had the stench of milk all over her by drinking too much milk! After all, newborn babies were indeed like this!
Moreover, she remembered that when she was in school, she went to the hot springs with Victoria once. Victoria held her and told her that she had a sweet milky smell on her. It was very pleasant and it made people want to take a bite.
Perhaps he was too picky, and that he could smell something special from her?
Being pointed out in public, Alicia still felt embarrassed and unhappy in her heart. However, she still placed the cup of milk back.
"I'm a little full! I really can't drink anymore. I'll just drink some... water!" she said.
She wanted to say juice', but she was afraid that after she said it, he would despise her again. Alicia spoke in a low voice and she looked so pitiful. Mrs. Clements gave Frederick an unhappy look, but she said
no more.
On the opposite side of the table, Penny and Hallie's hands were fiercely pinching their own thighs under the tablecloth.
