Chapter 1205
"Actually, if you want..."
Despite her rage, Lauren leaned closer to him with a smile, aiming at his lips. Hooking her arm around his neck, she went to unfasten the first button of his shirt, snaking her way in, actively responding to him. Coming back to his senses, Willy grabbed her hand, but his eyes fell on the beautiful view of her front. Plus turned on by her lithe body, his expression turned grim, but mad at himself or at her, he did not know. "How many men have you been on top of?"
Shoving her away, he stormed out of the room.
Slam!
Lauren jerked at the sound of the door slamming shut. Quickly fixing her shirt, she slumped against the wall, raising her head a little with closed eyes, letting out a long breath.
Thank heavens!
He was the one who started it!
Pretended to be a gentleman in front of her? Huh!
Was he throwing a fit again? Why did it suddenly seem like he didn't want to play the game anymore? Had remembering her past self got him changing his mind, or had her face had him feeling guilty? It was most likely the latter, wasn't it?
"You're already irritated, Bowels? It's only the beginning! This time, I'll have you know what it feels like to have your feelings toyed with!" "Huh..."
With a sneer, Lauren's hand moved unconsciously to her back, pressing on her birthmark.
"Not even in your dreams will you think the helpless orphan tricked to imprisonment is actually the runaway daughter of the Luther family, won't you? How would you know that rose was to cover up the irremovable birthmark..."
She used to be so ashamed of the mark, unwilling to spare even a glance, dying to have it removed even if she had to lose a chunk of flesh for it. But after a visit to the doctors, she was told the birthmark grew from deep within her. It would still stay, the color only fading slightly, even if she removed it with laser surgery. Plus, it wasn't a prominent spot, so she was advised to cover it up instead of having it removed!
Humans sure were fortune's fools. Who would've thought she had only been walking around in circles, returning to where she started.
Strange though, all the members of the Luther family had a horizontal S-shaped birthmark on them, some red, others black, and on any part of their bodies. Some were born with it while only appearing when others reached five or six. But so far, it seemed that all descendants of the Luther family had it. The birthmark was like a gift from the heavens, so it became something of a sigil to their family. The ancestors took pride in it and even thought it symbolized luck. So all their family businesses had this mark on their logos, and it had also become an exclusive mark of the Luther family.
She had never seen others' but once on Elijah's; it was on his left bicep, black, bigger, and more distinct than hers. He tattooed a dragon on that arm with the birthmark as one of its whiskers, and it looked seamlessly fitting to the rest of the tattoo. Every time he came back from a workout or was angry, that black birthmark looked as though it was alive, strangely terrifying. She could remember it clearly to this day.
After composing herself, she walked out of the private room.
Right as she opened the door, a stalwart black figure came into her sight, startling her, taking a step back. He hadn't left?
Willy was leaning against the corridor wall, looking like Janus, the god of doorways, as he held a lit cigarette in his hand. Not far from them stood a couple of servers.
And it clicked with Lauren. So that was why no servers had come in to clear the table...
Huh, who would've thought he was quite thoughtful!
However, her heart tightened the next second. He hadn't heard anything she said, had he?
Looking over at him with a probing gaze, she was met with a contemptuous look. Those eyes were no different from looking at a sewer rat or a cockroach!
Standing straight, he stubbed out his cigarette and headed toward the stairs.
Right! What was there to worry about? The soundproofing in the private room must've been impeccable if he even dared to act so impudently toward her! What was more, there was music playing in the corridor!
Lauren fixed her breathing as she tucked her hair. However, just as she took a breather, a firey remark lunged at her.
"What are you still standing there for? Are you planning to sleep here?"
Looking up, she saw him standing by the stairs, looking livid with rage, and his tone was filled with contemptuous anger.
Not wanting to make a fool of herself, she rummaged her handbag and followed after him.
They went out one after the other like strangers, both looking awful. Finally having a breath of fresh air, Willy gave her a side-eye glance and asked coldly. "Where do you live?"
That was when she realized he had been waiting for her; such thoughtfulness was to send her home. She also replied indifferently.
"Don't worry about it, Master Bowles!"
Just then, a black BMW arrived at her side. A young man came down and said, "Miss!"
With that, Willy walked straight to the parking lot on the other side.
He gave her the attitude again!
Though surprised, Lauren gnashed her teeth livid. He hadn't wanted to stay, had he?! Had he only
reluctantly stayed because he was only afraid she'd die in an accident on her way home? FindNovel
No wonder he pulled the long face! F*cking hell!
Lauren jumped into the car with a scowl, and the black BMW drove off.
Meanwhile, after getting into his car, Willy welted his head irritatedly. "What's wrong with you?"
Hadn't he decided to get along and get to know her? Why had he blown a fuse again?! He couldn't believe he screwed up their first rendezvous!
Stomping the floorboard, he was filled with nothing but regret. Tattoos were removable, and birthmarks could be plastered on! What if she had done it intentionally?
What the f*ck was up with his brain!?
"Is it because I miss you so much, Laurie?" If she hadn't appeared, he probably could've still endured. But whenever he saw that face now, he felt as though he was going mad!
"Why do I still think it's you even when she's nothing like you?"
Willy slowly closed his eyes as he mumbled. This Tevye was a social butterfly, absolutely nothing like his Laurie! So, where in the world went wrong?
Just then, his chauffeur, who had been wandering aside, ran back over. "I'm sorry for being late, young master!"
"Just drive!"
