Auctioned to The Pack: Chapter 8
I knew exactly who I wanted.
This was the last place I expected the cute omega doctor to be. My soul lifted, and every look we shared made my dick dance.
“It’s her,” whispered Darius beside me.
I knew she affected him the same way by the way he looked at her awestruck.
“What the fuck is she doing here?” I said out loud. She looked away from me, and I caught her slight headshake. Did she not want me? Why was she evading me?
“No idea.”
We had been talking about this omega ever since we had both seen her at the ball. I was glad Darius saw her for himself. He understood the allure that I was talking about. I couldn’t stop talking about her until Silus was fed up with me.
She looked absolutely splendid standing up on that stage. Who the fuck would put her up for auction? She wasn’t ugly in any way, and she was an accomplished omega. I didn’t understand.
But I knew one thing.
There was no way in hell I’d let another alpha purchase her. She was going to be mine. I was going to fight tooth and nail for that girl.
She was clearly scared, and her eyes would dart nervously toward me every once in a while. She was nowhere close to the funny, spicy girl I had met yesterday with the quick wit. Her demeanor was off today. Like she had reached a breaking point in her life. I vowed to myself that I would do everything in my power to learn everything about her. And to make her happy.
“Up next. Keera!” shouted the auctioneer, walking over to her on stage. He waved his hat towards her, bringing attention to her ample breasts. “The bidding starts!”
“One thousand!” someone called out.
“Three thousand!” said another.
“Six thousand!” I roared. But it didn’t end there. It was fierce, and the alphas kept making the bids higher and higher until I shouted, “twenty-five thousand!”
Everyone gasped, and the auctioneer looked around to see if anyone else had a counteroffer.
“Going once! Going twice! Sold to the Lustfur Pack!” said the auctioneer, untying the chains around Keera’s ankles. “That was the biggest sale in five years; I have to say.”
Yes, she was mine now, and under the law there was no way I would lose her this time.
