Chapter 20
(Her)
I’m in the training ground, we went running with Alec and Collin. Harper is with her grandparents. As Connor, they didn’t take good the fact he will be leaving soon. They tried to patch their relation with him. They are afraid he will never come back. Connor is avoiding him. I think it’s too painful for him and he is angry with himself. I’m sorry for him and I really hope they will make peace before it’s too late. Aiden is managing the training with Jake.
As we are looking for them on the opposite corner of the ground, Aiden hails us. It’s the future warriors who are training now. Collin tells us he has to go as he has to leave to pick up Harper. His wolf doesn’t like to be separate too long from her. He is a super daddy.
“What do you think about our training?” Aiden asks me.
“Honestly, it’s good and efficient for almost all your wolves.?” I tell him.
“She is right. It’s an efficient training but what do you do when it’s not working for one of your trainees?” Asks Alec.
“We test them every three months if they failed twice in a row or four-time they are out. They still have self-defense training every week but they can’t become warriors... And I can see you disagree with that.” Says Aiden.
“Motivation is powerful, if one of them is very motivated he should have another way to prove himself.” I tell him.
“She is right, in my pack when the training is not working for someone we send him in one of our allies where they have another to train their warriors. When a future warrior is really motivated he will not give up and he will succeed in a way or another.” Explains Alec.
“They don’t have Allies as they don’t need one. This is one of the reasons why I find it prejudicial.” I tell Alec.
“Well we don’t need more warrior so we could miss a few because our training is not adapted to them.” Aiden shrugs.
“It’s a shame. To have another way to see things is a plus in a team.” Says Alec.
“If you say so.” Aiden answers.
“ Let’s me train on of the ones who failed today. If he is able to win a fight against one of your warrior you will let him go train in another pack.”
“Why the point of that?” He asks me .
“To prove you, I’m right.”
“Deal! You can try with Paul and he will fight at 5:00 with Sean.” He tells me smiling.
“Don’t you ask Liam before?” I ask him.
He scoffs: “ As if you could win.”
“We will see!” I smile. Challenges are exciting!
“I have the perfect subject. Paul failed the last tested but he doesn’t want to give up. If he keeps like that he will fail the next test. Sean is one of my top students.” He tells us.
“Paul, come here!” Aiden calls.
We see a young man around 16 years running toward us. He is not very muscular but he is fit and short for a werewolf. He could us3 that as an asset.
“Paul, Today you will train with Anna-Lynn. At 5:00 you will fight with Sean.” Aiden explains to Paul.
Paul just nods and doesn’t say anything even if I can see worries in his eyes.
“Good luck!” Aiden tells us.
“It’s not about luck.” I retort.
Aiden laughs as he is running back to his team.
“This should be fun!” Alec tells me ecstatic.
“I know. Hey Paul, I’m Anna-Lynn but you can call me Lilly and this is my friend Alec.”
“Nice to meet you both.” He tells me.
“ Nice to meet you too kid.” Says Alec.
“Why I’m training with you today.” He asks me.
“To prove Aiden is wrong as you will win your fight against Sean.” I tell him with a smile.
“It’s impossible, he is Aiden’s best student!”
“Nothing is impossible. Can you show me which one is Sean please?”
He points a very muscular young man. He is very tall, that is a good thing for us.
“Let’s observe him and tell me what you see about him.” I tell him.
“He is powerful, confident, strong.” He answers me too quickly.
Alec scoffs.
“Something to say Gamma?” I say arching an eyebrow.
“For someone who doesn’t like using title you’re using mine too much!”
“It’s because I know you like it as much as I do!”
We laugh about our childish ways.
“You two are crazy. I don’t know if you know but I will die in 6 hours.” Says Paul.
“Don’t be so dramatic. We are saving your ass if you really want to become a warrior one day.” Alec tells him.
“You are right, Sean is strong but he is too confident that he never protects his left side. His balance is weak on his left foot too. He is much taller than you but you have to use it as an asset not as a default. He will have to move his gravity center to fight you so if you push to take his balance on his left foot you will be able to make him fall.” I tell him.
“Wow! You see all of that in less than 5 minutes?” He says in awe.
“Yes, and I saw so much more but I want you to be able to see by yourself. If you are careful you can also see he is always doing the same schematic of punches.”
“ You are right.” He tells me after a few minutes looking at Sean.
“She is always right, kid.” Says Alec.
“Let’s go. We have a lot to do.” I tell them.
We spend the day teaching Paul. Collin looked at us as if we were crazy before he picked up interest in our tactics and our explanation. We trained ourselves with Paul and he was really curious et motivated. He really wants to be a warrior and he is not ready to give up his dreams. I have no doubt he will be a great warrior one day and he learned pretty fast. Fast, he is fast, faster than a lot of werewolves. He also has to use it because it’s a huge asset. And it worked for him, in less than two minutes Paul won his fight! He pushed Sean to use his left side and too quickly. Sean didn’t even have time to attack before he was on the floor. Aiden was dumbfounded and Alec cried out of laugh.
“How is it even possible?” Aiden asks while I’m getting out the training ground.
“ Easy, he used his assets and observe his enemy long enough to know his weakness.” I tell him.
“Now you have to keep your part of the deal.” Says Alec. “My pack would be glad to train someone like him.”
“True. I was thinking about Alpha Constatinos too.” I tell Alec.
“ He has a really atypical way to train but you know that already.” He answers. True but it was very efficient for me.
“I will explain the bet to Liam and see if we can let him train in another pack.” Aiden tells us.
“Congrats by the way.” He adds.
“Come drink something with us, I will pay to celebrate our victory. You can come to Jake.” Alec says.
“I can’t, I have a date with my mate.” Says Jake.
“I’m in. Just let me take a shower. I will meet you at your house?” Says Aiden.
~~~~~~~~
We are at home as we didn’t want to go out. We also have enough food and drinks to open a restaurant. I will never ask Alec to buy the food! Bad bad idea. The only we miss now is a fallout shelter. And I’m not joking! We are in the leaving room with our cocktails – Alec made them.
“You never drink alcohol?” Aiden asks me. “No, I don’t like the taste and it has no effect on my so why keep drinking.” I answer him.
“I know she is boring!” Says Alec.
“I’m not!” I protest slapping his arm as he is sitting on my left.
“Ouch! You are such a violent woman! Let make a toast to our victory” Says Alec.
“I can believe Paul won against Sean.” Says Aiden shaking his head.
“We just observed him enough time to see his weakness. Also he was so sure that Paul was strong enough for him. Paul was smarter than him in the way he fought.” I explain.
“How did you learn that?” Aiden asks me.
“I spent a year in Crete and I was trained by Alpha Constantinos himself.” I say.
“The one who has a weird way to train his warrior.”
“If it’s only weird!” Scoffs Alec.
“What do you mean?” Asks Aiden.
“He starts by teaching me other sport before fighting.” I say not really wanting to develop more.
“I didn’t know pole dance as a sport.” Says Alec and I roll my eyes.
“What! Why? Was it really useful or it was for his own pleasure?” Says Aiden angry.
“Both, but I knew it when I started training with him.”
“So you offer him a free show against training! You should have asked me!” Says Aiden.
“Really? You are joking right. You were not here for me! At all. You would have laughed at me if I had asked you to learn me how to fight! Do be hypocritical now!” I defend myself.
“Wow! Relax man. Anna-Lynn is a grown woman who she knows what she wants. Nobody can’t force her to do something she doesn’t want.” Says Alec.
“I’m sorry.” Says Aiden after cool down.
“Did you fuck him?” Asks Collin. We all turn our heads toward him.
“Bad move buddy! I just calmed him down.” Says Alec.
“Depends on the answer.” Shrugs Collin.
“So?” Asks Aiden trying to appear calm.
“Yes. It was my first one if you want to know. I was mateless and he didn’t have met his mate yet, so why not.”
“Oulala!!! This is so hot!!!” Collin teases me.
“How old were you? And him?” Asks again Aiden already less calm.
“16 and he was 28. And it was so good!” I defy his false calm appearance.
“He could have killed you! You are human and he is a werewolf, worst an Alpha!” He says jumping off his seat.
“I’m not a porcelain doll! I can do more than manage sex with a werewolf!” I say also getting up.
Alec starts to laugh like he has lost his mind.
“Believe me you should be more worry for her lovers than for her! Lilly is a force to reckon with.” He explains.
“To be able to keep up with her, you really need to be in good shape. A really really good shape.” He adds when nobody nothing.
“I think he gets it. Don’t need to develop anymore Alec.” I tell him.
“How many sexual partners did you had?” Aiden ask me.
“ Few...” I say and Alec laughs again. I glance at him.
“If a look could kill, you will be dead.” Collin tells him.
“I would have to die a few years ago but Lilly is used to my way and she loves me like that.” He answers.
“Did you slept with him too?” Aiden asks me pointed Alec.
“Are you crazy man! I like my life too much to have sex with her.” Alec answers instead of me.
Suddenly Aiden and Collin go rigid. Someone is mind-linking them. Collin loses his smile and turns to look at me.
“There is someone to the north border who is here to see you.” He tells me.
“Who? A werewolf?” Alec asks.
“Of course a werewolf what could else could she be!” Aiden says still pissed.
“She refuses to say who he is and only wants to speak to you. The warrior didn’t arrest her because she didn’t cross the border. She just says she needs to speak to you urgently.” Explains Collin.
“Let go to the north border then.” I say and Alec nods in Gamma mode.
“Where are your weapons?” He asks me.
“The twin Saï on my thighs, and the Masaï spear on my inner left arm.”
“Good.” He tells me.
“I don’t know if you realize but your movements are synchronized!” Collin tells us as we all walk towards the north’s border.
“He is right. It’s almost creepy to be so synchronized.” Adds Aiden.
“We are used to work together.” I tell them.
“And to fight together.” Adds Alec.
“Do you fight often?” Asks Aiden.
“Only when it’s necessary.” I say.
As we arrive close to the north border I recognize Willow. We look at each other with Alec. Why is she here?
“Well, she is not a werewolf but a witch.” Tells Alec to Aiden.
“But she smells like a werewolf.” Protests Aiden.
“She is not. She is just cheating with a spell. You can notice that by how strong she smells. Too strong as we are able to smell her from here.” I tell Him. He nods.
Liam is already here, questioning her.
“Did we already met? I know your face but not your smell.” He tells her.
“No Alpha Liam, it’s the first time we meet. And you do not fully heal yet I see.”
“You saw her on the memory I shared with you.” I tell him and I see him connecting the dots.
“You are not a she-wolf but a witch.” He confirms.
She just ignores him and looks at me.
“What did you see this time? Or what are you ready to tell me that you didn’t last time.” I ask her.
Willow has the bad habit to only show what she wants you to see to push you to serve a bigger purpose or her own. This is really annoying to know you are making a decision without all the knowledge. I hate to be blind in my choice.
“It’s not about the challenge between Alpha Liam and Alpha Markus.” She tells me before looking at Liam.“You will lose your fight but you will not be the one who dies in the end.”
“What does that mean?” He asks her but she will not tell him more. It’s how she is.
She ignores him again and tells me: “ Alpha Markus will attack the Fire Falls Pack tomorrow at 4:00 and if you don’t stop him, he will kill everyone even the babies. You need to go.”
“It’s 500 miles away from here.” Says Alec.
“I will open you a gate.” She answers.
“Open another from the Blue Moon Pack too. My father will accompany me.” I tell her.
“I already sent one or your Allies .” She tells me.
“I still want my father to be here.”
“I will... By the way the future warrior you should send him to Alpha Constantinos with his mother. There is a second chance of love for her over there. And bring them with you in the Fire Falls Pack.” She says.
“What’s future warrior are you talking about?” Asks Liam
“Your Beta will explain to you.” She answers.
“What a lovely baby you have here. She is a beautiful mistake and she will have a great life because of you. You make the right choice by choosing her. The moon goddess knows that.” She tells to Collin.
“Thank you.” He says looking proud.
“One last thing, there is a huge change in your Pack Gamma. You should call your brother.” She adds looking at Alec before disappearing as she always likes to do.
“Do you not what she was talking about?” I ask Alec.
“No idea... and we had an argument before I left.” He answers me.
“Let me guess... He is ignoring you now. So typical!”
He laughs.
“Ready to fight?” He asks me.
“We will not need to.” I tell me.
“How so?” Asks Collin.
“Laws my friend. They are one our side.” I tell him.
