Another Choice

Today is a big day. Everything needs to be perfect. I can’t mess up this time! She’s finally giving a chance! One chance and I need to prove her that enough, to prove I’m the right one for her. Damn, I’m so stressed that I didn’t sleep last night.

"Don’t screw up!" My wolf says.

"Thanks! For your support! Do not see that I’m already too stressed by myself!? I need you on my side!"

"Sorry, I’m just stressed too but you’re right, we are on the same side. We can’t screw up!"

"I know! We will not." I reply more trying to reassure myself than to convince him.

The good thing with the fact that I didn’t sleep last night is I had the time to plan our not date - date day. I will bring her to a nice lake in our pack territory. I cooked a picnic for both of us, with my mother’s help. She and Dad were happy for me when I told them Selina was giving me a chance. We also spoke all together with Fynn, yesterday night when I went back. Even Lila was here. He recognized that he was struggling a lot but he also shared with us that he wants to move on. Actually, he already started to look for a vet’s school.

He also confessed what he did to me at Selina’s 18 birthday party. I’m not angry against him because maybe his confession to Selina helped me. Moreover, as she told him, the past is the past we can’t change it, we just have to live with it. And all of this would have never happened if I was not stupid and ignoring my soulmate. I look at my watch and it’s 9:55. Finally! Time to pick up my sunshine. I teleport myself to the castle in front of her wing. I’m surprised to see Tom waiting outside her door.

“Hey, Emily is helping her to get ready.” He tells me.

“Hey, good!” I say.

“Breath Noah, you should be happy.”

“I’m happy but I’m so scared to mess it.”

“She is your true soulmate, everything will be fine now that you both aren’t denying it.”

It’s crazy how he changed. He is so wisely now and positive. After Melissa’s death, I thought he would never be the same again. It’s nice to see him so happy and relax now.

“I hope you’re right!” I reply.

“I’m!” I say knocking at the door for me.

“Hey Noah, how are you? She is almost ready. Good luck!” Emily says once she opened the door and saw me.

A few seconds later, she is followed by Selina. She is wearing a black dress and her make up is light. She is just breathtaking. She is always breath-taking but dressed like that... She is just WOW. No words can describe how perfect she is. She looks at me and my heart is biting wildly everything around us is fading away. At that moment nothing else matters than her.

“Hey Noah, How are you?” She tells me with a shy smile.

“Hey Selina, I’m fine thanks! You’re so... sublime. Wow!”

“Thanks.” She replies blushing.

“Are you ready to go?” I ask and she nods.

“See you later kids.” Tom tells us.

I could roll my eyes on him but my only focus is Selina. I tend my hand toward hoping she will take it. And she did.

"YESSS!" My wolf purrs. Small dance of victory in my mind.

“Let’s go sunshine, we have a busy day in front of us.”

“See you later old man.” Selina replies to Tom.

“Where are we going?” She asks me while we are walking out of the castle.

“To start in one of my favorite places in my pack territory. Are you ready, sunshine?” I reply.

She nods and I teleport us to the lake. There is a small beach on our left side and we are in the middle of a flowery meadow. It's my favorite place in all the pack territory.

"Wow, this is a beautiful place. Colorful and full of light." She says impressed.

"Yeah, this my favorite place here.”

“I understand why. This is so breathtaking.”

“Not as much as you’re my Lycan.” My wolf comments. I totally agree and I would have shared his thoughts with her if I was not afraid that she finds me too cheesy. We have only one chance!

“You need to relax Noah.” She says smiling at me.

“Sorry, I’m freaking at the idea of fucking up my chance.” I reply.

“Well, I’m scared to fall in love with you. Maybe we can help each other.” She says with a shy smile.

Goddess, kill me! She is so perfect.

"Maybe we can start by play 20 questions. I mean the objective today is to know each other." I propose.

"Sure, why not? You can start if you want." She replies.

"Fine. Why were you making out with the twin's douche? I mean a few weeks before you were by my bed, checking on me." I ask feeling my jealousy raises.

She starts to laugh out loud. She is really laughing, calming my jealousy down instantly. Goddess help me! Her laugh just took my breath away.

"Well, that's direct! I was thinking you will ask me meaningless questions, at least to start. I was just wanted to enjoy myself and I have to say sleeping with two men is one of my fantasies. Moreover, you were kind of still keeping your distances from me. I had just a bad day and I just wanted to forget everything." She explains when she has stopped to laugh.

I nod: "Your turn."

"Okay. Uhm... With how many girls did you sleep with?"

"You're direct too!"I comment.

She raises an eyebrow: "You start it."

"Fair enough! One, only one. You?" I can see how my answer surprised her.

"One too." She is so stunned by my answer that she doesn't ask a question directly.

"But in the past few months, I saw you making out with more than one guys."

"I know but I couldn't. I just can't. My mother used to have one night stand before she met my father and I have not idea how she did it. The more I try the more I realize that I can't have sex without feeling so it was just kissing. It's not me. I guess I'm more like my father for that."

"So you wouldn't have slept with those twins if I didn't stop you?"

"No, even if it's one of my fantasy. My turn to ask you a question. Did you sleep more than one time with that girl? The one you fucked at my birthday party."

"Only once. It was not planned and a mistake. I'm like you, I can't have meaningless sex. I know Fynn went to meet you and what he told you. I see you with him. You will not be happy with me but I want to be honest with you always. I smelled him and when I see him with you, I spied on you. First, because I was not trusting him with you and secondly because I was surprised to see how he is struggling. He hid that to us. Anyway, even if I was drugged it's not an excuse. I should have fought it. Now I will have to live all my life with the memory of my shitty first time."

"Thank you for your honesty, I appreciate it."

"I'm sorry. I was so stupid. I was never against you. I just wanted to be free to do my own choice. It's just me too long and to see you in love for someone else to realize that you're what I always wanted."

"I understand you know. I know it's a lot to take. Being my mate is so much more to be mated to anybody else. If it's worked between us, there is a lot you will have to sacrifice."

"I know but it will be worth it. I like the idea to be one of the only few persons that will know the real you Selina, not Queen Selina. I know you don't want to hear it but I will give up everything to be with you, to earn the right to be by your side." I say, caressing her cheek.

"Everything, everything?" She says in a playing tone.

"Everything! I will turn into a full Lycan and give up my magic if it's what it needed to be your mate." I reply seriously. I want her to understand how serious I'm.

"Don't give up your magic, Ever! I love magic. Honestly, I'm kind of jealous. I wish I could have been a witch!" She says with envy.

"Good to know!" My wolf says.

"I know, we will see if we can do something about that!" I reply to him.
