Chapter 0084
Mia's cheeks flushed, and Summer tilted her head with a teasing grin. "So that blood on your lip came from you biting him?"
Now it all made sense. No wonder Mia had blushed so hard when she had asked.
Jenna was practically grinding her teeth. She had suspected something happened between them in the restroom but had convinced herself it was just her imagination. Hearing Hunter admit it felt like a stab of jealousy. That shameless Mia had really gone and seduced Hunter in there!
Hunter's fingers rested on his lip, a slight smirk playing at the corner of his mouth as he looked at Mia. "What's wrong? Not planning to take responsibility?"
Mia clenched her jaw, sighing before turning to Summer. "Go on back to the studio. Send all the project materials to my email, and I'll call you after I go through them." "But are you sure...?" Summer cast a worried glance at Hunter, clearly not comfortable with leaving Mia alone with him.
"Relax. With his precious Jenna here, he's not going to try anything with me," Mia muttered, keeping her voice low.
"Alright, but be careful," Summer whispered, giving Mia a concerned look before leaving. She had so much more she wanted to say to Mia, but it would have to wait. Mia gave Summer a small wave and after she left, Mia finally made her way over to the car.
Sam had already opened the door and waited respectfully as she approached, gesturing with a polite bow. "Mrs. Jasper, please get in."
Mia offered him a faint smile. "Thank you." She bent down to slide into the car, and Sam promptly closed the door behind her.
Inside, Mia took the seat by the window, casting a glance at Jenna, who sat in the middle.
Jenna's fists clenched as she shot Mia a venomous look. "So the witch really got in," Jenna fumed silently.
Catching Jenna's glare, Mia's lips curved into a sly smile. "With Jenna sitting here, it's hard for me to help with your injury." She was, of course, referring to Hunter's lip, the one she had bitten.
That small cut on Hunter's lip would be healed soon enough, but the chance to irritate Jenna was too good to pass up.
"You-!" Jenna's face twisted in fury, barely holding back the urge to claw at Mia. That shameless Mia was really good at putting on an act!
"You can get out of the car. I'll have the driver come pick you up," Hunter said calmly.
Jenna stared at him in disbelief, unable to process what he had said. "Hunter, who are you telling to get out?"
She was sure he meant Mia.
"Sam, you too," Hunter added with more clarity. "Please wait here with Miss Walker for her driver."
Jenna froze, her face falling as it sank in that it was her, not Mia, he wanted out of the car.
Mia sat quietly, her expression mild, her gaze indifferent. She couldn't deny she was surprised by Hunter's treatment of Jenna.
Jenna, after all, had always been his favorite. What could have changed?
Obediently, Sam opened the back door and stepped out, waiting for Jenna to follow.
Jenna quickly adjusted her expression, clutching Hunter's arm with a soft pleading tone. "Hunter the wind out there is awful. I don't want to wait outside. Why don'

She knew if she got out now, Mia would just use it to mock her later. Absolutely not!
Hunter glanced out the window, noting how people's jackets whipped around in the strong breeze. The wind was indeed strong.
Mia tilted her head, watching Jenna put on her little performance. Honestly, as long as she didn't think of Hunter as her husband, Jenna's act was almost amusing. Kind of entertaining, actually.

her suffer.
But when Hunter glanced back, he caught Mia's look of amusement and frowned. He pushed Jenna aside, opened the door, and stepped out. Jenna was stunned. Why did he get out of the car?
Mia looked just as puzzled. What was he up to?
Before Mia could fully process it, Hunter gripped her wrist. "Out," he ordered firmly.
Mia turned back to face him, her gaze steady. "What are you doing?"
