Chapter Epilouge
"ELLIA! GET BACK HERE AND EAT YOUR VEGETABLES, YOUNG LADY!"
Aria waddled out of her and Marcus's belly, her pregnant belly keeping her from moving at a speed more than a duck waddle. She felt hands on her waist and smiled over her shoulder as Marcus nuzzled her neck, his eyes watching their daughter running towards her Aunt Eve as fast as her three year old legs could carry her. Eve swept her up in a hug, her eyes bright as Blake strode beside her, carrying their own four year old son. Eve glanced down at Aria's belly and let out a laugh,
"How are the twins, Alpha? Any day now, right?" Aria grumbled, one of her hands fluttering down to rest on her bulging stomach.
"They have alpha blood alright, they kick something terrible." Marcus grinned down at her before placing a tender kiss on her head, that Aria swatted away irritably.
"I, for one, will be glad when we can take some time off, for the children of course, and you two can run the pack for a while so we can get a much needed break." Aria and Eve let out a short peal of laughter as Aria looked at her Mate,
"Vacation? Just you wait until they're born, then you'll be wishing you could take a vacation." Marcus place both of his hands on her stomach and grinned,
"I'm still excited!" Aria rolled her eyes, but relented with a smile and long kiss that made Ellia squeal.
"No kissing!" Their daughter shouted, pointing a finger at them both that made Aria stick her tongue out at their daughter.
It had been her idea to name their first daughter after her former beta, who she discovered she was pregnant with a little under a year after she had been gifted a second chance. After she had returned, there had been much explaining and storytelling along with lost of stolen private moments with Marcus, which were rare to come by for weeks after the incident. A few months after she had come back, her and Marcus decided to merge packs with one another, leading together rather than lead two separate packs, or have one of them give up their packs. Despite their alpha status, their wolves were more than happy to work together if it meant that they spent more time together, and since they had merged, their hadn't been a large problem. There had been a few night when Marcus had slept on the couch, mostly when Aria was pregnant with Elli, but the fights never lasted longer than a night before they were back to normal.
The last few years had gone as smoothly as possible, few rogues ventured onto their property, and those that did were only seeking to join a pack. News of Aria's powers had spread across the world like wildfire, and even now, years later, she was receiving letters from packs inquiring that she help with a problem. Each time, Aria had written back with a heavy heart that she no longer had her powers, and that she regretted to inform the pack that her power had all been put into the dome on that day. She rarely missed her powers, understanding that she had been given a second chance, and that she had saved many wolves that night when she made that dome.
Now, standing on the porch surrounded by her family, she looked up at moon that was faint against the blue sky, and said a silent prayer of thanks. She had followed her fate and it had lead her home. A place where she was finally happy.
