Alpha's Cursed Luna

Chapter 11

ELEANOR

I bit my lip, not knowing what else to do when I heard him grunt slightly. Then he cleared his throat and I felt a hand now touching my chin. His touch alone was seemingly alike to the jolt of electricity coursing through my body as he lifts my head to look at him and meet his eyes.

Heat rushing to my face, I stared at his piercing blue eyes that was looking right into my soul. It's like my face and whole body is burning under the intensity of his gaze and his overwhelming touch. "You look.... beautiful" He leans in his face closer to me and I didn't know whether I could take it anymore.

It has gotten to a point where the smell as aell as the hotness of his breath was already turning me on, that I needed to push him away slighty as I settle my hands on his rock hard chest.

God I can already feel his abs right here.

Instead of pushing him away I pushed my body back as Alexander stood so strong and hard. I looked away from his gorgeous face, feeling my heart quickening its pace and knowing I just couldn't take one moment of intensity with him right now. I felt defeated.

"Uhm.. Thank you.. You look nice” I commented, glancing at his glittering gray tuxedo matching his pants and his beautiful platinum blonde hair that was neatly pulled to the back. His eyes as deep and piercing as they were yesterday when I walked into that meeting room.

He arches his lips to a smile and catches my hand to lock in his.

"The fact you're wearing the dress means you agree to be announced officially as my mate" He looks me over before pulling me again to his chest like it's a normal thing he do to girls.

When my breasts hit his chest, he suddenly groaned and his eyes became dark with lust, probably his wolf that was trying to take over his body.

I didn't do it on purpose, but that was the outcome of him pulling me into his body so suddenly.

"I think we should go now" I watched as his eyes lost its darkness to bring back his piercing blue ones staring at me.

My lips parted slightly, not knowing what to do or say next as he seemingly regained control.

I plaster a smile on my face, trying to breathe as steadily as I could and not panic.

I gently push him away in a bid to calm my heart beating rapidly with the closeness of our bodies, my breasts pressed against his chest.

He lets me go, and I'm relieved he did even though his hesitance made him grip me back to him tighter for a second.

"You'll be alright, Eleanor Ares reassures me. I nod to myself and force a smile to creep on my face. "I'm ready" I say.

Alexander holds his arm out to me and I shyly took ahold of the tattoed muscle arm of his as he guides me to the halls

We walked slowly, afraid I would trip with my high heels if we walked too fast. When we got to the top of the stairs, I couldn't help but want to gag seeing that the hall was fully packed. There were hundreds of pairs of eyes staring at us, and I could already hear murmurs among the large crowd whispering about the fact I'm the onyl wolfless girl in my pack, which deep in my heart I know isn't true.

My breathing quickened and I felt as though I would faint at any moment. My eyes nervously scan the crowd who all looked up to meet me in the eye.

I can also feel Alexander's gaze on me, but I was too nervous to look at him and turn back now. It will be awkward.

I continued to walk down the stairs while unconsciously gripping Alexander's arm with my hand and the other hanging loosely on the side. I dropped my eyes to the stairs to make sure I'm stepping on concrete, yet secretly wanting to escape the scrutinizing eyes of the crowd

Out of the corner of my eye, I notice Alexander was still looking at me and I wondered how he was able to do it without checking his every step. Raising my brows, I whip my head to face him and when I met his sky blue eyes watching me closely as though mesmerized, I just had to stumble on my steps until I felt my back swoosh backwards in the air, almost hitting the ground. I close my eyes instinctively awaiting for my biggest fall and my next moment of embarrassment, but it never came. Rather than feeling the pain from a strong thud colliding with my head and back, I felt warm hand wrap around my waist expertly and another around my shoulders I was pulling back uncomfortably. Just then I opened my eyes, and I almost screamed when Alexander's face was leaning too close towards me, too close I that I couldn't even continue to breathe. Our faces were only two inches apart from each other.

His brows were thick, his nose tall and boldly shaped, his lips so plump, and I noticed he even had scars from claw marks on his right cheek, as if someone had attempted to tear off his head but didn't get close enough to do so. My brows furrowed just looking at it. I felt a tug in my heart I couldn't quite put a finger on. But as he leaned in, his face coming closer to gaze upon me, blood pumped intensely through my veins and my heart raced increasingly fast.

I can smell his intoxicating scent, his breath, his hair that smelled of mint shampoo. So refreshing, and oh so delicious.

I mentally face palmed myself when I realized I was actually checking him out. Him. The Alpha of our enemy pack for goddess sake.

The crowd gasped. It was only then that I realized where my hands were gripping at. Apparently I was gripping the back of his head, afraid of falling to my shame that made me reach for his head upon instinct.

Slowly, he helped me back up to my feet and I finally let go of his head.

The moment he pulled back from the closeness between our bodies, a frown formed on my face for a reason I'm vaguely aware of. I don't know why but I regretted he had to let me go just when our lips felt like they were gonna smash together and our tongues about to fight. I stifled a gasp at the thought.

"You okay?" He showed a worried expression on his face, making my heart flutter at the genuine concern I've been looking at.

I nodded shyly and quickly averted my eyes away from his. I didn't want to separate myself from him at that moment and apparently, I hate myself for it.

“Why are you avoiding him?" Ares asks as she descends once agian from the back of my mind.

I let out a frustrated sigh as I faced the direction opposite to where Alexander was.

'I don't know... Something doesn't feel right when I'm with him’ I say truthfully.

Suddenly, I felt Alexander's hand slowly slip into mine. He lets our hands tangle, and the feeling of warmth I was receiving from his touch was slightly making me want to recoil. This is the first time I'm holding hands with a man. The second, if I recall. I feel my heart thumping faster and faster inside my chest the closer we get to the bottom of the stairs. He then led me to the very long table where all the werewolves emitting powerful auras were, seemingly close to that of werewolves categorized in the beta, gamma, even alpha rank, but not quite.

Someone suddenly stood up and pulled out a chair for me, right beside the seat for the alpha at the very center. I looked at Alexander and he smiled at me dazzingly.

"He's my brother.” He said.

I widened my eyes a little bit and looked over the man with the same platinum blonde hair, the same pair of beautiful piercing blue eyes and the exact same build. He was just as muscular and ripped as Alexander, only that he was a little shorter. He was yet he was still evidently taller than me, a mere 5'1 ft in height. If I stood right in front of them I would look like a small, weak rabbit preyed upon by two monstrous beasts towering over me.

When our eyes met, I felt a shudder run down my spine. I couldn't point out any valid reason why, then he smiled sweetly and all my anxiety was instantly pushed washed down the drain.

"Come take a seat, gorgeous” His smile hit different when I looked into his eyes. It was as if he was carefully watching my every move, like a predator stalking his prey quietly amidst the grass.

I immediately shoved the thought away when Alexander gently pulled my hand and led me to the chair his brother had pulled out for me.

I sat quietly, trying to keep my smile. However, the moment I did I felt someone glaring daggers my way, making me look around the room until I saw a girl looking directly at me with a murderous aura about her.

I squinted a little and recognized her as the same girl holding the strawberry cake at the entrance. Veronyka.

"Do you usually do this back in your own pack?" She uttered the last word like venom as she spat at me.

I then inhaled oxygen into my lungs in a bid to cool myself down, like I usually do when someone intentionally disrespects me.

My lips arched into a small smile and I look at her gently whilst she looked at me with disdain. "What may I ask do you mean?"

She clicks her tongue and raises an eyebrow, looking me up and down as though in an attempt to insult me.

"You basically made us wait for an entire hour just for you to get all prettied up. It's already 9 am Don't you know we always start to have breakfast early at 8?" She sneered at me.

What she said immediately made me stand up from my seat, and all eyes snapped to look at me, shocked.

Shit! Mike always made me stand straight up instantly the moment he scolds me because I did something wrong and stupid.

An hour!

They waited for me for an hour!

As if out of habit, I bowed my head all the way down to the table to apologize. Tears were already threatening to run down like a storm.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" I said repeatedly and the room suddenly fell into an awkward silence. I shut my eyes completely and continued apologizing. At this moment, I can hear murmurs lingering around in the background.

"SIT. DOWN!" I jolted back and my bosom fell to the chair instantly. My eyes widened in surprise with the commanding tone in Alexander's voice that shook the entire room.

Unconsciously, I glanced at his face and saw his brows furrowed, his eyes focused on me intently, making me gulp as a bead of sweat slid down the side of my face.

Just then I heard Veronyka snicker in her seat as she looks at me mockingly.

"Is this really the woman you claim to be your mate, Alex? She's pathetic!" She chuckles again, earning herself a low growl from Alexander who was staring at her with a clear warning look in his eyes.

"Veronyka Blade! You will not disrespect my mate in this house. Apologize!" He roars, shooting glares at the girl who gasped as though she just got offended.

Suddenly, I found myself feeling really uncomfortable as the situation didn't turned out the way I wanted it to be. I had hoped and tried not to mess this up, but no matter what I do, everything always end up in pure disaster!
