Chapter Fifty–Nine: Luna Queen
Kiara’s POV:
Arm in arm with my mates, Kayden on my right and Jayden on my left, we descended the grand staircase, heading towards the dining room. The hallway was alive with vibrant chatter and the clinking of glassware. I felt a flutter of anticipation stir in my stomach.
My heart pounded in my chest as we neared the dining room, the beautifully carved wooden doors opening to reveal a large, bustling room filled with people who were dear to me. The long mahogany table was set with an array of delicious foods, the aroma wafting through the room, making my stomach rumble in delight.
My parents, Alpha Albert and Luna Clarise, sat at the end of the table. My father, tall and broad–shouldered with an aura of authority, had a soft smile playing on his l*ps. His eyes twinkled with paternal pride as he beheld his little girl, now a woman and a queen. My mother, beautiful as ever with her honey–blond hair and soft, compassionate eyes, had a radiant glow about her.
Beside them were Kayden and Jayden’s parents, Alpha Rowco and Luna Diana. Alpha Rowco, with his stern and commanding presence,
had an approving nod as he saw me. Diana, graceful and elegant, had tears brimming in her eyes, the love for her sons and their mate evident in her gaze.
To their right sat my three boisterous brothers – Kelix, Phoenix, and Helix. Despite their rough and tough exterior, I could see the joy in their eyes, and the happiness that their sister had found her true mates.
And there was Rex, standing near the fireplace, a glass of wine in his hand. His features softened as he saw me, his usual calm demeanour replaced with brotherly affection.
As we entered, the room fell silent. All eyes were on us, their gaze filled with joy and love. As we approached the table, my mother was the first to rise. With tears of joy streaming down her face, she rushed towards me, enveloping me in a warm hug.
“Happy birthday, Kiara,” she whispered in my ear, her voice choked with emotion. “And congratulations on finding your mates. We couldn’t be happier for you.”
My father followed suit, his usually stern face softened as he k*ssed my forehead, his gruff voice whispering,
“We’re proud of you, my little girl. My princess is on our queen.”
One by one, each person came forward. My brothers, their faces unusually serious, congratulated me, each one giving me a bear hug. Kayden and Jayden’s parents shared their heartfelt wishes, their eyes filled with happiness and approval.

Even Rex, usually so composed and aloof, had a twinkle in his eyes as he wished me.
“Happy birthday, Kiara,” he said, his voice gentle. “And congratulations. You deserve all the happiness in the world.”
It was a heartwarming sight, one that made me feel loved and cherished. Here I was, surrounded by people who loved me, who were happy for me. And standing beside me were my mates, their love evident in their eyes.
As I looked around the room, my heart swelled with happiness. This was my family, my everything, my kingdom. And I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday gift.
As the birthday wishes and congratulatory greetings began to settle down, I turned to Rex, a playful smirk on my face.
“Did you know about this?” I asked, my gaze flickering to my mates.
His smirk was as cryptic as ever.
“Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t,” he shrugged, his eyes twinkling with
amusement.
I couldn’t help but chuckle. The douche definitely knew. Thinking back, the majority of the people who were close to Kayden and Jayden knew. Now Beta Tim’s and Gamma Chris’s nickname of the little queen made sense. Despite telling them, I wasn’t little anymore. They insisted

I would always be a queen, little or no: sneaky bastards, all of them.
Luna Diana, the former queen, approached me with an encouraging smile on her face. She held my hands in hers, her warm, affectionate eyes looking into mine..
“You’ll make an amazing Luna queen, Kiara,” she said, her voice confident. “In preparation for your new role, you’ll be assigned a personal assistant and two tutors to guide you through your duties.”
My heart clenched at her words. The prospect of not pursuing my scholar dreams and instead stepping into this colossal role was daunting. I felt my throat tighten, and my stomach churned with anxiety. The entire room seemed to swim before my eyes. Sensing my distress, Jayden and Kayden tightened their grips around me. Their eyes, filled with concern and understanding, met mine.
“Sweetheart, it’s going to be okay,” Kayden said softly. “We will be there with you every step of the way. And remember, you don’t have to give up on your dream. We can always find a way to make things. work.”
I didn’t need to tell them what was haunting me. They both knew how much I looked forward to becoming a scholar. It was a dream since I was nine. Hell, it was the reason they could keep me here in the first place all those years ago.
Jayden nodded, his thumb caressing my hand reassuringly.
“Trust us, love. We won’t let you lose yourself in this. You can still be

a scholar and be our Luna queen. You’ll be great at both.”
Their comforting words brought a small smile to my face. Maybe it wouldn’t be as bad as I was thinking. With the love and support of my family and my mates, I could face anything. Plus, those tutors were meant to prepare me for the duty and with Luna Diana around, I could find a way.
As the breakfast continued, the conversation and laughter filling the room, my eyes drifted back to my mates. Their hands never left mine, their touch reassuring and soothing. And although the fear of the unknown still lingered, their love gave me the strength to face it. I was ready to embrace my new role as Luna queen, ready to embark on this new journey with my mates by my side.
And as we sat there, surrounded by our loved ones, I couldn’t help but feel grateful. Grateful for the love I was receiving, grateful for my mates, and grateful for the opportunity to serve my pack as their Luna queen. This was a new chapter in my life, and I was ready to embrace it with open arms.
The sound of the dining room door opening drew my attention. My heart fluttered in my chest when I saw JJ and Cathy making their way toward us. Without a second thought, I launched myself from my chair and raced into JJ’s arms.
He caught me with a hearty laugh, spinning me around as I wrapped my arms around his neck. Setting me down, he held me at arm’s length, his gaze filled with brotherly love and affection.
“I’m so happy for you, Kiara,” he said, his voice brimming with sincere

happiness. “You deserve nothing but pure joy, and I know the twins. will give you just that.”
He winked at me, a teasing smirk playing on his l*ps.
“Looks like all that praying to the moon goddess paid off, huh? She finally made you their mate.”
I giggled, giving him a playful shove.
“JJ, you’re awful!” I retorted, but I couldn’t keep the smile off my face.
I never had explicitly said anything about my crush on the twins. Still, apparently, according to Cathy, it was dead obvious, and everyone. from there now started teasing me that all that praying to the goddess wasn’t going to help me bag the twins.
Cathy, my best friend and now JJ’s mate, came over, her eyes sparkling with happiness. She wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug, her happiness radiating off her in waves.
“Happy birthday, Kiara,” she whispered, her voice soft. “And congratulations on finding your mates. I’m so excited that we’ll be living together in the castle now. No more late–night FaceTime sessions!”
I laughed, hugging her tighter. It felt so good to have her by my side. With her, I knew I could face any challenge that came my way. She had been there for whenever I needed to vent or just a shoulder to cry

- on. She was the friend that I wished to have growing up in school.
As the morning continued, laughter and conversations filled the room. The love and support I received from everyone were overwhelming, making my heart swell with gratitude.
Soon, breakfast was finished, and we were headed to the royal council chambers. This was it. The moment I’d been both anticipating and dreading. But looking at my mates, their hands in mine, their eyes filled with love and reassurance, I knew I was ready.
As we stood up, our families following suit, I felt a surge of courage. I was ready to face the royal council, ready to take my place as the Luna queen. With my mates by my side and my loved ones behind me, I knew I could conquer anything.
I knew there would be some backlash since I was technically a nobody in terms of heritage. Well, that wasn’t true. I was an alpha daughter that belonged to a lethal pack. However, I was from the council wolf lineage, not to mention the backlash from my mate’s conquest, which I still had to ask them about.
