Chapter 150
Chapter 150.
Chapter Forty–Four: It’s Been So Long
Kiara, at the age of Seventeen
Two Weeks before her eighteenth birthday
Kayden POV:
The day was finally here, finally f*cking here! It had been two long! Almost two years since me and Jayden had seen our mate, our beautiful, strong, gorgeous mate. Even though we could’ve gone to Crescent Haven and met with her, we held ourselves back. We had waited almost ten years and hid our bond and feelings for her to keep her safe. We couldn’t risk it all now with just two weeks left.
But staying away was not easy, there were most lash outs, aggression, then calm, collected days since Kiara had left the castle. Our wolves craved her, me and Jayden craved her. She was the other part of our soul. Even though we kept our distance when she was at the palace, it didn’t mean we didn’t see her even though she couldn’t see us. During those six years, we watched her grow into the beauty she was today. Even though we hadn’t seen her in person but the photographs Rex had shown us when he went to visit and the detailed report from the guards. we had put on her in her pack disguised as new pack members gave us
every detail there was about her.
Though it killed us to let her walk away that day, it had to be done, but the wait was over now, we still had two weeks till she was eighteen, and she would feel the bond between us, but at least she would be in front of our eyes. But after that, she was never going anywhere again. She would forever stay in mine and Jayden’s arms, be our Luna queen and soul like she was always meant to be.
The only tricky part was to convince her to come back now. Luckily for us, her being the recipient of a scholar’s award from her scholarship, she was due back anyway to settle in before she started her training after her birthday. Though she was supposed to come a week after her birthday, we moved it to two weeks before her birthday so we could wine, dine and court our mate the way she deserved. So here we are on our way now, Jayden and I, to Crescent Haven to bring our mate back.
We knew she was a strong leader, respected by her pack, and fiercely protective of her people. She had grown into a formidable young woman, which scared and thrilled us. Our love for her had only grown stronger during our time apart, and we couldn’t wait to see her again, to hold her in our arms and tell her how much she meant to us. However, I couldn’t help but think of all the what–ifs. It had been two years since we had been away. What if she had moved on? What if she didn’t feel the same way about us anymore? What if she rejected us? These thoughts plagued my mind, and I couldn’t shake off the fear of losing her. Jayden tried to reassure me, but I could also see the worry in his eyes. The only consolation was that we knew she had no relationships during her time back from what Rex and the guards had told us, but that mean they knew what was in her heart.
Jayden POV:
The anticipation was building up as we approached Crescent Haven.. My heart was pounding in my chest, and my mind was filled with a mix of excitement and anxiety. It had been two years since we had last seen Kiara, our mate, and I couldn’t wait to see her again. But the fear of rejection gnawed at me. What if she had moved on? What if she no longer felt the same way about us? I pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the positive. After all, she was our future mate, and our bond was strong even before it would be wholly forged.
Kayden and I had been through so much together, and Kiara was the missing piece that completed us. We had waited almost ten years to reveal our feelings for her, to keep her safe. We had watched her from afar during her six years at the palace, and we had seen her grow into a remarkable woman. Her strength, determination, and loyalty to her pack were awe–inspiring during her time back at Crescent Haven. She was a true leader, and I couldn’t wait to see her in action as the Luna queen by our side.
As we approached the pack’s territory, I couldn’t help but feel a surge of nervousness. We had planned this moment for so long, but now that it was finally here, I felt a sense of vulnerability. We didn’t know how Kiara would react to seeing us after all this time. Would she be happy to see us? Would she reject us?
As we entered the pack’s territory, we were met with curious stares. from the pack members. It wasn’t every day the alpha kings graced packs with their presence. It was usually the other way around, with the pack alphas coming to us at the palace. But we needed to see her. It had been too long since we had seen her in person.

We made our way toward the pack’s main hall, where we knew Kiara would likely be. The tension in the air was palpable as we walked through the familiar territory, remembering the times we had been here before. We were finally going to see her face–to–face, which was both exhilarating and nerve–wracking.
When we stopped in front of the packhouse, Kiara’s brothers, alpha Kelix, alpha Phoneix and alpha Helix who had recently taken over the pack a year ago, were there to greet us, standing tall with their necks. slightly bowed to their kings. These three would soon be our brothers- in–law. There was no sign of their parents, which meant that they had yet to still return from their vacation, which was fine by us, we should easily sway the brother, but their mother, Luna Clarlise, was a tough cookie. Over the years, if anyone had caught on, it was probably her, but she had never mentioned anything. We didn’t need to make things. awkward before Kiara turned off age. Even though the triplets and several other warriors stood at our reception, Kayden and my eyes searched for the pair of blue eyes that had haunted our dream for many
years.
“Alpha King Kayden and Alpha King Jayden, welcome to Crescent Haven.” One of the triplets said.
Having to keep pretense and not look like love–fooled idiots, we reeled in our emotions and explained pleasantries.
Where was our little warrior?
As we entered the main hall, all eyes turned to us. The pack members looked at us with curiosity and surprise, but we didn’t have time for pleasantries with them all. Our eyes scanned the room, searching for
the one person we had come for – Kiara. And there she was, standing near the door, looking as stunning as ever. Her long. blonde hair cascaded down her back, and her eyes lit up with recognition as she
saw us.
For a moment, time seemed to stand still as our gazes locked. I saw a flicker of surprise, confusion, and then something else in her eyes. Was it longing? Or was it something else? I couldn’t be sure, but my heart leaped in my chest, hope surging through me.
We approached her slowly, unsure of what would happen next. Kiara’s expression was a mix of emotions surprise, curiosity, and maybe even a hint of hesitation. She seemed to be at a loss for words, and so were we. It had been two long years since we had seen each other, and now that we were finally face to face, it felt surreal.
“Kiara,” Kayden’s deep voice broke the silence, and I saw her swallow, her eyes darting between the two of us.
She didn’t respond immediately, and I could see the turmoil in her eyes. She was caught off guard, and I didn’t blame her. After all, we had kept our bond and feelings for her a secret for so long. But now, we couldn’t hold back any longer. We needed her.
