Alpha Elias

Chapter 3

She had no idea who he was as he stared at her. He didn’t move away from her, keeping a distance from her body but still caging her inside.

“Are you a rogue?” Myra whispered softly to him.

She could tell he was tall and the bulging muscles told her he was strong. She knew he would be able to snap her neck.

“Yes.” His voice was low and his answer simple as he stared at her.

“Can you kill me please?” Myra asked him softly.

Rogues didn’t care who they killed. She would be another number in his death tally but she needed it. Myra knew deep down she could never kill herself. She was weak and could never bring herself to do it.

The man stared at her, his eyes narrowing at her in question.

“Did you find her?”

Myra could hear a voice behind the man but she couldn’t see him.

“What’s your name?” The man with the golden eyes asked her softly. Myda could hear her own heart pounding in her chest. She needed to calm down. She was going to die and that was alright.

“Myra.” She answered him.

She didn’t want to tell him her full name was Myra Emerson. The world knew Myra Emerson was supposed to get married to Alpha Jackson but not her.

“Myra.” He whispered her name under his breath as he tilted his head to the side to look at her properly.

Myra stood up straighter as he ran his gaze over her ever so slowly.

“Elias.” The man called out to him again.

The golden eyed man lifted his gaze and stared at Myra. “What are you doing here?” He asked as he pulled away from her.

Myra saw men and women surround her as the man took a couple of steps back. He crossed his arms and stared at her. They all did.

Myra didn’t know what to say as she stared at them all. The golden eyed man whipped his head to the side.

He smirked. “We have company.”

She could tell he was excited to get blood on his hands as everyone started chuckling besides him.

Myra could hear the rustling somewhere close by. Alpha Jackson had found her. She could feel the connection to him getting stronger and stronger.

No no no.

She didn’t wait or care that everyone was staring at her as she ran away from them.

“Hey!” Someone shouted behind her as she ran past them all and further into the forest. She needed to get out of her.

Myra would hear the stories of the rogues and how they were powerful, stronger than any pack in the world. They were ruled by a Rogue King and Myra knew she had just met him. The golden eyed man. She was not going to wait for them to prison her in again.

You can not run from me! Alpha Jackson growled in her mind.

Myra shut out the door to his mindlink. She didn’t want to hear his voice ever.

She felt a hand on her wrist that pulled her backwards. Myra screamed to let go as a man held onto her. She didn’t know who it was.

“Be quiet.” The man hissed as he wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her against him.

“Let go!” Myra twisted and turned to get free but he was bigger and stronger than she was.

She felt something sharp against his hip. Myra didn’t overthink it as she reached her hand behind her and pulled the dagger.

The man instantly let her go as she held the dagger in her hand. She heard him take a few steps back as well as she stared at the dagger in her hand.

I can do it. Myra said to Luna softly.

She felt chills running up her body even though she was completely clothed.

“Hey give that back.” The man behind her said, a hint of fear in his voice.

She didn’t know why he was scared but Myra didn’t care as she held the dagger with both her hands. Her fists tightened on it as she raised the dagger up to her heart.

One stab. She said in her mind.

Luna didn’t say a word as Myra closed her eyes tightly and drove the dagger home.

“I don’t think so.”

She felt hands wrap around hers as the golden eyed man whispered into her ear. Myra looked down at the dagger. It was an inch away from her heart.

“Let go.” She told the man but he didn’t listen.

“I’m not letting you die.” The man chuckled to her as he easily pulled the dagger away from her and threw it over his shoulder.

“You’re supposed to be a ruthless killer.” She glared at him as she turned around to face him.

Something was raging inside of her. That fear and anger twisting and turning. It burned her from the inside as she stared at the man.

“Zac,” the golden eyed man turned away from her and to the man that had grabbed her. “Take her home.” He ordered.

Home.

“No.” Myra took a step back. She was not going with them.

“No?” He chuckled at her as he faced her.

“You’re coming home with me.” She watched as his lips lifted up in a small smirk as he stared at her.

No no no.

Mhra took another step back but she could hear people walking towards her, circling her in. She was surrounded.

“I need to leave.” She told the man. Pleaded with her eyes for him to understand that she needed to get away from here.

They were not going to kill her. They were not the right rogues. The stories were wrong though they all looked like killers. They didn’t want to hurt her, instead they wanted to take her home and for her to be their little plaything.

She needed to get out. Her heart was pounding in her chest, too fast and it was getting harder to breathe as she stared at the man.

In a flash the man was standing in front of her. She took a step back and he took a step forward. Her head was spinning, the blood from her feet coating the grass with every step.

“Kill me.” She whispered to him softly. She prayed and prayed to the Moon Goddess that he would do it. He would end her life with a snap of her neck.

His golden eyes softened a little, instantly the killer look disappearing from him. “No.” He told her and she could hear his heart beating slowly as he took a step closer.

He wasn’t going to do it. Myra could see the frown on his face as the world quietened down around them.

It was complete silence as the golden eyed man took a step too closer. She wanted to beg him on her knees to end her life, to tell him that she wanted only one thing on her birthday today. Death. Yet no one was willing to give it to her.

“Let me take you home.” The man said to her softly.

“Elias you know we can’t.” Myra heard a woman say behind her.

“Shut the fuck up.” Elias growled at her.

He didn’t look away from Myra though as her head started to spin a little. She closed her eyes tightly as Elias held onto her shoulder, balancing her up right.

Luna? Myra called out in her mind.

There was no reply as she felt the man bend down and lift Myra up into his arms. Elias started walking.

“Ten at the back. Ten in the front.” He demanded as she didn’t open her eyes and lay there lifeless in his arms.

She was pathetic. She was stupid and weak and couldn’t bring herself to end her own life. She was completely and utterly useless.

We don’t think like that. Luna growled at her.

Myra didn’t answer her back as she opened her eyes and stared at Elias as he walked with her in his arms. His brown hair was flicked back and it was a little longer than she had seen the men in her pack have. She could tell he was mindlinking someone because he had a distant look in his eyes.

She thought about the last time she wanted and screamed at them to come and kill her. She was 13 and she wanted to end it all yet no one had showed up.

How old was Elias? They said the Rogue King was a killer from a very very young age. He was strong and powerful and ruthless. He didn’t question you if you entered his land. He simply clawed your neck off and wiped his blooded hands with a cloth while he went for the next kill. They said his pack was ruthless just like him, people abandoned from their packs who considered them weak. He made them into ruthless killers and as time went by, they became the most feared pack.

Would she fit right in? She was abandoned all her life and she was weak. Would he turn her into a ruthless killer? Did she want that? No. She wanted peace and happiness and the only she sas going to get that was if she ended her life.

The constant fear of having two Alphas and thousands of people after you was not peace. She didn’t want any of the rogues to know she was married or she was Myra Emerson, property of Alpha Jackson.

Would he have told everyone by now? Did they kill him?

She stared at him. “Did you kill them?” She asked softly.

Immediately Elias looked down at her but he didn’t stop walking as if he knew the forests blindfolded.

“Who?” He asked, confused.

“You said you had company.” Myra told him and he chuckled.

“No. We were going for them but I heard you scream. I think they did too so they ran away.” He grinned to himself as the man named Zac laughed besides him.

They were cowards, she knew that was what he was thinking. Did he think that of her? Did they all think she was weak and a coward to end her life? To beg him twice and be refused twice.

She didn’t care what they thought as she heard laughter. The sun was peeking in through thousands of trees that covered the path as they walked through it.

“Put me down.” Myda told him quietly. Everyone stopped moving as Elias tilted her and she stood up on her feet. He held onto her shoulder so she wouldn’t fall but let go immediately when she stared at the path in front of her.

Myra could hear the laughter of children. Everyone around her started walking faster, eager to get home it seemed. They pushed away the bushes and she froze as she saw the space in front of her.

It was beautiful. People ran past her and shifted into their wolves running faster and faster through the land.

She could see everything from high above. There was a huge pack house in the middle of the land, thousands and thousands of houses were scattered everywhere, with parks and shops. It was a forest city that she never knew existed. Myra could see the path that led to the other side of the forest.

How big was this land? She had no idea.

“That leads to the humans,” Elias pointed to the path she was staring at. “There is a human city there which my pack is allowed to visit once a month. We usually keep to our own land.” He explained to her.

“It’s beautiful.” She said as she stared at everyone. There were people fighting and training, while others were seeing stuff. Little kids were playing and colouring. It was not a pack of killers.

“I’ll show you to a room.” Elias said to her as he held his hand out. She looked at it confused. Why did he want to hold her hand? She could walk down the hill herself.

Elias let his hand drop down as he walked down the hill. Myra followed him slowly.

“Alpha!” The children waved at him as they stopped on the ground. She watched as Elias ran towards them and they all jumped on him, laughing and giggling.

He was not a killer.

“Where’s Aunt Mary?” She heard him ask the little kids.

“Aunt Mary said no food for you because you came late.” A little girl giggled at him as he chuckled.

He turned to Myra. “Come.”

Myra followed him silently as she felt eyes on her back form his pack members. He walked towards the huge pack house. It was bigger than Alpha Jackson’s and Alpha Tom’s house. Elias pushed open the brown doors and walked inside. She heard people shouting in a room to pass the ball. They were watching football, she assumed.

The house was gorgeous. Chandeliers dangled from the ceilings as a golden couch was left in the hallway. Besides the door there was the tallest shoe rack she had ever seen. She had no idea how people would reach the highest shelf or if there were any shoes on it.

Two sets of stairs swirled up to the top floor and Myra followed Elias further into the house. She twisted around to see more stairs on each side of the second floor. The house was massive.

Myra imm stopped as she saw the blood on the white marbled floor with every step she took.

“Alpha? How many did you kill to-”

Elias growled at whoever asked from the living room. He turned to look at me as he ran a hand through his hair. “I’ll take you to a room.” He said.

“I need shoes. I’m sorry for making a mess.” Myra apologised to him.

Immediately heads popped out of the living room and teenage boys grinned at her.

“Oh it’s completely fine. I’ll clean it up.” One of the boys said quickly as he walked towards her. “Are you hurt anywhere? Would you like me to get a bandage for you?” He asked as the other boys walked towards him.

One of the boys pushed each other and one of them fell down laughing. On his knees, he looked up at Myra. “I’m falling for you.” He chuckled as he stood up.

“Back off.” Elias growled at them as he walked towards her.

It was the first time anyone had shown her any interest. She didn’t know how to feel but she was trying really hard not to smile.

Smile! Show the world your beautiful smile and watch them fall to the ground. Luna laughed in her mind.

Elias turned around to look at her. “I’ll pick you up.” He said to her.

“I can do it!”

“I’m stronger!”

“You’ve got a small dick, fuck off.”

Myra couldn’t help but smile as the boys started fighting with each other. Elias bent down and lifted her up into his arms. She wraps her hands around his neck so she wouldn’t fall as he started walking towards the stairs.

“Ciao senorita!”

She looked over Elias’s shoulder to see the five boys waving at her.

“Gracias senorita!”

“That means thanks dickhead.”

She smiled as one of the boys elbowed the other one in the stomach.

“Well I’m fucking thankful she’s here, dickhead.” He hissed to him.

“Calm the fuck down.” Elias muttered to them.

“Yes Alpha.” They replied immediately as she smiled at them. Myra waved at them and one of the guys pretended to faint into the arms of the other boys as she disappeared out of the view.

Elias walked her in silence to a door. He bent down a little and opened the door. He didn’t say a word as he walked her into the beautiful bright room. Elias placed her down on the bed as he walked through a door. she saw the white tiles peeking out from the open door.

Myra stared at the room. She was sitting on a really big black bed. Black curtains draped down to the ground in front of the wall window. The whole wall was a window and she could see people playing around the house.

“Let me clean that up.” Elias walked out of the bathroom with a small bucket of water and a green box in his hands.

“No it’s okay. I can do it.” Myra quickly said to him as he knelt down in front of her.

Elias didn’t say anything as he sat on the ground and lifted her dirty feet into his lap. He placed it on his black jeans and opened the green box. There were towels and bandages inside. He wet a towel and

twisted the towel to let the excess water out. Gently he started wiping her feet.

She watched him silently as he cleaned the blood and dirty off her feet. Why was he so nice to her? She had no idea. He was a Rogue King, supposedly a killer but he didn’t want to kill her at all. She watched him as she dried her feet with another towel in silence. She knew he could feel her eyes on him but he didn’t look up as he wrapped the bandages on her feet.

“If you rest on them, you will be fine for tomorrow.” He told her once he was done with the bandages.

“Thank you.” She replied sincerely.

Elias nodded as he placed her feet down slowly and stood up. She watched him as he picked up the dirty towels and put them in the bucket. He closed the green box and lifted everything up as he walked towards the door.

“Get some rest.” He told her as he walked out of the room and closed the door behind himself.

She was alone in the room. The silence echoed in her mind as she stared at the bathroom door.

She could find a pair of scissors.

Don’t do it. Luna said to her softly.

I’m tired, Luna. I’m tired of everything. Myra answered her back.

Every part of her body was aching and she felt so empty when she was alone. Mhra had no one in her life to show her happiness, to give a reason to live. She knew if they found out she was married to Alpha Jackson, they would send her back in fear of not starting a war between the rogues and the pack members.

There had been a fight amongst them many many years ago before she had even been born. She had read about the war that the packs had one and not the rogues but some part of her knew Elias would win this time. His territory was huge and never ending but a big part of her was afraid that if they found out who she was, they would send her away.

One girl to keep the peace between them all.

She didn’t want to be that girl.

You are high on emotions now,Myra and you might regret what happens. Wake up with a clear mindset and whatever you choose tomorrow, I’ll be right beside you. Luna told her.

Myra stared out the window. She couldn’t hear the people laughing and talking but she could see them.

Okay. She told Luna as she stared at the others.

Could she not be a normal girl without having thousands of eyes on her?

Myra sighed as she stood up slowly. Her feet hurt as she walked to the window. People immediately stared at her. Did they know who she was?

She closed the curtains slowly and the room was dark. Exactly what she liked.

She walked towards the bed and pulled the covers away. Myra didn’t look at the time as she laid under the covers and pulled them over herself.

You will be fine, Myra. Luna said to her in the silence.

Will she ever be fine?
