After the Breakup He Pursued Her Relentlessly by Fiola

Chapter 11.2

Chapter 11.2

I paused briefly, then walked into the flower shop as casually as I could. Soon, a bunch of white gentian was packaged, fresh and delicate.

Lucas took the flowers but didn’t move. “Westin is a good place.”

I smiled and said, “It is very livable, but it can’t be compared with big cities.” “I love it here, would you mind showing me around?”

Lucas spoke politely.

“Sure, but my shop…” I was about to decline.

“It’s okay, I’ll wait for you.” Lucas quickly responded. Before I could say anything, customers arrived.

I had to attend to them first.

Today, the flow of customers was particularly good.

By the time I finished my work, it was almost noon. Only then did I remember Lucas.

I looked around the shop but couldn’t find him.

Did he leave?

I was puzzled, and then I saw a person standing up on the wicker chair outside the door. “You must be tired. I bought you some milk.”

I was surprised that he was still here.

In order to express my hospitality, I closed the shop in the afternoon and took Lucas for a walk around Westin.

We crossed the cobblestone roads, passed over small bridges, and racked my brain to share all the cultural and historical knowledge I knew.

He listened carefully without the least impatience.

At the lakeside, we gazed at the boats.

“These are a specialty of Westin. You should experience it,” I suggested.

“Are you not coming?” he asked.

I shook my head. “I still need to go back and tidy up the shop.”

I half–jokingly asked, “Are you afraid the boatman will take you away?”

He smiled. “Will you accompany me if I’m afraid?”

I shook my head.

He bought the ticket, and I simply waited for the boat with him by the lake.

The lake was shrouded in mist.

Suddenly, he said, “Do you think I have changed?”

I didn‘ f quite understand. “Huh?”

He said seriously, “I was too arrogant before. I have been reflecting on what you said. Didn’t you say that we should all become better people?”

Before I could react, the boatman arrived.
