Chapter 15
Holy shit. Did I really just admit my feelings to Caleb?
His eyes had widened as he looked at me in surprise and I left the room as soon as possible after giving him a kiss on the cheek.
I went upstairs to grab my bag of clothes and put any of my other belongings back into the bag. I could feel anxiety creeping up to me because of his silence afterwards, but to be fair I didn’t really give him much of a chance to say anything.
I took a few calming breaths before going back down the stairs and dropping my bag by the door. I put my backpack next to it and went back out to the living room where everyone was. They were all in their original spots and were talking. I shouldn’t have, but I stopped in the hallway and listened close to what they were saying.
“-only has eyes for me. That means he likes me, right?,” Caleb asked with what sounded like worry in his voice.
“Dude, he likes you. He’s told me himself,” Remmy stated and I glared at the wall. He really needed to stop spilling all my secrets.
“Really?”
“Caleb, it’s obvious as fuck. I’m surprised you haven’t noticed,” Atlas responded with a chuckle.
“Bitch, why didn’t you tell me?,” I heard a smack and assumed Caleb smacked Atlas. I also heard some chuckling.
“Ow! We thought you knew!”
“Shh, quiet down. You don’t want Elliot to hear, right?,” Matt shushed.
It was quiet for a moment until Remmy spoke, “What are you going to do now that you know how he feels about you?”
It was quiet for another moment and the anxiety I felt began rising again.
“I don’t want this to affect our friendship,” he said in a quiet voice and a wave of sadness washed over me. I shouldn’t have said anything.
“What, so that’s it? You aren’t going to do anything? Do you have any idea how much this is going to hurt him? He told me how close you two are and how you’ve almost kissed. Was that nothing to you?,” Remmy asked angrily, no longer caring about being quiet.
“Of course it wasn’t nothing! I-I just don’t want to risk losing him!,” Caleb cried out.
“And you think pushing him away won’t do that?!,” Remmy yelled and I turned away with tears stinging my eyes. I grabbed my bags and closed the door behind me. I put the bags in the back seat of my car and got inside.
Elliot: Can we just go please? I don’t think I can be here right now.
Remmy: Of course. I’m really sorry dude. You don’t deserve that shit.
I didn’t reply and started my car. He walked out of the house angrily and closed the door behind him with a bang. He was pissed off.
He got into his car and I followed him to Tommy’s apartment. We parked in front of the building and I looked at the screen on my phone. I had tons of texts from Atlas, Matt, and especially Caleb. I turned my phone on silent, but decided to just shut it off when they began calling. I put it back in my pocket and got out of the car.
Remmy pulled me into a hug and I took deep breaths to calm down. I didn’t want to start crying.
We went inside the building after and I noticed how nice of a building it was. We took the elevator to the fourth floor and I followed him to apartment 4D. He knocked on the door and it opened a minute later. Tommy still had blonde hair that hung down to his cheek bones on both sides of his face and he was wearing a black hoodie that had white speckles on it as if it had paint all over it. His hood was up and he greeted us with a smile.
“Hey! It’s great seeing you again! Come on in and I can show you around,” he opened the door further and we went inside.
“Thank you so much for letting me stay here,” I said to him.
“Not a problem at all!” Tommy greeted Remmy and I started looking around. The frobt door opened right in the large living room. There were three leather couches that looked very comfortable, a large flatscreen tv mounted on the cream colored walls, and a few plants by the sliding door that led to a balcony. I looked around and noticed that all the floors except the bedrooms were wood. The kitchen was on the other side of an island that separated the living room from the kitchen. The appliances were stainless steel, the counters were marble, and it had a gas stove.
I walked down the hallway to the bedrooms and bathroom and looked at the bathroom first. As I expected since the rest of the apartment was really nice, it was large as well. It had a two sink vanity, a large mirror, and a jacuzzi beside a large walk in shower that could probably fit at least four people. The floor was a light brown tile.
Next I looked at the bedrooms and quickly found which one out of the three were mine. It had light gray walls, a king size bed with soft bedsheets, a couch against the wall in the large room and I could see the entrance to a walk in closet behind the bed. There was a wall separating the bedroom and the closet behind the bed and there was a large window that also had a door to another balcony. There was a large flatscreen tv on the wall opposite the bed and I felt overwhelmed with surprise.
I knew Tommy was a model, but I had no idea he had this nice of an apartment. He must make a shit ton of money! Well, Remmy mentioned something about Tommy being in a few pornos. Maybe that’s another contributor.
I went back to the living room where they were and he smiled when he saw me.
“How do you like the place?,” he asked.
“It’s amazing! I don’t know how I can pay you back though,” I admitted and ran my fingers through my hair.
“Don’t worry about it. I don’t have any kind of financial issues and you are basically family. Just keep the place clean and no parties. That’s all I ask,” he smiled and I sighed in relief. “I have a photoshoot later, so I need to leave soon. I’m sorry I can’t help you move in.”
“It’s alright,” I said with a smile and as we began bringing my things inside and into my room. He left not long after we finished talking and Remmy helped me unpack my things.
Afterwards, we spent the rest of the night playing video games and watching movies. We talked a lot too and fell asleep in my room after cleaning up our mess in the living room.
Wow, what an interesting day it was today.
