"These ungrateful wretches! I'm not even gone yet, and they're already looking for their next opportunity." Rex fiercely slammed his hand onto the table.

Although he was infuriated, he knew he still needed to find a way to prevent the situation from worsening. If all his subordinates were to flee, the Buckley family would be left powerless.

Rex took some pills, which slightly improved his injuries. Only then did he change into a fresh set of clothes and head straight to Everett Manor.

The mansions of the Three Beast Generals were not far apart. It only took a mere ten minutes or so to reach.

Cian was seated in the living room, leisurely enjoying his fruit.

After Rex returned from the outskirts, Cian was informed. He also came to know that Rex had been injured by Jared.

"Cian, I've come to share a couple of drinks with you..."

At that moment, Rex's voice echoed. He then strode into the living room.

Trailing behind Rex was a beautiful young lady, her expression tinged with fear.

Cian feigned ignorance as he asked, "Rex, what brings you here? Weren't you busy collecting celestial crystals?"

"Some time ago, you expressed an interest in a young maid at my mansion, didn't you? I was too engrossed in my own diversions back then to give her to you. I'm done playing now, so I brought her over to you," Rex said with a smile, then turned to the young lady behind him. "What are you waiting for? Remember to take good care of him and serve him well."

"Yes, sir," the young lady responded before she made her way toward Cian. Cian let out a cold chuckle, then waved his hand.

A surge of spiritual energy suddenly struck the young lady, sending her flying. She landed harshly on the ground, coughing up blood before she died.

"I'm not interested in the things you've discarded." Cian snorted.

To them, these servants were as insignificant as dust, so they killed them without any psychological burden whatsoever.

Rex merely glanced at her, showing no signs of anger. Instead, he smiled and said, "I'll find you someone better next time.'

"Rex, you're unusually reasonable today. Are you perhaps in need of a favor?" Cian asked, a playful undertone in his voice.

"Of course not, I just have a few things I want to discuss with you!"

Rex would never voluntarily ask Cian for a favor. He knew well, given Cian's temperament, he would undoubtedly be in for a rough time.

"Oh, what is it?"

"You're already aware that I've been steadily acquiring celestial crystals. Apart from the portion I've sent to the city lord mansion, I've kept the rest. After all these celestial crystals aren't particularly useful for our current cultivation level. However, have connections that allow me to sell them at a high price.
