A Man Like None Other (Jared Chance)

Chapter 4658 Evenly Matched

Outside Beast City, at the celestial crystal vein mine, Jaime and his men had arrived at the location and set up layers of guards around the mine. Anyone who approached would immediately be noticed.

As Jaime gazed at the glowing celestial crystals within the mine, his eyes were filled with excitement. "We've struck gold! We've struck gold! Hahaha... Let's see how Rex dares to fight me over this now!" Jaime couldn't hold back his excitement and broke into wild laughter.

"General Jaime, let's not celebrate too early. I'm sure the Buckley family has already sent people here. For now, we need to devise a strategy to counter them," Jared reminded Jaime.

"You're right. We must keep Rex out of this place. If he takes over the celestial crystal vein mine, the entire Beast City will be his," Jaime said with a nod.

"General Jaime, how does your strength compare to Rex's?" Jared asked.

"We're evenly matched. It's hard to determine which of us is stronger," Jaime replied.

"In that case, General Jaime, you should lead the men to guard the mine. I'll take a team and start mining.

If we work fast enough, we might deplete this vein mine in just a few days," Jared said as he surveyed the surroundings.

This celestial crystal vein mine wasn't large. Larger mines had long been exploited. Only smaller ones like this could remain hidden for years before being discovered.

"Sure!" Jaime nodded and turned to Claude. "Claude, take a team and assist Jared with the mining. No matter what happens outside, focus solely on extracting the celestial crystals."

"Understood!" Claude nodded.

With the arrangements made, Jared led Claude and the others to begin mining, while Jaime took his men to guard the mountain to prevent a surprise attack from Rex.

Just as Jaime finished organizing everything, the entire mountain began to tremble slightly.

Soon, hundreds of people marched toward them. Leading them was none other than Rex.

Seeing this, Jaime immediately ordered his men to prepare for battle.

Rex reached the top of the mountain and stopped. He coldly stared at Jaime, his eyes brimming with murderous intent.

"Jaime, what are you doing here?" Rex asked, feigning ignorance.

Seeing through Rex's act, Rex was instantly infuriated and snapped, "I'll do whatever the h*ll I want. What's it to you?"

"Is this mountain yours? What are you doing here?"

Jaime's retort left Rex momentarily stunned before his rage erupted.

"Jaime, were you raised on filth? Let me tell you, there's a celestial crystal vein mine here, and it was my son who discovered it. Now, my son has been murdered, and I heard it was by one of your foreign officials. suggest you hand over the culprit and leave this place immediately. Otherwise, don't blame me for what happens next!"

Rex's voice boomed like a thunderclap, carrying for miles.

Jaime's lips curled into a cold sneer. His eyes were filled with disdain and mockery as if ridiculing Rex's arrogance and ignorance.

"Rex, your son lacked skill and

ability. His death was his own doing. My foreign official is not to be judged by the likes of you! As for the celestial crystal vein mine, it belongs to those fated to possess it. Do you think I am some kind of pushover to be manipulated at will?"

Jaime showed no fear of Rex.

Rex's face turned livid with rage. His beard bristled, and his eyes bulged with fury, like a lion about to eruptin a violent outburst. The killing intent radiating from him was enough to send chills down anyone's spine.

"Jaime, you're digging your own grave! If you don't give me a satisfactory explanation today, you won't

leave this place alive! I'll make you understand the price of offending the Buckley family!"

Rex's aura exploded, instantly enveloping the entire mountain with a terrifying pressure.
