A Man Like None Other (Jared Chance)

"Now, it's your turn. Do you know the type of person I despise the most in my life?"

Jared cast a frosty gaze toward Billy.

At that moment, Jared was already consumed by anger. He had initially placed a great deal of trust in Billy, even thinking of lending him a hand by giving him an opportunity.

To his surprise, Billy took his good intentions for granted and betrayed him.

Billy dared not meet Jared's eyes. Evasively shifting his gaze, he answered, "I-I don't know..."

"I despise those who betray me the most. Anyone who betrays me, there's only one outcome for them, and that is death..."

As soon as those words fell, an overwhelming aura of terror enveloped Billy directly.

Billy was startled, and his body gave a slight shudder. He then retreated two steps.

However, with Teegan and Riehl by his side, Billy could only brace himself and retort, "Stop bragging! With Mr. Teegan and Mr. Rundacel here, there's no way you can kill me. They wouldn't possibly stand by and do nothing. If you dare to lay a finger, you'll be the one who's doomed!"

"Hmph!" Jared snorted disdainfully, his eyes filled with contempt. He never considered Teegan and Riehl as a threat.

"Both of you, get lost!" Jared said to Teegan and Riehl.

The two exchanged a glance. Afterward, Teegan's eyes narrowed slightly as he said, "Brat, Billy is now an associate of the Buckley family. I won't allow you to harm him. I don't care if you're a foreign official of Jaime or not. If you truly upset me, you won't be able to bear the consequences. You killed Niel, but we can put that aside. All I ask is for you to surrender that celestial crystal vein mine to me. In return, I'll allow you and these three individuals to leave unharmed. From then on, we'll not interfere with one another."

In truth, Teegan didn't have much confidence. Ever since Jared had effortlessly escaped from the Devouring Sky Gourd, Teegan had lost all trust in Riehl's abilities.

He had sparred with Jared before, and it was clear he was no match for Jared. Since Jared had advanced to Ultimate Realm, if a fight were to break out, it seemed that even their combined efforts wouldn't stand much of a chance.

However, if Teegan simply gave up on Billy and then turned tail to run, it would destroy his reputation.

If word of that got out, no one would ever want to align themselves with the Buckley family in the future.

Hence, Teegan wanted to intimidate Jared a bit, hoping that he could successfully scare Jared off.

Upon hearing Teegan's words, Jared burst into laughter.

"What's the matter? Are you scared?" Jared asked with a smile.

Jared knew, given Teegan's

character of a pampered son, he would never utter such words if he

was confident of victory. He probably sees himself dying a pathetic death. Otherwise, he wouldn't have said the word about not interfering with one another! Clearly, Teegan lacks the confidence to defeat me! That's why he said those words!

Maintaining a facade of calm, Teegan let out a cold, mocking laugh and said, "What a joke! What do I have to fear? With my capabilities and Mr Rundacel's help, we can certainly defeat you, someone in Ultimate Realm Level One. I'm merely offering you a chance. If you don't want it, don't blame me for

being merciless!"

"In my eyes, the two of you are worth nothing. In fact, even if there were three of you, I'd still look down on you!"

There was a tone of mockery and disdain in Jared's voice.

That tone of voice immediately infuriated Teegan.

As the son of the Buckley family, he couldn't possibly endure such humiliation.

A gentleman preferred death to humiliation, so Teegan said, "Billy, Mr. Rundacel, we three must join forces today to take down this arrogant brat. He's far too cocky. I can't stand it anymore..." Teegan had also called on Billy. After all, an extra person meant extra strength.

"All right!"

Billy and Riehl nodded in response.

"Mr. Chance, let me assist you..." Gordon stepped forward, positioning himself next to Jared.

Gordon had broken through the

constraints of his spiritual energy, and although his strength hadn't

fully recovered, he couldn't just

stand by and watch Jared fightnet

against three people all by himself.

"You should go protect Mia and Elena instead. I can handle these three troublemakers on my own!"

Jared asked Gordon to step back.
