A Kiss For Your Freedom

Chapter 92

He growls regardless of the noise he makes and lets go of her neck as she falls back on top of me, trembling. I let my han slide from her chest to her waist and find those of Dorian who is clutching her. Our fingers intertwine on her as she move speeding up slightly, moaning louder.

Dorian speeds up in turn, even allows himself to slap his buttocks, making me groan in turn. Emma grips the sheets and lets out a cry of pleasure as the o****m washes over her. I feel her tighten around me, before letting me go too, quickly followed by Dorian who leans on her, breathing heavily.

Emma drops down next to me, Dorian almost falls while trying to do the same, which makes all three of us laugh out louc We really needed this, to find ourselves. I hug them as tight as I can. I don't care what this doctor says, it's time for me to get out of here and most importantly, it's time for us to go home and get on with our lives.

Emma's POV

They're both just awesome. While I was sinking, while I was lost in heartbreaking pain, they managed to make me forget everything in the space of just a few minutes. That's also why I love them so much, they know me better than anyone, better than myself at times.

I smile as we lie partly naked in this bed. If a nurse came in now, she would probably come out redder than she has ever been, but that doesn't bother me. I love them and I don't care that someone could hear us, that they could know that we had just made love, here, in this hospital.

jason won't be around much longer. He has reached these limits. Patience has never been his thing and even more so wh he is forced to lie still. We end up getting dressed after a few minutes before sitting down next to them.

If we don’t want to be stuck in town for the winter, we should leave quickly, Jason says, looking at us in turn.

- I agree, replies Dorian. We have only been gone a few days but already the road must be much more crowded than on t way there.

“The doctor said you need a few more days,” I said softly.

~ I prefer that we go back and that you take care of me at home.

I smile in response. He knows that we will do everything to get him back on his feet as quickly as possible and that we wi take great care of him.

- Let's call the doctor to send you out, says Dorian, leaning over him before kissing him.

Very good idea my heart,

- In that case, I'll go get him, I said, getting out of bed.

I won't forget what happened. My sister's reaction to me, her burning desire to harm me before I ended her life. I can nev forget having his blood on my hands, but I know that once we return, it will only become a distant memory. From now on, no one will be able to attack us, no one will have any reason to do so.

We are finally free, for the first time in years, we are free to continue the life that the three of us fought for. Our children will no longer be in danger, they will be able to grow up without fear of being chased. I find the doctor at the bend of a corridor. He recognizes me immediately and when I express Jason's wish to leave the hospital, he grimaces before sighing - Itwould be better if he waited a little longer.

- Probably indeed, but we are not used to living like this. We love the great outdoors and I guarantee that we will follow your instructions. But if we wait any longer, we'll be stuck here all winter and none of us could stand that.

~ 1 will prepare the papers and instructions for this treatment.

- Thank you Doctor.

When I return to them, I find them lying together. I love seeing them like this, so close and so tender. I can't help but smil before approaching before telling them,

~ Everything is settled with the doctor. He prepares the discharge and a care sheet, then we can leave.

~ Thank you love, said Jason, offering me a hand which I grabbed.

I must say that even if I am happy to have seen Melissa again, I only want to go home, to our house and find the calm of our nature, of our forest, of our little corner of paradise ours. Less than an hour later, the doctor arrives with the papers. jason signs the release and it is with great relief and barely contained pleasure that we help him get out, to leave this pla to get him into the car.

Dorian drives slowly while regularly checking his rearview mirror to make sure Jason is okay and when we arrive at Melissa's house, the children explode with joy when they see all three of us. We have to contain them so that they don't hurt their father but their smiles warm our hearts and although the look of my best friend probes me, nothing will be abl to break this pleasure of finally being all reunited.

We help Jason get into the chair. Dorian and I divide up the tasks, he goes to get the medicine from the pharmacy while I start to collect the little ones’ things.

- So you're leaving again, Melissa said to me without hiding her sadness.

~ I wish we could have had more time, I said before giving him back his firearm. But at home, the snow quickly blocks the only access road to our house. If we wait too long, we'll be stuck for the winter and we can't afford that.

She sighs heavily before continuing.

- I thought we would have at least one evening, a moment, just for us.

- We won't leave until tomorrow morning, this evening, you and I, we can enjoy our evening. I'm sorry, I wish it had been different miss, but I have no choice, I have to think of my family first.

~ I know, I understand why you have to go back, 1 admit that 'm a little selfish but I've missed you so much these last few years.

- Now that we are safe and we no longer fear anything, I will give you our address. As I told you, we are blocked througho the winter but as soon as the snow starts to melt, you can come see us as often as you wish and 1 will come back too. I promise you.

- Sworn?

~ juror Melissa. I won't forget you or everything you've done for all of us.

- OK, I agree, she said with a hint of a smile.

I finish gathering the kids’ things before joining them and Jason. Dorian returns a good hour later, his arms loaded with bandages and medicine. The rest of the day passes peacefully. Although we are all in a hurry to get home, the prospect o one last evening with Melissa makes us smile and I must admit that I do not intend to deprive myself of this little pleasu Melissa orders pizzas for the evening, to the great pleasure of the children and once the delivery man arrives, she opens: good bottle from which she gives us a glass.

The evening is pleasant, we talk, laugh, make up for lost time by talking about our lives, everything we have experienced recent years. I had almost forgotten how good it felt to spend an evening with her, to have a pleasant moment that won't be the last.

After putting the children to bed, we stay together for a long time and finally, it's only when Jason begins to fall asleep th the evening comes to an end. Tomorrow we will have to take the road again, it will be long and dangerous but I have confidence, I know that we will manage to return even if it takes time.

We £0 to bed enjoying the three of us against each other and I quickly fall asleep, surrounded by their warmth.

Dorian’s POV

We wake up early. We all want to hit the road as soon as possible. Emma will prepare the children while Melissa, who is already up, takes care of breakfast and makes us sandwiches for the road. I can see that she is sad to see us leave, but w are just waiting for that, to get back to our lives, to take care of Jason at home, in our home.

I load the car while keeping the rear seats reclined to install Jason. I know it won't be really comfortable for Emma and th kids, but that's secondary, we want to go home so much that it doesn't matter.

The sun is just starting to rise when we find ourselves on his doorstep. Emma hugs her, thanking her again and making he promise to come see us as soon as winter is over. The goodbyes are a bit long but I can't blame them, Melissa did so muc for us that she really deserves a medal. And finally, when we get in the car, I see them waving at each other through the window as I slowly drive off.

Melissa is in the back next to Jason while Julien is on Emma's lap. Leaving the city is quite quick but as for the outward journey, as soon as we enter more remote areas, we are forced to slow down, to drive at walking pace in order to be sure arriving in one piece.

We have to take several breaks so that the children can stretch their legs a little at times and we only arrive at the end of the day. Aware that there is still a body in our house, we leave the children in the car while Emma and I go inside to sort out.

Fortunately, the cold kept his body that I quickly left the house while Emma did everything to erase the traces of blood. I taking the body into the forest, I'll deal with it Later, for now the priority is to heat the house and get everyone in.

Even if there is chaos inside, as soon as the fireplace is lit, we will bring everyone inside and place them in front of the fir so that they can warm up. Meanwhile, Emma and I try to put the house in order, repositioning the furniture even though some of it is unusable. I would do more, it doesn't matter. I already feel better just being here, just like the rest of our family and that is priceless.
