Logan's voice yelling at the puppies in training makes me smile, a bit of a sadistic smile if 'm honest, but hey, I can't be blamed for anything, in the end, I'm still the same person I always was.

Maybe now I had a mate who drove me crazy, with his jealousy and looks, his words that sweetened my ears or his kisses that paralysed me. But that didn't change who I was in essence, an Alpha, a warrior, a survivor.

As if summoned by my thoughts, Jason appears at the edge of the training ring with the twins in his arms. Without thinkir I gave the mental command to my reestablished Beta to continue training without me, and my feet carried me to my family's side.

At first it was very difficult to find a routine, the Silver Moon members looked to me for directions and the Golden Moon members looked to Jason. The heat rises in my face at Jason's words, it's amazing the effect he has on me even after all this time.

I reply sincerely, Jason smiles at me, and his smile reaches stratospheric levels as our babies catch our attention with the whimpers, a spark of sadness flashes in his eyes and he doesn't have to tell me anything to know what's going through hi mind. Well I know it's about her missing son, even after our best efforts we haven't been able to find the Blacks, not even clue as to the whereabouts of her ex-lover and her son.

I know that every time he sees the twins he wonders about that missing puppy, hell, even I wondered about him from tim to time, would he still be alive, would it have been a boy or a girl, how would they be treating him?

He would never admit to me the frustration he has with himself for not protecting them, and that in his heart he loves th unknown baby. Yet he is always there for me with a smile, and he loves our babies with unwavering pride.

We were all surprised that they were on the way, as I had only been Jason's partner officially for two months when we found out the news. And when twins were born it was simply wonderful. As if Selene herself had compensated Jason for t loss of one child by giving him two.

I say in a syrupy tone, and it doesn't take Jason long to pull Julian from my arms and run off in search of one of the aforementioned, and I follow him, laughing at his desperation.

Much calmer than him, I hurriedly make my way to the mansion, stopping briefly on the way to check that everything is in order.

jason stands in the doorway without the babies, probably having left them with Dannia. He doesn't let me take a single step into our home before he eagerly scoops me into his arms and hurries us into the bedroom. I can't help myself and laugh harder. Jason lays me down on the bed and kisses me, all laughter ceasing.

He says with intensity.

I say into his lips before we are overcome with passion. And forget about the whole world for a few minutes.

I was grateful to all the gods to have him by my side. And there was no force on this Earth capable of separating me from his side.

I would burn the whole world for them.

And as Jason rushed to take off our clothes I knew that we both gave what we had never dared to do for each other.

I nearly died for him, and Jason dared to live again for me.

We were two halves that complemented each other perfectly.

I could never finish saying how grateful I was to him that he would get drunk and defy our Goddess, for that had set in motion all the events we lived through to end up at this point.

After almost a thousand years of existence, I finally felt part of a whole, and I owed it all to my beloved Golden Alpha and his Golden pack.
