A Bride’s Revenge No Longer the Backup

Chapter 328

Chapter 328 Chapter

Ariana had bumped into Brennan once at the college when he was In a hurry and barely got a look at him. She assumed he was just stopping by to see Evelyn before going back overseas to pursue his acting career.

But now it seemed Brennan planned to stay in the country.

That was bad news. He was deeply devoted to Evelyn and completely infatuated with her.

If he saw Ariana, who knew what he might do for Evelyn's sake?

Ariana had seen too many things like this.

She wanted to turn around and run. Her legs, though, refused to cooperate. She had barely made it down the stairs. Climbing back up would be even worse.

She could only hope Brennan wouldn't notice her. She kept her head down and walked toward the exit. Brennan was probably looking for Evelyn, so he didn't notice Ariana. That worked in her favor.

But just as Ariana thought she had escaped, a voice called out from behind her. "Excuse me."

Brennan's voice was pleasant. She could tell at once he was gentle.

Ariana stiffened. She turned her head and saw his face, half hidden by a black mask. She could only see

his deep, black eyes, which were already enough to make many women swoon.

Ariana pretended not to see him. She started walking again, but Brennan reached out and grabbed her

arm.

He touched one of her injuries, and the pain made her gasp. He hadn't expected such a big reaction. "I'm sorry. Are you okay?"

"I'm fine..."

She was definitely not fine.

Ariana's mind was racing. Why was Brennan stopping her?

Based on her past life, they should never have had any real interaction.

If Brennan was looking out for Evelyn, he should go find Brian. Why was he bothering her?

She silently cursed, but Brennan spoke again. "You have something on your back."

He pulled a sheet of paper from Ariana's back. On it, in big letters, it said, "I'm a bitch."

Ariana's face went dark when she read it. She didn't need to guess who did this. Obviously Julia's handiwork.

She failed to stir up trouble in the dean's office, so now she resorted to a childish prank instead.

"Are you alright?" Brennan's voice sounded concerned. He saw Ariana was covered in bruises and that someone had stuck a hateful sign on her. It was easy to guess she was being bullied.

He looked at her kindly, but Ariana saw it as a case of crocodile tears.

A naive girl might have believed him, but Ariana had lived a whole life. She knew who Brennan truly cared about. He would do anything for Evelyn.
