A BABY FOR HER BILLIONAIRE SUGAR DAD by Blaqueapple

Chapter 17

Chapter 17

After Marco nearly k*sses me senseless, he quietly puts the car in “drive” and speeds away from the curb, leaving me completely breathless and strangely pinning for him.

When he goes through a route different from that which leads to the club, I turn to him in confusion.

“I thought we were going back to your penthouse.”

His eyes remain firmly fixed on the road,

“We are going to my penthouse.” He confirms.

“But this is not the road that leads to it. You can’t get there using this route.”

His gaze shifts from the road to me for all of two seconds and I can already feel my panties go off in flames.

“We’re going to a different penthouse, cara mia.”

Oh.

I settle back into my sc at.

“Just how many penthouses do you own?”

He shrugs.

“I don’t know. I stopped counting after the eleventh one.”

Stunned, I remain quiet for a minute. It hasn’t fully dawned on me just how wealthy my future sugar daddy is. Everything still feels like a wild dream.

“How old are you again?” I ask, trying to get a tiny glimpse of the man who might be inside me in the next few hours.

I remember the feel of his thick co ck sliding against my throat and a tiny shiver runs through my entire frame.

“Forty five.”

He says it so simply, but his tone is anything but simple. It’s fierce..gruelling. He literally growls the word. “Will that be a problem?”

I chance a quick look at his profile and give his words a thought. Am I worried that this man is almost three decades older than me?

No. No, I’m not, and the thought alone scares me half to death. Apart from the little dusting of white hair on his temples, he looks as fit as a young go d with a S**ual appeal that could burn me to ashes without even trying.

Within minutes, we’re pulling into a private, gated estate. I stare out my side of the window in awe at the luxurious buildings we drive past. Gleaming glass and polished. marble wink from almost every square inch of the estate. It feels like stepping into a different world.

We arrive at an electronic, voice-operated gate and it swings open immediately Marco says his name. He drives through a long, tree lined driveway until the gleaming top of his penthouse comes into view.

When we finally go through the gleaming reception area and up the elevators, my eyes. are nearly drooping from exhaustion.

I have no idea how it happens. One minute I’m struggling to put one foot in front of the other and the next, I trip on the heavy carpets and a startled shriek escapes me as I fall to my doom.

The next thing I remember before I temporarily pass out is a strong arm wrapping around my waist. The first sight that greets me when I finally wake from my mini swoon are burning, sapphire blue eyes.

“What happened?” I whisper.

I try to sit up but Marco pushes gently at my shoulder, keeping me trapped against the

scitec.

“Are you okay?”

I shake

my head.

“I’m thirsty.” I croak.

“Hold on.”

He disappears for a while and reappears two minutes later with a glass of water. I sit up, murmur my thanks and take the glass from him.

I am halfway through the water when I feel his hot gaze burning holes into the side of my head. I finally risk a glance in his direction.

“What?” I whisper.

He’s about to speak when a muf fled sound comes from one of the numerous doors. leading to the rooms. Two seconds later, a beautiful, dark haired lady appears, dressed in a tiny red lingerie and nothing else.

I stare at her, shock evident and on my features. Lauretta. Marco’s ex wife. I would recognize those perfect patrician features anywhere.

Her eyes narrow to slits when she catches sight of me. The air in the room instantly becomes rife with tension.

“Marco? Who is she and what is she doing in our house?”

Marco gets to his feet slowly, his b*dy radiating dangerous heat.

“It is my house, Lauretta, and I should be asking you that question. What are you doing here this late?”

She shrugs.

“I live here.”

Wait. What?

Marco clenches his fingers into fists at his sides.

“You used to live here. The marriage is over. We’re over. Now, get out. How did you even get in here in the first place?”

She shoots me a disgusted glare.

“Marco, are you honestly chasing me away because of this two dimed sl ut?”

I begin to feel the stirrings of my own anger at her insult. She sashays in Marco’s. direction and stops just before him, running her slender hands over his shoulders.

“Marco, don’t you remember the good times? We used to be so good together.”

Something dark and bitter crawls up my throat, something I later realise is jealousy.

“You chose to ruin our good times when you brought another man into my house, Lauretta. Now, please leave. I hate repeating myself.”

I freeze, my mouth nearly hanging open in shock. Lauretta cheated on Marco?

Hey beautiful hazel eyes flash with rage.

“Well, what the hell was I supposed to do?!” She screams, her voice thick with unshed. tears. “You were gone half of the time and I was so lonely. You never really cared about. me. Now, I leave for two short days and you bring her in here? That’s just cruel!”

Marco’s eyes gradually morph from a sparkling blue to a dangerous black. He takes a step towards Lauretta and I get to my feet and flee the room, not interested in watching

whatever happens next.

“I warned you, Lauretta.” He growls.

I hear the muf fled sounds of struggling and Lauretta’s wanton screams.

“Let go of me! You can’t just bring prostitutes in here. Let go!”

Her words pierce through my imaginary thick skin and my heart twists with hurt at the sudden realisation that she’s right.

I am a wh ore. I am selling myself to a rich older man for money. Tears of dejection pr ick my eyes and I blink them away quickly.

I hear the ding of the elevator and the penthouse becomes silent once more, leaving me trapped with the grim reaper himself.

The glass in my hand trembles and my heartbeat accelerates as the clicks of his expensive shoes against the marble floors become louder and louder.

Finally, he comes to a pause at the kitchen doorway, spearing me with a gaze that singes my bloodstream.

“I’m not a wh ore.” I blurt.

His

eyes darken and he moves towards me, bringing his darkness with him.

“I never said you were, my pet.”

He comes closer, and closer. Suddenly, I cannot breathe.

“Why do you keep calling me these names? It kinda makes it hard to remember that you hate me.”

“And who says I hate you, cara Mia. For all I know, you’re mine. I will call you any name I da mn well please.”

His aggressive arrogance should be annoying, stifling even, but my already slick core clenches and unclenches whenever he displays that savage authority I claim to hate so

much.

He’s going to touch me. I just know it..and I don’t think I might survive it. With every step he takes towards me, I take a corresponding one back. My pulse thunders with panic when my back comes up against the unyielding kitchen wall.

Trapped.

My fingers tighten around the glass.

“D-don’t come any closer.” I stutter..

His face is a hard, dark mask.

“I will do whatever I want, princess.”

When he’s almost within touching distance, I do the only sane thing that comes to mind.

I run.
