300 Days With The Alpha Beta Triplets

Chapter FACING RADOLF

THIRD PERSON POV:

Bella's spirit wandered aimlessly, her bare feet touching nothing but mist and shadow. The world around her was colorless-a sea of gray stretching infinitely in all directions. There was no up, no down, just an endless void that pulsed with her heartbeat, faint and unsteady.

"Where am I?" she whispered as a chill ran up her spine.

It was cold here. She looked down at herself, seeing her missing arm somehow restored. She touched it in confusion.

"What the hell? What is going on?" she asked aloud, but there was no one to answer her questions.

Then she noticed it. A faint, flickering golden glow ahead. It pulsed like a beacon in the dark, and though her instincts screamed for her to run, but she couldn't stop herself from moving toward it. She was curious to find out what was going on, and she wondered if this was what it felt like to be dead.

As she got closer, the glow grew brighter, and soon the mist thinned to reveal something that made her blood run cold. It was him.

Radolf Clawmark stood tall. An unnatural light that seemed to come from nowhere illuminated his sharp, chiseled features. His piercing golden eyes locked onto hers.

Bella took an instinctive step back. "Where are we?" she demanded, her voice echoing faintly through the void. Radolf smirked, spreading his arms as if to display their surroundings. "Welcome to your mind, little hybrid. Or should I say, our mind now."

Bella's stomach turned. She glanced around at the infinite black expanse. It wasn't real, but it felt real. "So you are in my head?" she raised a brow, and Radolf smirked, shaking his head.

"I am in your body, and we are speaking soul to soul."

Bella swallowed hard, touching her body. She couldn't believe she was in her spirit form because it didn't feel any different.

"Oh, do not be surprised, child. After all, we are all spirits, and soon we will leave our bodies to meet with the Moon Goddess."

"But you are immortal, so you cannot die," she said, and the smirk on his face remained. "Correct, child."

Something about him felt off to Bella, and she couldn't tell if he was supposed to save or kill her from the way he stared at her.

"Well, this conversation has gone on for a while, and I do not have time to waste," he said, and Bella's face etched into a frown.

"What do you mean?" she questioned. "You are supposed to save us all from Enzo, so where are you going? He is on his way to achieve immortality, and..."

"It is your job to stop him, not mine!" Radolf gritted his teeth, and Bella's mouth shut at once.

"The universe chose you, and yet you bank on your emotions. Take a look at all the damage you have caused because you cannot keep your emotions in check." Radolf spread both arms, and Bella's eyes opened to the chaos around the entire Moonfire. The war was worse than she imagined. Houses had been razed down-everywhere was on fire. Seeing the destruction made her feel terrible.

"There you I have it still. Emotions. You are showing emotions." Radolf clicked his tongue, shaking his head.

"You were made stronger than this, but you act weak."

"Then tell me what I must do," Bella said, giving off a bow. "How did you defeat Enzo the first time? No matter how tough I try to sound, he scares me," Bella said with her head bowed, and Radolf chuckled.

"I defeated Enzo without fear. He was about fifty years older than I was. So he was a fifty-year-old vampire, and I was just a nineteen-year-old boy, and a hybrid. A prophecy similar to yours spread across town about the birth of a hybrid who would overthrow him and put an end to his reign. When he heard it, he ordered the killing of all hybrids, but my parents hid me as a baby, and I was raised in the human world until it was ready to take on my destiny. I returned to Moonfire and led an army that ended his reign of terror." When he said this, he walked closer to Bella.

"That was what I expected from you. You had all the tools, and the more I roamed the earth as a spirit with my body locked up, I was disappointed. That is why I have come to put an end to you."

Bella's eyes widened at his last statement. Then he glared at her with his brows drawn down.

"So what is it going to be?" he asked, positioning his stance for a fight. "Hand me your soul easily, or fight until your death, but I believe you have already lost."

Bella's fists clenched at her sides, her anger rising to mask the unease crawling up her spine.

"I'm not yours, Radolf. This body, this mind-it's mine, and I am willing to fight to my death, you parasite."

Radolf's smirk faltered slightly, his eyes narrowing as a flicker of irritation crossed his face.

"A parasite? Is that what you think I am?" he took a step closer. "Let me remind you, girl, that you were dying from your lack of faith. If not for me, you would have been the same as the dust in the ground."

Bella knew this was true, but that didn't give him the audacity to call her weak, and it made her angry.

"I didn't ask for your help!" Bella shouted back, standing her ground. "I'd rather die than let you control me. So yes, you are a parasite, and not a savior."

A chuckle escaped Radolf's lips as he cracked his neck. Radolf barked out a cruel laugh.

"How noble. But let me tell you something, hybrid, you are in my way, and nothing stands in the way of Radolf and survives."

As he said this, he lunged at her before she could process what was going on. He jabbed a finger toward her chest without even touching her.

"This body is a shell. My blood flows through it, and it is powering it. You can scream, fight, or cry all you want, but you won't win."

His words drove deeper into her, and she wondered how it hurt so much if she was truly just in her soul form. She still felt human, and she was back in that position of feeling worthless and incapable of doing anything right.

She tried to channel her emotions to one thing-anger. As she stared at him, her jaw tightened.

"You don't know me," she hissed. "I'll fight you with everything I've got. You may think you own me, but I swear, I'll burn you out of here if it's the last thing I do."

Radolf smiled, slow and sinister. "Then let the games begin, little hybrid, because if my words hurt you this much, then just know that I am just getting started."

Bella barely had time to brace herself before Radolf lunged at her. He moved like a shadow-fast, fluid, and merciless. One second he was several feet away, and the next, his fist slammed into her gut with bone-crushing force.

Bella let out a strangled gasp as pain exploded through her torso, knocking her backward. Her spirit-or whatever form she was in-felt the impact as if she were still flesh and blood. She stumbled, clutching her stomach, but Radolf didn't let up.

"Is this all the chosen one has to offer?" he sneered, circling her like a predator. His golden eyes glowed with a cruel light as he tilted his head mockingly. "Pathetic."

Bella's vision blurred with anger and pain, but she stood tall. "I'm not done yet," she said, rushing at him. Radolf's smirk widened. "Good. Show me something worth my time."

With a scream of rage, Bella charged at him. She threw a punch aimed at his jaw, putting every ounce of her fury behind it, but Radolf sidestepped easily. Before she could recover, he caught her wrist mid-swing.

"Too slow," he mocked, slamming his palm into her chest.

The force sent her sprawling across the gray void, tumbling until she hit nothingness with a hard thud. A sharp, burning pain spread through her chest, and for a moment, she lay there gasping for breath.

"Is this all you have?" Radolf's voice echoed around her. He approached slowly. "You think anger makes you strong? It makes you reckless, child. All emotions make you reckless!"

Bella forced herself to sit up, glaring at him through strands of tangled hair. "Shut up."

Radolf didn't stop.

"You rely on rage because you're weak-because deep down, you know you'll never be enough."

"SHUT UP!" Bella pushed herself to her feet, her body shaking with pain and frustration.

Radolf raised a brow. "Ah, finally. You're waking up."

Bella roared as she lunged again, channeling her energy into her attack. This time, her fist connected with him. It clipped his jaw, causing Radolf's head to turn slightly to the right.

For a split second, Bella felt a spark of hope. But then Radolf laughed. "Is that it?" he taunted, his eyes alight with a wicked glee. Before Bella could react, he struck her.

Radolf's fist smashed into her side like a bat, sending her crashing to the ground once more. She lay there, coughing and struggling to move, her strength draining like sand slipping through her fingers.

"Stand up!" Radolf barked in a thunderous voice. "Fight like the chosen one-or die like the disappointment you are."
