Chapter Epilogue Calix
I held my mate strong in my arms as she screamed, sweat and tears pouring down her face. I felt her pain pounding inside my chest and I prayed that it would soon be over.
“One more big push, your highness, you can do it!” Dr. Monroe chanted and River screamed, pushing back into my chest as she bore down for another contraction.
Then, the most beautiful sound on the planet rang through the room. The sweet, shrill cries of our newborn baby. River collapsed against me, her eyes glued to Dr. Monroe as she wiped off our baby.
“Calix?” She looked at me with panic.
“How is our baby, Dr. Monroe?” I asked.
“You have a perfectly healthy baby girl.” Dr. Monore smiled proudly before settling the plump pink baby down on her mother’s chest.
“Princess Astoria, the first dragon, werewolf hybrid.” I announced, looking adoringly over my daughter and wife.
“She’s beautiful, Calix.” River cried.
I kissed her forehead,
“Just like her mother.”
“And just like the world we’re creating for her.” River added, looking up at me with her icey doe eyes.
“You changed my world, River Dragonblood, and now you’re changing everyone else’s. Aren’t we the luckiest people alive, Astoria? To have a woman like your mommy in our lives.” I smiled at my baby.
I kissed Astoria’s faint strawberry colored hair and rubbed her tiny hand. She wrapped her fingers around one of mine and held on. And from that moment on, just like her tiny hand, my baby girl was wrapped around my finger, just like her mother.
When a dragon King falls in love with a werewolf princess, a fire and ice romance of epic proportions will change the fate of not only their world, but all words, for centuries to come. One thing was for sure, everything was going to change now that the dragons were free.
