Chapter 176
Natalie shuddered involuntarily. She hadn't pored over every word when she
signed that agreement. She'd merely skimmed through the clauses,
“Clause three is crystal clear. If you've had any intimate contact with another
man, I'll hurt him.” he said, his fingertips tracing gentle circles on Natalie's back
as if she were an unparalleled
treasure.
Perhaps his punishments had been too lenient, and Natalie kept making the
same mistakes. So, he decided to show her what would happen when she truly
pissed him off. He had a thousand ways to make her obey.
Natalie lay there, listening to his icy words behind her ear, lips pressed tightly
shut, silent.
In this unequal agreement, he had merely set boundaries for her.
After Brian applied the ointment, his right hand moved forward, capturing her
wrist as he leaned in close and whispered, “Natalie, I've told you that you must
be completely mine for this year.”
With that, his cold lips brushed against the shell of her ear, trailing downwards.
Natalie’s mind, however, was clearer than ever.
Suddenly, Natalie spoke, “Brian, you know what? Every touch from you repulses
me beyond measure. Even sharing a room with you suffocates me to the point I
can't breathe.”
Each word came with a distinct loathing that was indescribable.
Brian froze. A few seconds later, his eyes, filled with anger, met Natalie's gaze.
After a moment, he let her go.
“So, you fancy Kellan that much,” he murmured, eyes narrowing.
Fancy him enough to have accepted Kellan’s proposal and his ring.
“It has nothing to do with Kellan,” Natalie replied without hesitation, her voice low.
“Mr. Howard, what happens between you and me is private and doesn't involve
anyone else.”
She addressed him formally as Mr. Howard, which forced a bitter laugh from
Brian.
“Fine,” he said, a dangerous glint in his eye.
She had pushed him to this.
When they deplaned, Reid was already waiting outside the airport, his face pale
at the sight of Natalie and Brian emerging together.
Natalie's trip had gone unnoticed by him. He had even thought she might still be
in the country, given that she had mentioned feeling unwell three days prior and
had wanted to rest at Prestige Penthouses, asking him not to disturb her. So, he
didn’t.

Chapter 176
Little did he know that Natalie had traveled to Sterlina!
“Head back to the base. Your transfer order has been sent to the Morales family.”
Brian said, glancing at him.
“Mr. Howard...” Reid stuttered, his face turning even paler.
Reid was initially a police officer under Herbert. Impressed by his work, Herbert
had personally requested Reid to be by his side. After Brian left the family,
Herbert assigned Reid to protect Brian.
Reid had been by Brian's side for many years, and a sense of loyalty had grown,
bolstered by Brian's fair treatment. Reid was devoted to Brian through and
through.
