Chapter hand 525
Chapter 0525
“My dad owns properties–countless properties! He’s the one who kicks people out, and no one dares to evict him!” Madison fumed.
She continued, “Owning things yourself is the only way to have real power! The college lends us a crummy room, no CPRT, and incomplete fire equipment!
“We work ourselves to death producing academic results, only for the college to take all the credit? Is there such a sweet deal in the world? Ugh, what nonsense!”
Being the daughter of a landlord, Madison had never been treated so unfairly.
“Does the college think they’re all that? It’s just a broken–down room, and we bought all the equipment ourselves!”
Madison’s temper flared up, and she couldn’t hold back, Her words flew out so fast that spit sprayed everywhere, leaving Sebastian and Miranda stunned with their mouths wide open.
“Uh… I didn’t scare you, did I?” Madison’s round face quickly flushed with embarrassment, and she hurriedly explained, “I’m not usually like this, really. I just lose control when I get angry… Ahem!”
Sebastian swallowed hard, utterly speechless.
But Miranda’s eyes lit up, and she couldn’t help but nod. “Madison said exactly what I’ve been thinking! As long as the lab still belongs to the college and we’re only borrowing it, we’ll never have control.”
The college could take it back whenever they wanted, find excuses to cause trouble, or lend it to another group at will.
They were just meat on the chopping block, forced to lie down and take it.
*Then… should we stop borrowing from the college?” Madison cautiously suggested.
Miranda nodded.
Sebastian asked, “Then where do we borrow from?”
Miranda replied, “Why borrow? Like Madison had just said, why don’t we build one ourselves?’
Build one?
Sebastian was completely dumbfounded.
Madison froze for a second, then leaped off the couch in excitement. “Yes! We can build one! That’s brilliant!”
A lab of their own, where they wouldn’t have to worry about losing it or being targeted by petty people.
Miranda added, “I’ve looked into it. There’s nothing in the college regulations or the Faculty of Bioinformatics rules that says students can’t create an independent lab. As long as we follow the proper procedures and meet the qualifications, it’s fine.”
Madison immediately raised her hand, “I can fund it! How much do we need? Five million? Ten?”
Sebastian was dumbfounded. Did they even hear the words coming from their mouth?

Miranda thought for a moment and said, “I can contribute money too, plus.. a plot of land.”
Madison and Sebastian were utterly dumbfounded.
“Miranda, you have land?” Madison asked.
“Yes,” Miranda smiled. “No. 72, Easternia, lots 3-5, currently undeveloped.”
Even Madison, who came from a wealthy family, couldn’t help but gulp.
Land… Not just a house, and not a shop, but land! They could build anything on it!
“Miranda, how many more surprises are you hiding from us?”
Miranda laughed. “Now that we’ve got the money and land sorted, there’s only one last hurdle.”
“What’s that?”
“Approvat.”
They couldn’t just build a lab whenever they wanted, especially not a bio–lab like theirs.
Microorganisms, especially viruses, pose bio–safety risks. The experimental process might involve large amounts of organic solvents, raising environmental concerns.
If it involved radioactive material research, there were national regulations to follow. In short, the approvals and paperwork would be the hardest part!
If even a small issue cropped up, the process could be delayed for a year or more. Forget building a lab- by the time they got permission, they could have grown several crops of vegetables on the land.
Madison remarked, “You’d need connections with the relevant departments for this, right?”
Miranda nodded.
“Uh…” Sebastian, who had been silent until now, finally spoke up. “Maybe I can give it a try.”
