Just then, Edmond rushed into Finley's office, but when he saw Finley sitting on top of Noah, pinning him to the ground, he immediately swallowed the rest of his words.

Finley, noticing his assistant had stopped mid-sentence, tossed Noah aside like he was nothing more than trash. He walked over to Edmond, his tone sharp. "What were you saying? What happened to Samantha?" Edmond fumbled nervously. "Well, Mrs. Dean..."

"What happened to her?"

Finley grabbed him by the arm, his voice filled with urgency. "I'm asking you! What happened to Samantha?"

"Mrs. Dean was downstairs a moment ago. She ran into a thief, and... she went after him alone."

Einley's expression darkened with anger. "Why didn't you chase after him for her?"

"She was too fast! I couldn't keep up. Plus, I had to get up here to tell you right away."

"Useless!" Finley snapped, shoving him aside before storming out of the office.

As soon as Finley was gone, Noah scrambled to his feet and darted out of the office in a hurry, accidentally bumping into Edmond on his way out.

Edmond blinked, trying to process what he'd just witnessed. Wait... was Mr. Dean straddling Noah's waist just now? Oh, my goodness. Did I just stumble upon something I shouldn't have?

From where Edmond had been standing, all he could see was Finley's back, sitting on top of Noah. He hadn't noticed that Finley had been grabbing Noah by the throat. Naturally, Edmond jumped to the wrong conclusion. I can't imagine that Mr. Dean is that kind of person. This is terrifying. ""Stop right there!"

Samantha had just hung up from her call with Finley, planning to surprise him by visiting his office. But as fate would have it, the moment she arrived at the front entrance of his company, a thief snatched her purse right out of her hands. Furious, Samantha bolted after him.

The thief ran ahead while she chased after him.

He was panting, struggling to keep up his pace, but Samantha, determined and relentless, chased him without breaking a sweat. Glancing over his shoulder, the thief adjusted his cap and muttered to hir "What's with this woman? How can she run so fast? Has she lost her mind?"

Samantha lunged at the thief, tackling him to the ground with force. Pinning him down, she smirked. triumphantly. "I told you, you couldn't outrun me! Now, let's see who you are, you little thief. How dare you steal my purse?"

She reached out to pull off the thief's baseball cap, but he clung to it desperately, refusing to let go. In a panicked move, he shoved her purse back into her hands, pushed her aside roughly, and scrambled to his feet, disappearing into the crowd before she could react Samantha blinked. Well... he hid himself pretty well.

Picking up her bag from the ground, she winced at the sting of her scraped hand. "Ouch... Why was he so rough?"

"Sam!"

Hearing Finley's voice, Samantha turned to see him sprinting toward her, worry etched all over his face. The moment he noticed her injured arm, the concern in his eyes deepened.

"What happened to your arm? Who did this?"

Samantha opened her mouth, hesitating. "Uh..."

How am I supposed to explain this?

Feeling a little awkward, she blinked and cleared her throat. "I... I don't know."
