It's not every day that you get a sense of Deja Vu And most definitely, it's not every day that you get to see the frowning faces of the pack members who loved you so much.

I look at each and everyone, I watch them assess me and the people I came with. They made me feel like an outsider.

Was I an outsider now?

"How are you all doing?" I say politely but loudly, with my Alpha command clear in my voice. That made my pack member's eyes widen and immediately everyone bow.

"Alpha."

"At ease." Everyone gets back to their original positions.

"Are you back for real or are you going to leave again?" A child asks and I tilt my head slightly. Before I could answer, my Beta interrupts.

"You all will be announced if anything changes, RightNow, she remains your Alpha." It was no hidden truth that I had a mate and my chances of staying away from him were low, but I hoped.

I hoped.

I give a small smile before we walk back into the house I once called home. Klepto, Darius, and Avalon follow close behind.

I was happy that Darius was not the clingy type, he watched from afar - and was not always breathing down my neck to make me and everyone uncomfortable.

It was a good quality he had.

My Beta and Gamma took their seats after I took mine.

Darius sat beside me and I tried my best to not look at him. His accompanying me here was enough to distract me, I didn't want him to distract me even more.

It was quiet for a while and I looked down at my hands. They were cold. I felt as if I didn't belong here anymore.

I looked back up, my action grabbing everyone's attention.

"How is the pack going? Were there any more kidnappings?"

"No, the kidnappings have completely stopped in every pack. The search that was sent for our two females has returned with no success." I close my eyes as I let my mind register what my Beta just said.

"It's like, the people who had started the kidnappings had gotten everyone." My Beta added.

"Or, it could be this that they are waiting for the perfect time to kidnap one more female who is perhaps more stronger than the others." My Gamma speaks and I could feel eyes on me.

Oh, come on! Not this again.

Darius growl and pull my seat closer to him - this action making my wolf purr while I growl out to him and try to pull my seat away but he doesn't allow it.

Okay, maybe he was on the edge today. Probably because of being surrounded by wolves.

Everyone watch us in silence.

"I am not getting kidnapped an-"

My Gamma stands up abruptly,

"You don't know that! Did you fucking forget about that tea laced with wolfsbane? Did you forget about the destroyed shed? Have you forgotten that you are the first female who has Alpha blood running through her veins and is soon to be Lycan Queen!?"

His voice is loud - like an Alpha - and I growl. My wolf felt threatened.

"Lower your voice Gamma! I don't tolerate disrespect." My Gamma takes heed and after giving me one more look, he sits back down.

"Look, we are here for some other reason. I am not here to fight with you both -" I looked at my Beta, "- I wanted to see if I am wanted here or not."

My Beta's eyes grew wide and my Gamma's fist clench.

My Beta opened his mouth to say something - probably something like, 'Of course You belong here' - but I raised my hand,

"Go, call everyone to gather outside." My Beta closes his mouth and looks to his brother who nods. My Beta looks back at me and I smile, giving him the green light and just like that, he walked out.

I too stood up, everyone followed.

"Alpha, can I talk to you?" I look at my Gamma and then at everyone else - except Darius - then look back at my Gamma and nod.

Avalon and Klepto also exit the house leaving the three of us, Darius, me, and my Gamma.

"Alone," Gamma added when he saw Darius not going away. Immediately a growl resounded throughout the place and I sigh. This was not going to be easy.

I turned around to see Darius with a stoic expression but steam coming out of his ears.

"Please Darius, I need this." Darius stepped towards me and quickly landed a peck on my lips while glaring at the man behind me and walked away, leaving me in a hot less.

What the fuck!? He pecked my lips as if it was nothing!

I turned around with a red face towards my Gamma who had an amused look on his face.

"He thinks that I -"

"Can we talk about what you wanted to talk about?" My rude words struck him across the face. Enough to remind him that I was not exactly pleased with him.

He realizes this and straightens up.

"Look, I am sorry," he sighed. "I never wanted to take your position or send you with your mate. I did not know what to do to keep you safe. I wouldn't forgive myself if something happened to you. I am so sorry Alph-" I cut him off.

"I forgive you." He looks down at his feet.

"You don't understand, I promised your father who was really kind enough to take me and my brother in his pack that I will take care of you with my life. I can't imagine if something happened to you."

He looks at me in the eyes and sees his eyes shinning, clearly showing he was about to cry,

Oh hell no!

"When I thought that I had no one to help me out, your father gave me everything even if I refused to tell him my identity. I owe him my everything and it pains me to take your position while you were awa-"

"I asked you to take my position Gamma, you did nothing wrong, you did what I ordered you to. Trust me-" I grab his hands, "- I forgive you. I cannot stay angry at you."

At that moment, the 6 feet giant took me in his arms and dug his head on my shoulder. I was shocked until I felt my shoulder getting wet.

He was crying! My brave strong Gamma was crying.

"I forgive you and I will hold no grudge against you if my own pack members choose you over me, you deserve everything You are getting." I tighten my arms around him.

Now, I knew very well what my pack will choose. Of course.

"Your father is not here anymore and so -" I pulled away to look in his eyes.

"I, Asher, owe you everything. You made me realize, I am capable of my name. Thank you."
