Cold licked my skin the moment we were in the forest, even though the snowfall had stopped long ago, cold was still there, but this time, it didn't affect me - thanks to werewolf genes.

Darius still had me captive in his arms by having his large palm pressed against my head, pushing my face in his chest and the other hand was draped over the back of my thighs.

He was carrying me like he would carry an infant.

My arms were completely pressed between his and my body. I didn't have much space to move but I could still think of something to get away from him.

"I swear Darius, let me go!" I snarled in my Alpha voice - which thanks to the moon was still as strong as ever - while squirming.

He definitely did not like me commanding him because he snarled back loudly. I wish I could see his damn face and if my hands were free, I would've gifted him with a slap for free.

I mean, yes, I do feel attracted to this guy but I don't want him to control me the way he does. I am my own person for god's sake!

He can't carry me whenever and wherever he pleased.

So I did the first thing that came to my mind,

I extended my claws from my fingers and dinked into his skin, a small howl escaped from him and he immediately pulls me away from his chest. I could easily spot the four spots that had started to pour blood on his chest.

I had created a wound on his chest causing my wolf to whine.

I was on the ground and smirking. Served him right thought the actual reason for me smirking was that now I knew he wasn't completely invincible and that I was not on that much of a lower level than him.

He saw that and let's just say that He did not like that.

He immediately shifted, my eyes widened and I tried to get up. His beast scared me and it hurt my pride as well that how easily I was scared of this gigantic beast.

I was about to get up from the snow when I was slammed back on the ground. The last thing I saw was his Lycan jaw coming towards me and closing in on my throat before I blacked out.

He didn't pierce my skin but it was enough to press my pressure point and knock me out.

The darkness covered me like a duvet and I could do nothing about it.

I don't know how much time passed, what happened after I was knocked out but when I did open my eyes the next time, I was in a steaming hot tub.

At first, I didn't quite understand where I was until I slipped into the bathtub while standing up.

"Ah~" I hissed as fell on my bum in the steaming water.

"Fuck." I whisper to myself. My butt hurts.

But on the bright side, The water had completely calmed my muscles and cleaned my body of any dirt.

I admit that the tub was quite exquisite but the whole bathroom included was another thing. It was beautiful but the fact that I had seen it before ruined the mood.

I was back at Darius' pack, in his room.

Immediately my palm cup my forehead and I close my eyes.

The hellhole I had escaped with so much trouble, I was back in it.

Talking about escaping, Marco came to my mind. He wouldn't be happy to see me, since the last time I had stabbed him.

Definitely but it's not like I would be happy to see him too.

I sigh again.

What am I going to do? I have a pack to go back and fulfill the duty there.

What about the duty the moon goddess had given you?

She had given me a duty here. To be the Lycan Queen here but it's not easy to let go of what I had built so easily, What I had grown the pack into even after making several enemies and getting insults thrown at me.

My gaze slowly wanders in the water that coated my skin to notice I was naked.

I know, we bath naked but who put me in the bath in the first place. My cheeks flushed at the possibility.

A weird feeling ignited in the pit of my stomach that I had never felt before and I felt embarrassed. For the first time, I felt embarrassed by something like this.

My wolf was also busy thinking - I quote, 'Did he like what he saw?'.

Immediately I stood up, more carefully than the last time, and slowly got out. Pulling the soft towel over my body, I searched for any sign of the clothes.

I spotted them folded over the tiled sink.

I quickly pull on whatever was placed.

Garments, a pair of sweats, and a satin cropped hoodie. I looked at myself in the floor-length mirror and nodded when I liked what I saw.

My thread like wet hair fell limp on my back and I sighed, running a hand through them.

Then I finally walked out of the bathroom, preparing the rant I was going to give Darius but - news flash - he was not in the room.

Oh well. I will shout at him when he returns.

I slowly walked with padded feet to the door that connected the hallway and opened it, immediately being graced by the back of one and only Marco.

Ah, I will have fun in annoying him.

"Didn't see you there, Marco." He didn't even spare me a glance and kept looking forward. I didn't like it. I decided to poke his patience a bit more.

"How is the wound I gave you?" A small snarl resounded in the empty corridor and I smirked.

Perfect.

I stepped out and stood in front of him, I tilted my head slightly with my canines pulled out - showing power.

"You still have the fuck face." I was slammed against the wall in a second.

I might not be able to harm the King but Marco, I can fight him well. He was just another Alpha for me - maybe a lot more stronger but who cares. It's the try that counts.

Immediately I raise my leg and kick him in the nuts. Marco let me go and step back, clutching himself.

"Touch me again and I'll rip your arms out peasent."

"I cannot wait for the day when King tames you, teach you to respect then maybe you can get my respect," I growled really loud - in the angry Alpha mood - and the large windows of the hall shuddered.

Marco had his eyes widened for awhile but he recovered.

"Don't treat me as if I hold no authority! Animals who can't talk properly and can't give respect are best treated as animals like you!"

"You see, I don't give a fuck about you Alphas, my respect is only for my King and his people. One day, for the Queen but that is if she learns her place and forgets her pack."

I growled again and punched him straight in the face.

That ticked him off and he lunged at me just as I lunged at him but a hand wrapped around my waist and pulled me back behind their back.

Sparks erupted but I was blinded by anger.

We both had our patience poked at the moment.

I know I know, I was the first to poke his patience.

But what can I do? I am here against my will.

The moment Marco saw his King, he stopped and looked down.

"I understand that you do not like werewolves but you are not to harm your own future Queen." Darius' voice boomed and Marco took a step back with his head still bent down.

"I was merely scaring her King, I had no intention to harm her but she was crossing the lines and testing my patience," Marco said.

"Merely scaring? I'll show you stupid Lycan." I lunged myself from behind Darius at Marco but I was grabbed before I could even touch a hair on Marco.

Darius had a firm grip on me, stopping me from killing Marco.

When Marco saw that, I swear I saw a small tilt on the corner of his lips.

Bastard!

"Not so fast wolf, we have something else to do." And casually, Darius pulled me into his room, but before entered the room, Marco called.

"Alpha-" When I looked at him, surprise evident in my eyes that he called me by my title but that surprise turned to anger as soon as he poked his tongue at me.

My jaw dropped.

I looked at Darius but he was already in the room and was carrying me in too with his secured hold.

I could not give Marco a complete reaction to his smug face because Darius had pulled me in.

Fuckers!

The door was closed and locked. The moment I turned around, I wish I could jump out of the window - or better - go and sit with Marco.

Because I was sure, whatever Darius had in mind was not on my wishlist.
