Chapter 21 | Aiyana
Aiyana ( E t e r n a l F l o w e r )
My Gamma.
He held the power equal to an Alpha.
I raised my fist in an instant, my knuckles were ready to collide with his strong hard jaw and it would have completed its journey if it was not for Darius grabbing it.
Tingles started from my fist and raced to explore my body. A small involuntary shiver went in my body but I still held his stare.
A crow cawed in the distance and that was the only sound in this area besides our harsh breathing.
"I would rather die than be with you." Venom was clear and even I was shocked by the amount of distaste in my voice.
Only a small growl escaped his lips and his grip tightened around my fist.
"You cannot force me," I said a few quiet seconds, and his lips lifted up to show his canines.
The same canines that were destined to sink in my neck.
Then he slowly brought his lips to my ear, pulling me forward from my jaw by his hand even more.
Goosebumps appeared on my neck.
"What are you do-" the rest of the sentence died in my mouth when he muttered his,
"Challenge accepted, Mia Cara." And then he left, dropping his hand from my face, slamming the door loudly behind him.
I looked down at my fist that was in his palm only a while ago to see it shaking slightly. Both my hands were shaking.
He was the cause of this.
My heart was thumping hard and I grew frustrated. I brought my palms up to my face and screamed all my tensions and frustrations out.
I sounded like a banshee and I was sure, Darius heard me.
It pained me to even think about this situation. That I had to leave all my hard work for him. My heart ached every time I thought about it.
I was sick of it now.
Darius would not let me live here in peace and I will never be in peace with him. I had to get away.
I had to before I did something that was not meant to happen.
Even if that would be the last thing I did.
...
The sun had already set and my pain was going to return soon. Darius had still not returned yet and I was happy that he hasn't.
Even though my wolf wasn't.
She was so smitten that she was ready to serve herself on a gold platter to Darius.
"Gamma, report." I mind link since I had nothing else to pass the time in this small shed.
"Alpha, everything is running smoothly, nothing is out of order. Reports on your situation?" A chuckle escaped me.
This guy was always worrying about me and that was something I admired about him. He cared about everyone in the pack.
Like a mother hen.
A quality an Alpha has.
"I am alive."
"That's good, I want a healthy Alpha after tomorrow." A smile takes its permanent position on my face and I sigh.
Darius was right about my Gamma being an Alpha, but the news was not new to me. At some point in my life, I did notice some things about him but he didn't want to do anything with power even when I offered him the Beta position.
He declined - as if he was scared to inherit such status so he chose the Gamma. He was stronger than everyone else in the pack, including his brother but he never showed off.
Whenever we sparred, it felt as if he was holding back a lot. Wolves would be calm whenever he was there and even I was surprised by that. Yes, the wolves would be calm whenever I was there too but it was new for me to see them calm in a crucial time in the presence of a Gamma.
"Gamma, if something happens to me - promise me that you will take care of the pack. With your life."
"Why? What's happening?"
"Just promise me. I trust you Gamma, Please promise me." He didn't say anything for a while. He was quiet.
"Why me?"
"Because I want you to. Why are you so afraid of having power?! Gamma, I trust you. That's why!" Again it was quiet and I felt the pain starting to crawl from my toes.
"Okay . . . I promise."
"Thank you." I hardly whispered before a scream tore through me, the pain returning even stronger than before.
I clutched my shirt over my chest and tried to claw at my body, trying to pull out things that hurt.
The door of the sled opened and I saw the silhouette of a female coming closer. Not knowing the incoming figure, I kicked - pushing all the pain and energy I had left in that kick.
The female grunted as she was caught off guard and I was going to attack her - not thinking straight in pain - when someone grabbed me and pushed me on the bed. Pinning me down.
My eyes made out the golden eyes and canines extending to their full length.
"Darius." I whispered, "It fucking hurts like a bitch. I will kill you for doing this to me." I mumble the words.
And then, something prick through my skin, and darkness immediately fought my consciousness to take over me.
Everything hurt, pained.
Letting out one last scream, I gave in.
Darkness. The only place where no one hurt me or gave me headaches. The only place with peace.
The only place where there was no Darius.
...
I know it's a short chapter. I am sorry for that.
I am just tired all in all and I have been writing this story as a draft since August and now it's October. I just can't find it in me to write but still not going to stop!!
After this book, I hope I will edit my books😳 that I have been trying to do for decades.
