Chapter 79
Chapter 79
“Is that all?”
Christy didn’t believe a word Joshua said.
“Yes, what did you think it was? I just didn’t kiss you for one afternoon, and now you’re already craving for it? You’re so hungry for it. So, tell me how you want me to kiss you?” Joshua said.
“You!”
Christy was so angry that she was on the verge of exploding like a volcano. She couldn’t bear it any longer and yelled.
“Joshua, you’re sick! You’re really sick! Who cares about kissing you? Your mouth has been kissed by so many women. It’s dirty!”
Joshua furrowed his brows as if he had been hurt.
Joshua never expected that Christy would come up with such words to insult him.
Joshua cursed to himself. “Damn it, no woman has ever dared to say that to me…”
“Say it again!” Joshua’s face turned dark.
“Your mouth is dirty! It’s disgusting!” Christy said in frustration, her cheeks puffing up like an angry squirrel.
Just when Joshua finally managed to contain his temper, he was provoked again by the angry Christy.
His face darkened, and he walked menacingly towards her, his eyes looking as if he was about to devour her.
Christy was frightened by Joshua’s aura, and before she could react, he had already come close to her. He held her face in his hands and fiercely kissed her on the lips.
It took Joshua several seconds to finally let go of Christy.
Christy’s mind went blank…
Joshua never expected that her lips were still swollen from their earlier kissing, and now he had made it worse!
Christy couldn’t believe it. Joshua kissed her without any warning, like a sudden storm!
“You say my mouth is dirty? I just want to kiss you. Let’s see if your mouth is still okay tomorrow.” Joshua smiled triumphantly, like a thief who had just successfully stolen something.
Christy was so angry that her face turned red and then pale, and she felt like she was going crazy if she kept dealing with this unreasonable man.
“What’s the difference between you and a rogue?” She was so angry that she couldn’t even speak coherently.
“Are you still living in the Middle Ages? Why is your thinking so outdated?” Joshua laughed dismissively with a teasing tone. For some reason, when Joshua hadn’t seen Christy, he felt particularly irritable. But when he saw her, his heart would settle down. Even when Christy was angry and walking around in front of Joshua, he felt that she was cute in a way that he couldn’t explain. She was so cute that he couldn’t resist teasing her.
Suddenly, Joshua felt that the wine on Christy’s lips just now, with its aroma and sweetness, was more charming than the sweet kiss they had shared earlier.
Joshua thought that Christy must have drunk wine just now, and he never thought that Christy would know how to drink.
Joshua thought it tasted like red wine.
He swept his eyes around the room and found a wine cabinet on one side.
On the wine cabinet, there was a tall glass with a little red wine hanging from it.
Joshua thought Christy just drank this glass just now.
He walked to the wine cabinet, poured some wine into the glass, picked it up, and gently shook it.
The bright red wine swirled in the glass, leaving a faint layer of red on the glass wall before returning to the bottom.
“Not bad.” Joshua elegantly lifted the glass.
Christy exclaimed angrily, “That wine belongs to my friend. You just took it without permission. Don’t you have any manners?”
“It is just a glass of wine. Today, I am determined to drink it here. Worst case scenario, I’ll give her a wine cellar. Shouldn’t that be enough?” Joshua continued to lift the glass to his lips.
Christy couldn’t believe it.
Chapter 79
That was the glass that she used before!
The thought that Joshua would indirectly have kissed her again if he drank from the same glass made her unable to tolerate
- it.
It was just too disgusting for her.
So she rushed over and took the glass from Joshua’s hand, then drank it all in one gulp. She flipped the glass upside down and said with a stern face, “This is my glass. Who told you to drink from it!”
Joshua was taken aback.
He thought she was unreasonable. Nobody would drink red wine like that.
Christy hadn’t eaten yet and had just drunk two glasses of wine on an empty stomach. The alcohol went straight to her head and her face turned as red as a small apple. Even her steps became light and ethereal.
Her beautiful eyes were filled with hazy fatigue.
Watching Christy’s subtle changes after drinking, Joshua smiled. He was surprised by this stubborn woman. Her alcohol tolerance was clearly poor, yet she still insisted on opposing him.
“You’re drunk. I’ll take you back to the villa.” Joshua chuckled.
But in Christy’s vision, his smile turned into a sinister grin, making her feel like he had malicious intentions.
“I’m not drunk. I’m perfectly sober!”
Christy declared fiercely.
However, Christy began to worry. She had always thought she had a good tolerance for alcohol, but she was feeling so uncomfortable this time. She suspected that she had just drunk too quickly.
Just then, a beep sound came from the timer on the induction cooker, indicating that the food was ready.
The fragrant smell of the food wafted out of the kitchen.
“It’s time for dinner. Woman, why don’t you hurry up and serve the meal for your man?” Joshua said with a smirk.
“This is mine and Victoria’s food. I didn’t cook for you!” Christy really felt like he had thick skin.
“Victoria isn’t here anymore, so I’ll take her share,” Joshua said matter–of–factly.
“Are you serious? What did you do to Victoria? If she has been wronged, I won’t let you get away with it!” Christy was angry
and worried.
“I just asked my
assistant to thank Victoria properly on my behalf! “Why don’t you believe me? Here’s the deal. You call your friend right now. If she is satisfied with the gift I sent her, then you have to treat me to dinner,” Joshua said confidently.
Christy was stunned for a moment. She realized that she had forgotten to call Victoria.
The next moment, she picked up her phone and dialed Victoria’s number.
“Put it on speaker!” Joshua demanded arrogantly.
“Fine!” Christy rolled her eyes at him.
Christy felt that if Victoria had been wronged, the phone conversation would serve as evidence.
“Victoria, they didn’t do anything to you, right?” Christy asked worriedly.
“Christy, I’m fine. They said they wanted to adapt my novel into a movie, with an investment of 30 million dollars, and they invited me to be the producer and screenwriter for the movie. Oh my god! It feels like I’m dreaming! It’s my dream to bring my work to the screen!”
Victoria’s excited voice came through the phone to Christy.
Christy could tell that Victoria was very happy.
Christy could hear elegant classical music in the background of the call, suggesting that Victoria was in a high–end
restaurant.
A faint smile formed on Joshua’s lips.
In Joshua’s eyes, only Terence could have come up with the idea of investing 30 million dollars in the work of that talented Victoria and turning it into a movie.
Joshua silently praised Terence, thinking he had done an excellent job!
Joshua felt that Terence was worthy of being his assistant, as he was generous and skilled at flirting with girls, no less than Joshua!
Joshua estimated that Victoria must be over the moon by now!

Chapter 79
To Joshua, this was enough to completely humiliate that poor woman, Christy.
In Joshua’s opinion, Victoria was the only friend that Christy had.
Joshua believed that since Clara was now on his side, if he could also bring Victoria over to his team, then conquering Christy was just a matter of time.
The more Joshua thought about it, the more pleased he became.
Little did Christy know that this ferocious man, Joshua, had already extended his influence towards those around her in order to conquer her…
