Chapter 148: Return To The Sky Dungeon - Part 3
'Tsk...'
Jay realised that he was indeed helpless for another 40 minutes and all he could do was just rely on Res for now.
Whole each and every second was important to him, his 40 minutes were just being wasted thanks to the idiotic system which he considered to be very great after the replacement.
'I guess... because it turned hybrid... it retained the unlucky part that would always go against me...', he thought and was about to sit on the sofa yet again when all of a sudden he found Res walking towards him.
"Come with me...", Res said.
At first Jay had no idea as where he would be taken, but it was onmy after following him and inquiring him did he got to know the destination which Res has prepared.
"Where are we going Res sir?", he asked.
"Well, we will be heading to the rooftop first and after that tell me what help you want...", was what Res said.
"Huh...? Help?", Jay was confused when he heard this from Res because he had no idea or why would such a big star would go out of his way to help him.
He had little to absolutely no memory of the fact that his father and Res were close friends.
Regardless, he was confused right now so he just left the matter to flow smoothly while he went along with the flow instead of sitting back and watching it.
While they were walking towards the rooftop, Jay took the leisure to peek on Res' stats using the system.
'System, display his stats...', that was all he said in his mind and expected to look at how strong Res was, but unfortunately, he failed to see his stats.
Instead, all that he gotnto see was an idiotic message from the system.
'Ding'
==========
[ Mana Restoring Program is on the run ]
[ System won't be responsive to the host till all the mana has been restored ]
[ Time Left for unsealing of the skills and total mana restore is ]
-> 00:00:37:31 [ 37 minutes 31 seconds ]
==========
After looking at that, Jay just inevitably became angry.
'First of all you Seal my skills because of which you almost killed me...'
'Secondly, you don't allow me to see at anyone's stats?', that was the main thing which annoyed him after the sealing of the skills.
He was already frustrated because it was as if despite having the massive powers in him, he was just shackled.
For a second he thought that if the system was non-existent, then he would have been in a much better condition than now!
They soon arrived at the rooftop immediately after which Res who was walking forward, turned back.
He asked, "Now tell me Jay, how should I help you?"
"Huh...?", Jay was shocked to see Res directly asking this.
He didn't know what to tell right now and was totally confused but the idea of getting help from someone like Res didn't seem that bad to him.
So without any hesitation he asked, "Can you help me to reach some place?"
"Ah? That's it?", Res asked.
Res' ability, as explained earlier, was that to create portals and connect them.
He could basically create his portals at almost any and all places without even actually visiting that place.
Just that he had to be told about the coordinates of the place before hand. If he were to know the exact coordinates, then he would be able to get there without any problem and can form portals that could transfer anyone to that place.
So basically he could travel the entire earth without even losing a bit of money.
It was possible for him to go to other planets too but his powers also had a limit but that limit wasn't known yet.
"Yes...", Jay nodded his head.
"Hmm... Alright, tell me where do you plan to go?", Res asked.
"...", Jay was quiet for a while.
He was wondering if it was the best option to tell him about the sky dungeon to which he was heading to right now.
'Is this a good idea...?'
He worried that if Res were to find out about this, he might end up asking many other questions as to why he wanted to go and how he found the place.
He didn't want to answer any such questions, furthermore, he didn't want to become a target for suspicion or wanted any recognitions right now.
He wanted to keep his profile as low as possible, but little did he know what was being talked about him in the news and TVs.
But he could t afford to waste time either.
If he wanted, he could fly all the way to the dungeon after resting for 40 minutes, but he wasn't someone who could predict the future and that was why he was worried about his sister.
Now he was in a predicament and he had to decide what to chose.
Either he had to be exposed to the unlimited questions of Res or he had to save his sister.
Without any second though he chose the latter and said, "I want to go to the Sky Dungeon."
The moment Res heard that, his eyes widened up.
"You... want to go to the sky dungeon?", he asked with a surprised tone as if he didn't believe what Jay asked.
"Yes...", Jay replied and nodded his head.
Res was not someoen who lived under the rock. He was well aware of what the sky dungeon was about which it was procrastinated in the news.
Basically it was thought to be a legend but after seeing the very few footage's that were recovered, it was confirmed that it indeed was a sky dungeon!!!
But after Jay had cleared the dungeon, it seemed like it has vanished from the view.
Almost all of them wanted to know about it, but since it literally vanished, the news slowly settled down.
But right now the same thing was brought up again and if anyone would hear that, without a doubt the person would be shocked.
"Do you know where it is!?", Res asked.
"..."
The moment Jay heard that, he smiled because whatever he thought was actually being happened.
The questions had started to be asked and now it was his turn to answer them.
"Yes, I know where it is...", he said with a calm voice.
On seeing his calmness, Res was being forced to ask more question, but for some reason he felt that it would be best to leave the topic at that for now.
That was why he didn't ask anything else and said, "Alright, tell me the exact location of the sky dungeon."
"...", Jay was quite for a while.
He most definitely knew at what height the dungeon was located, but unfortunately he didn't know how far it was from here because this was not the place from where Res had saved him earlier by using Portal.contemporary romance
So Jay asked, "Can you first send me to the place where you I was falling earlier?"
Res nodded his head and formed a Portal right away while wondering if the sky dungeon was exactly present over there.
He immediately extended his left hand right after which a Portal appeared.
"I should go through this right?",, Jay asked even while knowing it just confirm it.
"Yes.", Res said.
Immediately after Jay heard that, he rushed inside the Portal right after which he appeared on top of a roof.
He looked here and there and found the area a bit familiar.
He raised his head a bit up only to find the large cloud still present right over him with which he concluded that he was at the right place.
He turned back only to find Res also coming through the Portal in order to check if the dungeon was here or somewhere else.
He did have an idea that the Sky dungeon was meant to be somewhere in the sky, but right now he was concerned with what Jay was doing because of which he didn't think of anything else.
"Where is the dungeon?", Res ended up asking Jay.
"Well...", Jay was a bit hesitant to say, but then again withiutvtelling the location he wouldn't be able to go there.
He took a look at the system too to check how many minutes were left.
==========
[ Time Left ]
-> 00:00:29:56 [ 29 minutes 56 seconds ]
==========
Approximately still a whole 30 minutes were left so Jay had no other choice right now.
"Well, it's somewhere but promise me that you won't come inside the next Portal.... or behind me...", Jay said.
"Huh...?", immediately after Res heard that, he understood that Jay didn't wanted him to come to the sky dungeon for reasons unknown.
However Res was quite curious to take a look at the place.
Regardless, he respected Jay's request and said, "Alright, I won't..."
Jay couldn't actually believe him right away but then again he couldn't possibly ask him to form some thing like Soul contract so that he wouldn't break the promise!
"Alright, then a Portal for 3,000 metres height...", Jay said.
"..."
Res heard that and right away extended his hand once again.
Immediately after that another Portal was formed into which Jay entered right away after which the Portal closed.
"..."
"Sigh... was that all the help that you needed...?", Res asking in a low voice with his gazes lowered.
It was quite silent now and the fact that Jay didn't wanted to take him was bugging him.
But he stopped thinking complicated matters right now and just sighed.
To be continued...
