Chapter 98 Not a day later
"Andrew, you are too much!"
Sarah's back was a distance from his hands. She tried to use her strength to break free from his shackles. She kicked wildly and she fell entirely into his embrace. Her thin patient gown was in a mess because of her struggles.
Her collar was opened revealing her fair collar bone, she struggled to breathe, and attempted to use all her strength to resist his actions.
"Sarah, does it make you feel better to go against me?"
Andrew's cold but steely face looked at her and held her hands tightly. Forcing her not to move.
"Is it because of me being hard on you or do you always force me to do what I don't like?" Sarah glared at him.
"It's only three more days and you are unhappy?"
Sarah laughed coldly, three more days? One more day was too much!
Sarah screamed and her hand was held so tightly that red marks appeared.
"You're asking for it!"
He squinted and looked ruthless.
Sarah hated him using these methods to force her. No matter how much she said was useless.
The person who went out was back and he wasn't alone.
Beside him was a woman, Emily.
"Andrew, so you are here." As she came in, she looked surprised when she saw Andrew.
His expression was calm and tightly held onto the woman.
"Yeah."
"Let me down." Sarah couldn't resist it. There are others around and he wouldn't dare to do anything drastic.
Andrew doesn't do anything else.
Sarah closed her eyes and slipped her fingers into his waist and forcefully pinched him. He only frowned and she increased her strength but he didn't release her.
Then, someone walked over and placed Sarah's hands on his shoulders and forcefully snatch her from Andrew's embrace. He was very violent and finally, Sarah was free and fell into his arms. Matthew was sullen and didn't speak a word. He stubbornly held onto Sarah. His eyes were dark as night and savage like a beast. He stared at Andrew, "Didn't you hear her say to release her?" The chilling breath lingers thick and strong.
Andrew's arms were empty and Sarah escaped from his embrace.
Both men were facing each other. They were similar in height and equally matched. The air was tensed.
The chilling scene could freeze a person to death.
"What are you doing? We are all friends, can't you talk it through?"
Emily said and used her smile to ease the tension.
They were staring at each other, sizing each other up. The disdain, the suspicion, the disgust, all were mixed into their expression.
"Not friends."
"Don't know him."
They said simultaneously.
The awkwardness of the moment was inexplicable.
Everyone froze in position. Sarah looked at Andrew, Andrew looked at Sarah. Emily looked at Andrew, Andrew looked at Sarah, Matthew looked at Andrew, Andrew looked at Sarah. "Looks good?" he raised his eyebrow, and hooked his smile and raised his hand for answers.
Sarah turned her head and looked away.
Between the two nothing was said nor done, they continued to stare.
Emily walked over to Sarah's side, "Sarah, this morning I already explained to you, if you are kicking a fuss with Andrew over what happened last night, then it is really not worth it."
These words didn't faze Sarah.
At this point, Andrew held onto Emily's hand, "No need to explain, you can't wake someone who pretends to be asleep."
"No, Andrew, I heard about it, last night Sarah was injured and a large portion was due to your absence. If you were around, perhaps it wouldn't have happened.
Emily was filled with remorse and shame.
Andrew frowned and looked at Sarah and answered to Emily, "It's not your fault, anyone else wouldn't mind."
"But Andrew..." Emily said and stopped herself. She felt uneasy and bit her lips and looked at Sarah. "Okay, I'll take note. But Sarah, Andrew is really good to you, you must cherish him."
From the beginning to now, Sarah did not say a word and looked at them converse. From what Emily said, she meant that Sarah does not know how to cherish Andrew?
"Emily, looks like you put in a lot of effort into him and me." Sarah laughed.
These words stunned the people around them.
The words were loaded and they couldn't tell what she meant.
But Matthew's cold eyes turned into jealousy when he heard Sarah's words. He said coldly, "If it's not meant to be, why force it?"
"Don't speak." Sarah looked at Matthew and ordered.
He turned sullen, not knowing was this a rebut or otherwise. He shuts up.
Sarah looked at him maintaining his silence and said, "Last night has passed, I can't take it to heart even if I wanted to. I'll say this, I won't wait for three days. I'll go back today with Bonnie. Andrew, you can stay with Emily.
"Sarah." Andrew replied as if his patience has been drained.
Sarah didn't bother with him. After saying she walked to the window and Matthew walked over to her.
The furious man looked at the scene and his eyes scanned her face and wanted so much to viciously rip her indifference expression. He hates it when she has that look!
Why does she have so many expressions that he had never seen?
With Matthew, she has this panic and unmentionable pain.
With Bruce, she wanted to escape and indescribable sorrow.
And with Andrew, it was always a fake and crafty smile. This woman kept thinking of ways to make him happy and she wondered if he really wants to see that fake smile of hers. Emily looked intently at Sarah and Matthew and dragged Andrew out.
She closed the door, "Don't be angry, at this moment her mind is in a daze, I'm a woman and I understand how she is thinking." She comforted him.
"No, she did it on purpose."
"Andrew, it's all my fault. Next time I'll minimize contact with you. I really don't want to wedge between you two."
Andrew pursed his lips tightly.
...
"How did you know that I was there last night?" Sarah asked Matthew.
When last night was mentioned, his eyes softened.
"I saw him coming out of that place. The company invested in some project around that area. I thought of you and went for a look and true enough you were there."
He said simply.
Sarah heard his explanation and gently pursed her lips. Last night if he didn't come for her, what could've happened to her was unimaginable.
"Matt, regarding last night, I really want to thank you." She bows deeply in gratitude.
