Mr. Right, Spoil Me

Chapter 105 Andrew Arrived

Bianca and Phyllis fixated at her. Perhaps they had forgotten what Sarah had just said about choosing some clothes for an infant. "Are you looking at me?"

It was Sarah who couldn't bear with it, smile, and broke the awkwardness.

She regretted coming here. They weren't supposed to meet but yet met under the most unexpected circumstances.

"Mrs. Bask, are you here alone?" Bianca asked curiously.

"No, with some friends. They are trying out some clothes and I'm here to browse."

Her palms were sweating, she was anxious.

At this moment, the sales lady who went to look for the hood with ears came over.

When she saw Sarah, she supposed that she can't make up her mind, smiled, and said, "Miss, rest assured that your friend will be satisfied with these. The quality of our materials and designs are very suitable for babies. We use imported cotton, you need not worry."

Sarah sighed in relief. It was a good thing she said that the clothes were for others.

She looked at the two of them as they in turn exchanged looks seeming to indicate that they had understood.

"That's good, please wrap them up for me."

Sarah didn't want to remain there a moment more than she needed to.

"Mrs. Bask, can you stay for a chat?" Phyllis suddenly grabbed Sarah's hands as if they had known each other for a while.

Sarah looked at her and didn't detect any ill intentions and didn't have a good reason to turn her down. She only hoped that Anne will quickly come over.

"Go ahead." She nodded.

Phyllis held Bianca's hand and walked over. "Mrs. Bask, my sister is naïve and innocent, she doesn't have any bad intentions within her. When she saw Director Bask who is so talented and uncommonly dashing, it was inevitable that this kid was smitten. I heard that Andrew was drunk that night and out of good intentions, she brought him to rest. Furthermore, it was Director Bask who told my sister that he doesn't have any girlfriend. Once she heard that she became bold. But we didn't expect Director Bask to be so cheeky. He was married and didn't clearly say so and gave her empty hopes. I wish that Mrs. Bask will forgive my sister for what happened that night. She was also surprised when the facts were known. She is still young and shouldn't get involved in such matters."

After finishing, she had a worried and sincere expression, looking at Sarah.

Actually when she was uneasy when her opinion on the matter was sought. She was only Mrs. Bask by name. What authority does she have?

What can she do?

Take for example if Andrew and Bianca really engaged in something that night, what can she do about it?

The way Phyllis and Bianca acted, it was like she was very domineering.

Her marriage with Andrew had been a secret. Only those close to them knew. Other than that, no one was the wiser.

Phyllis asked again, "Mrs. Bask, can I ask something else?"

"Go ahead."

Phyllis had a head of grey and black short-cropped hair, very unlike Bianca's youthfulness. She was obviously capable and decisive.

From her office lady dressing, she looked like a career woman. She looked at Sarah and squinted, "After that night, we were wondering, why doesn't Director Bask announce that he is married? We were all surprised that he suddenly has a wife. If it wasn't he who concealed this fact, my sister wouldn't have been so daring. Director Bask is indeed talented, dashing, and manly. The Brown family is upright, righteous, and respectful of etiquette. We know the boundaries with a married man."

This question seemed to nail Sarah's feet to the ground. She stood still and didn't move an inch.

Her heart raced, how should she answer?

The words stung a little but she mustn't show it.

Phyllis wasn't like Bianca. As the elder sister, she stood in front shielding Bianca from the realities of the world. Her words were measured and pointed.

"Sister, stop it, these are all the Bask family matters. We don't need to ask so much. In the end, he was already married."

Bianca softly said and wanted to pull Phyllis back from the line of questioning.

"Dumb girl, don't you know that if it wasn't for Director Bask, would you be accused of misbehaving?" That night, how many people who saw it said that we were using you to sell yourself for glory? That you dreamt of getting into the Bask family. Now we are the joke of the town, have you thought of the consequences?"

Bianca was properly lectured and lowered her head in silence.

Sarah looked on speechless as well.

"Do I have to explain our family matters to you?"

Suddenly a man walked in bringing his manly air into an infant clothing store. His air didn't change and the mood in the shop tensed up considerably.

Never in Sarah's wildest dreams would she expect him to walk into this shop. Her palms started to sweat nervously.

Bianca and Phyllis were shocked again and stared at him in awe. They couldn't believe their eyes.

When the man stepped in, he pulled Sarah into his embrace.

His height of almost six foot five stood well above the rest and attracted everyone's attention.

"Director... Director Bask."

The Brown sisters both said in unison.

Sarah covered her face. How, how was she going to explain the infant clothes?

Andrew didn't bother with her and looked at the Brown sisters, "I was hoping to have allies with the Brown Group and some latitude with understandings. From what it looks, I was wrong to expect that." "Director Bask, no, it's not that. We didn't make things difficult for your wife. My sister was only worried about me and joked a little. We were just chatting." Bianca tried to explain, worried that Andrew would be upset and take it out on the Brown group.

Her expression was worried and fearful.

Phyllis could see that Andrew's expression was odd and somewhat pleased. She was not sure of his mood and her reaction was delayed.

She wasn't as pointed and direct, instead, she was extremely gentle.

"Director Bask, you are here shopping with your wife?"

Phyllis tried to steer away from the topic and ease the tense atmosphere.

But it appeared that the same question was asked a moment ago... to Sarah.

The man looked at the women in the shop and kissed Sarah's hair. He suppressed his anger. He was about to teach her a lesson but in front of so many, he had no choice but to endure it.

"No, I'm here to pick her up." Sarah was shocked. How does he know that she said that he wasn't here? The answer was just appropriate with what she had said earlier.00000☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
