Chapter 58: Fully Concentrate on Blending
Mirabelle used a dropper to get a small bottle of perfume that was sent by Diana and sent to Moss Group.
Usually, Mirabelle seldom went to Moss Group in person.
In the company, everyone knew that Mirabelle, the daughter of the Moss family, would marry Brooklyn Powell. Also, Moss Group would merge into Powell Group sooner or later.
Mirabelle often went to Powell Group, and employees of Moss Group had been used to it.
On the contrary, Mirabelle showed up in Moss Group suddenly, which made them shocked.
In high heels, Mirabelle walked to an employee and exchanged a few words. Then she walked into the elevator.
The CEO of Moss Group -- Mirabelle's father was in a meeting, listening to a senior executive to report the work status.
His secretary walked over. "Excuse me, Mr. Moss. Ms. Moss is here."
The mid-aged man, who looked enigmatic stopped the senior executive who was reporting. The senior executive stepped away.
All employees knew that Mr. Moss loved Mirabelle very much. Even he was in a meeting, he would stop it when Mirabelle came here.
With a bright smile, Mirabelle walked to Mr. Moss. She said in a sweet, soft, and coquettish tone, "Dad, I haven't seen you for a long time. When will you come back home? I miss you so much!"
Mr. Moss, who always looked serious, suddenly smiled. "You haven't seen me for a long time? I can tell you enjoy staying in Brooklyn's villa."
When he finished, he snorted.
The secretary standing aside was quite sensible. "Mr. Moss, what are you talking about? I can tell that you miss Ms. Moss so much."
Mirabelle smiled sweetly, casting a glance at the senior executive in the office.
The latter exchanged a glance with the secretary and then left the office together.
Watching them go out, Mirabelle pulled out the bottle of perfume from her purse and put it on the desk gently. "Dad, this is the perfume I got recently. Could you please ask your secretary to give it to the technique department? I want to know the recipe of this perfume."
"It's not a big deal. Of course," Mr. Moss agreed. He never refused his daughter's requests.
"How's it going with you and Brooklyn?" asked he.
Mirabelle shook her head, looking quite aggrieved.
Seeing that, Mr. Moss knew that his daughter was wronged, disliking Brooklyn more.
Powell Group's power was much bigger than that of Moss Group in Sliwell City.
Although Moss Group was the second famous company in the perfume business, it couldn't compare to Powell Group in other businesses.
Someone even commented that if Mirabelle would marry Brooklyn, the Moss family would be connected to Powell Group, which was at a higher social position.
Whenever Mr. Moss saw such kind of news, he would be quite furious.
Now, noticing how aggrieved his daughter was when mentioning Brooklyn, he became more unhappy. "Did he bully you?"
"Nope. It's just that Brooklyn has a female assistant working for him now. She's annoying." Seemingly she was careless, Mirabelle repeated Diana's matter.
Listening to her, Mr. Moss looked more annoyed.
Suddenly, Mirabelle changed the subject. "Dad, anyway, please ask the technique department to analyze the recipe of this perfume. If we can produce this perfume in massive amounts, it would bring our Moss Group a huge profit."
Mr. Moss looked less annoyed upon hearing it.
He took a look at Mirabelle and asked with a frown, "Mirabelle, did you develop the perfume yourself?"
Mirabelle faintly smiled. "Nope, but it now belongs to me. With this perfume, I could get the title of the chief perfumer in Sliwell City. At the same time, if we could massively produce it, no matter how good the seasonal perfume of Brooklyn's company will be, I'm afraid it wouldn't compare to us."
Mr. Moss smiled delightfully. It seemed that although his daughter loved Brooklyn deeply, she still cared about her maiden family.
After achieving her goals, Mirabelle left Moss Group. Mr. Moss thought for a moment and then asked his secretary to send the perfume to the technique department.
Although Moss Group looked impressive in appearance, they were suffering from the loss from the perfume sales.
If they couldn't produce a perfume that could defeat other competitors in the market, Moss Group would have more liabilities.
All employees in Powell Group got to know that Diana would replace Ashley to become the manager of the perfume department.
The perfume that Diana had blended was still mysterious in the company.
Except for partial perfumers who had experienced Diana's professional blending skills, most of the employees disdained her.
Diana had just joined the company. What was so good about her replacing a senior employee in the company?
Ashley was the second-best perfumer in Sliwell City.
The chief perfumer was the fiancée of Mr. Powell. Nobody dared to deny it.
On the contrary, it was said that Diana promoted the cooperation between Powell Group and Hillvie Group, but nobody knew how good her perfume was.
Diana didn't care about the gossips
behind her at all. After she had
finished the tasks assigned by
Harper every day, she would come to the perfume department and concentrate on developing the perfume.
Harper heard those rumors and worried that there would be someone who was like Ashley again.
After Brooklyn listened to his worry, he curled up his think lips and asked, "What's her response?"
Harper was taken aback and
answered, "Do you mean Anna? She
has no response at all. After she goes back to the perfume department, she fully concentrates on blending."
Under Brooklyn's order, Harper deliberately paid attention to Diana when she was blending.
He could tell that Diana was quite calm and serious, fully concentrated.
This was the first time that Harper admired and respected a woman.
Brooklyn smiled faintly, curling up his thin lips into a nice arc. He said
in a clear and pleasant tone, "Since she doesn't care about it at all, why are you so nervous?"
Diana was way too interesting -- she didn't care about anything except for the perfume.
Brooklyn wanted to skin the calm look off Anna so that he could see what was in her mind.
"Excuse me, Mr. Powell. Where are you going?" Harper asked in confusion when seeing his boss suddenly stand up.
Brooklyn walked out of the office without looking back. "To the perfume department."
After a few seconds of silence, Harper almost knocked over the tablet in his hands.
Since Mr. Powell took charge of Powell Group, he had never been to the perfume department in person before.
As an important department of Powell Group, not many employees could meet Brooklyn in person.
Upon hearing that he was there, all of the employees turned nervous.
"Where is Ms. Miller?"
"Oh? Do you mean Mr. Powell's female assistant? She's still in the studio to blend."
Some employees were so anxious. Mr. Powell had arrived, but why Ms. Miller was still busy blending?
They wondered if she didn't care about her job.
"Hurry up and ask her to come over!"
Before they went to call Diana, they saw the handsome man, who could hardly be seen in the company usually, walked over to them leisurely.
All of the employees in the perfume department couldn't help but swallow.
They wished that Anna could be fired since she was still blending in the lab.
Brooklyn withdrew his gaze. He didn't find Anna's figure in the crows.
"Where is Anna?" he asked indifferently.
None of them could tell Brooklyn's mood now, wondering if he was delighted or angry.
The deputy manager could only bite the bullets and answer, "Mr. Powell, Ms. Miller is still blending in the studio..."
As soon as Brooklyn heard it, his deep eyes became cold.☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
