Chapter 1082
Chapter 1082
"What do we do, Hal?" When she saw George's car, Ninian panicked. "I can't let George find me here!" If George found out that she had sneakily returned to the country without letting him know and even went into the entertainment industry, he might just toss her out of the country again.
She could not leave at this time, she had not properly thanked Everett yet!
"Don't worry, Ninian!" Harold tried to calm her down, but he was so worked up himself, that he was about to start pulling his hair out.
If George found out Harold and the workshop had developed a new Al simulation android with Ninian's face to replace her living abroad and deceive the Winters family, George would probably skin him alive. But now, it was too late to run. Behind them was the road to the Winters family's mansion, and in front was George's car. It was not like they could fly. "How about this?" Harold said quickly, "Ninian, hide behind my car seat, and the young lady next to you can climb up to the passenger seat and pretend that we're dating to fool George.
"Huh?" Lana's face was blank. Seeing the anxious faces of the siblings, she finally registered what Harold was saying
Outside the window, George's car was already approaching
Hurry!" Harold urged in a low voice.
Lana did not think too much about it and climbed forward with her petite body. When the opposite car approached, she was clearly in the passenger seat. When the fronts of the two cars were aligned, the black luxury car on the opposite lane stopped.
In the passenger seat, Lana once again saw a beautiful face that made her jaw drop!
In the humble black car sat a man with a noble and dignified appearance and a calm face. He wore a pair of silver spectacles. The man raised his eyes slightly and glanced at them with a glance so cold it was like the snow on the mountain. It brought fear to all those who saw him.
The man did not look too old, and he looked very much like Harold, who was beside Lana. But the air of superiority he gave off was much greater than many of the veterans in the entertainment industry. Even hyperactive people would behave when they stood in front of him.
At that moment, Harold was one such hyperactive person.
His mischievous and unruly attitude disappeared, and he became an obedient boy.
"George, you're back," Harold greeted shyly and somewhat diffidently.
Across from him, George swept his gaze over him with cold indifference. His tone was as low as the plucked strings of a cello. "Harold, what are you running for?"
"Huh? I'm not running!" Harold pretended to look aloof, scratching his head and smiling as he said, "I just thought of something important, so I'm rushing to get it done."
"Is that so?" His cool voice gave everyone the chills. George glanced at Lana, who was in the passenger seat, and narrowed his eyes at Harold, saying, "Aren't you just 'amazing'? You'd even toy with such a young girl and bring her back home? Do you want to get beat up?"
"It's not like that!" Harold was so irked that he seemed ready to jump out of his seat. "Am I that kind of person to you? I'm just... just..."
He could not make something up.
If he really denied it, then George would interrogate him thoroughly, and he would not be able to explain it.
He could only let him get the wrong idea.
Harold shut his eyes, as though he could not bear to meet George's gaze, then he said, "I'm not toying with her, we're in a regular relationship!" Meanwhile, Lana had just snapped out of her dazzled state. ...Eh?“
"Heh." George sneered. The surrounding atmosphere became even more oppressive, and Harold shrank his neck away from the cold.
"Miss," George looked at Lana and asked, "If I may be so bold, how old are you?"
Lana was dazed for a moment before stars shone in her eyes again.
